As entertaining as discussing the end times is It seems a little counter productive to me. There are many Christians who believe that the anti-Christ was Nero, and they have the same reasoning that his name adds up to 666. If you ask the Reformed Christians about the the end times they say there is no rapture and the great tribulation happened in 70 AD.
If you talk to Dispensationalists which seems to be the most popular movement at least on the radio they will agree with many of the things you guys are disscussing. If you talk to certain denominations they say you need to talk in toungs or be baptized or follow all of Jesus commandments to be saved.
All of these things are derived from superstitious men who only respond to sensational and divisive means of teaching.
Neither circumcision or baptism can save one hair of your head, God had the same thing in mind when he instituted both rituals, the circumcision of the heart and neither the Jews or Christians could be reconciled to a Holy God by these signs. They are simply a sign of the covenent not a means of grace. Grace is completly free and given at the mercy of God.
There is not one Jewish women who is saved then if circumcision was nessisary for salvation, Thats not the reason God commanded it. He wanted the Jews to know that he already chose them and they were to look on their circumcision as a sign of his promise.
The same goes for baptism, its a sign of your new birth for the christian to look upon and remember Gods promise to them. If you believe that a water Baptism is nessisary for your salvation then you are not trusting Christ for your salvation and you need to repent of your little faith, Baptism is something christians do to obey God because they are already his child, not to become his child.
When Jesus said you need to be born of water and the spirit he was just simply answering niccodemous on his question about how a man can crawl back into his mothers womb, Jesus was trying to help him understand that we must have a natural birth and a spiritual birth before we can enter heaven. Thats all he was saying, by interpreting that any other way you are contradicting many other scriptures. God is not the author of confussion, the simple literal meaning of the Bible is generaly the correct one. The Bible was not written for learned men and only special people who have an understanding of ancient languages. It was written for me and you and the illiterate and the uneducated and the young etc....
If your not resting on Jesus Christ as your only hope then you are not doing the will of God, and need to repent. Its funny to me how people claim you need to live the 10 commandments or you are not saved, No man can live the 10 commandments or never has, The Jews couldnt and we cannot. Othewise why was there so many sacrifices if they lived the commandments perfectly. God is forgiving, and when you repent and turn to his salvation then you are sinnless before him. The law was given to us as a school master to show us why we need to repent. There is no power in the law for salvation, its just a mirror. God only sees Christ when he looks at a christian there is no sin pressent in his eyes, because as christian we believe Jesus paid our debt past peressent and future, all sin and we recieve his ritheousness before God.
Do not be fooled by the wolves, who teach that you need to observe the sabbath day for salvation, all 7 days of the week are the sabbath day for a christian, which is the rest in Christ. Thats all it means to rest in Christ. The Jews looked forward to Christ by resting on the sabbath day, and as Christians we rest in Christ everyday.
Do not be fooled by wolves, who teach you have to be sinnless to have salvation, Christians choose not to sin because we love God and enjoy his free gift of salvation, not to earn his salvation. If you love Jesus then dont sin, but he still loved and saved you if you are a christian who believes him but cannot stop sinning. The mercy of God is far larger then the sin we commit, As christians we can only stop sinning with the power of the Holy spirit that dwells in each and every one of us and was given completely on the merit of Jesus Christs work.

Hi there this is a heated debate and i have nothing wrong with that. Firstly i will say that i am not a adventist by denomination but i do believe the 7th day of the week is the sabbath and i am waiting for the coming of Christ which is what their name means. The church that i attend is starting church on the Saturday(which is the sabbath) this week because we got information on the establishment of Sunday as a holy day which was the catholic churchs doing.
The information we got was from a series by a Proffesor Walter Veith, who is an adventist and was a catholic, called total onslaught. The series can be viewed on www.amazingdiscoveries.org. This is a comprehensive view of the book of revelation. It consists of 36 lectures that last for 1h 30min each. It's heavy but i am glad i have seen it. I would advise all to view it if you are interested in this subject.

Firstly the two previous comments i find just unconstructive to this debate. As a church we watch one lecture every week. You can't tell me that you in your own lives havn't wasted 1hr 30 min of your life doing something useless as opposed to doing something constructive. It is important to understand the times we live in so you are not ignorant to the plans of the devil. I was just putting accross what I have done as an individual and have added some information for people that are interested in this area.

Hi millsy.Its really heartwarming to hear your story.I watched those dvds too and it really changed my life.The sad thing is that the world is not interested in the truth.I didnt believe everything the dude said on the dvds,but after some research I found everything to be true.Its not a lifestyle that is popular or always easy. The bible also shows that usually it is not the millions upon millions of poeple that are right but usually the small groups,like Daniel and his friends or Noah and his family.Hang in there !!!

EVERYTHING that is bought and sold in the world today, is marked with 666: In barcode technology, two thin lines that are directly beside each other are equal to 6 - U'll find two at the front, two in the middle, & two at the end!!! If 666 is not seen on a barcode, its because it is not a commercial barcode!!! If U look at the barcode that corresponds to sales, U will see it!!! The mark is a name represented by a number 666, it can be "in" your forehead 'mind' in your right hand 'the work of your hands', you don't have actually have a mark engraved on you or implanted in you, but that may well end up the case, the work of the devil, God can see from reading your mind, from what is in your thoughts and what is the produce and work of your hands.
But making the sign of the cross with your hand is done in respect to the Cross of Calvary. I cannot see that the Roman Catholic Church have any identifying marks as anti-Christian, the Papacy may have been apostate or backsliders at various times but they are not anti-Christ.
