Do you really believe that when GOD SAID "If they speak not according to this Word it is because there is no light in them" (Isaiah 8:20)? Doesn't that mean that it has to be what GOD SAID and not a personal choice?

I Corinthians 14:34 says "keep SILENCE" to "confusion" down "in the Churches:" pertaining to "business matters" but NOT "SILENT" or to keep quite, because the PRECEDING VERSE says "GOD is not the author of confusion" (I Corinthians 14:33)!
The context of the church setting an women keeping silent is not pertaining to women who are Preaching. it is speaking to those who are not preaching. FYI men are to be quiet too, think you can interrupted a service while the Pastor is preaching. That is just stupid. It did not say foer the man to explain to the women during the service did it ? 1cor 14:34-36
34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. 35And if they will learn anything, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church. 36What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?

This is the context of Church, not to those who are preaching. The Word of God does not give specifics on how a women is to teach the younger but that they do teach them. The Holy Spirit will not be a part of foolishness . Why is it men only know 1cor 14 34-36 three verses about a women’s conduct in church but overlook the men’s?

How come these men did not read 1cor 11 ? Verse 2-5
Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.

“But every woman that prayeth or prophesied with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: “.
This is speaking in the church setting. What? Yes women are to pray in church yes women can under the Holy Spirit prophesied.

95 pages of you arguing, Babe. I gather you reject the very verses you swear are true?

Or, do you just think blaming everyone else for you arguing makes everyone suddenly agree with you and you look all pious and humble? (Clue: It's neither.)
Placing verses on the page exactly as they appear in the Bible is not me speaking at all. I did that numerous times, only to watch you people arguing with God. Those verses were His words, they were not mine and will never be mine. That is the basic thing you people fail to understand. A verse belongs to none of us. It is God's word and you and others proceeded to argue with that word profusely and still are doing it.

Personally, as someone who thinks women shouldn't teach men their own age or older, I've always figured the grown up thing to do is...
If you don't think women should teach, don't go to a teaching by a woman. If you think they should, then go for it.

This ain't rocket science, brain surgery, or even, (by now), debating scripture. It's personal choice. Learn to deal, if you haven't already.
That is the problem right there. You "figure" with your earthy mind and do not listen to what the scripture tells you. That proves you are following society and your own ideas and not following the true word of God. You should renew your mind in His word and stop relying upon your own judgment.

False teaching above. Here is exactly what the verses say.

1 Corinthians 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but [they are commanded] to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

1 Corinthians 14:35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

Extremely clear God has said for women not to speak within the church.

I continue to engage in spreading God's truth. It is those who fail to see the simplicity of His word that need to remove the log from their eye.

I know you have the passion to spread Gods truth but, you’re not perfect either in engaging by throwing judgmental insults along the way bro...both sides have done this in all honesty.

Just saying, if you are truly a man of what you believe, then you would say your peace and have faith in God to let the Holy Spirit speak to those who you have been engaging in. You feel me?

The problem isnt you providing scriptures, the problem is that you won’t allow the Holy Spirit to work through these people.

Ive said before that I believe that women should preach, but as far as leading a congregation, I believe that’s a mans ordained role.

Let Go and Let God.

Someday God is going to reveal the truth to you people of the true importance in following His word exactly and leaving your earthly views behind. For now, you do not know it.

You yourself are here continuing to post are you not ? I believe everyone is free to post on any thread they like for as long as they like. It is fine to debate from now to the end of time if one chooses. Where does the Bible say when precisely it is time to stop telling the truth ?
Whos truth that of man, woman or the Holy Spirit?

Do we need a man to teach us?

Because of the reformation were women can be part of the ceremonial laws previously not allowed That teaching is has to do with counselling with other men. The honor should not go to a stranger. The same applies to men they should council with their wives at home not strange women in a assembly. It's what they have deacons required to be married at church to handle those kind of matters. As far as spiritual matters we have Christ, the preacher, teacher.

Do we need a man to teach us?

His truth. God's truth.

You need someone to teach you because you will not listen to His word on your own. Someday you will find out that following your own mind was not nearly as good of an idea as you had thought.

your not providing the full context . you need to read 1cor chapter 11 to 14 then see the vast amount of instruction given to both men and women. without the chapters in 11 -14 you missed where women can pray and Propheised during the church setting . 1cor 11:5

But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with herhead uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

How can that be if they are to be silent? you have miss used the chapters to control women . men too were to be silent did you know that? .

1cor 14 :28

But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.

1cor 14:40

Let all things be done decently and in order.

In first Century Judea the idea that Men outside the immediate family could speak to a Woman let alone touch her for the propose of healing would be completely intolerable. There is a recent theory partly substantiated that the women connected with Jesus' his Disciples and the early Church as a whole had a very greater role in the ministry than previously believed. Even Paul who is portrayed as an arch anti Feminist mentioned having a ''wife'' with him and there is an Apocryphal legend that he had a female companion called Theccla who accompanied him on his ministry journeys.

There are lot's of theories my friend. It is the Word of God one is to live by, not empty theories. And to the previous poster. Go ahead and include the entire book of 1 Corinthians if you wish. It does absolutely nothing to discount the truth just provided to you in the verses 14:34-14:35.

Are women allowed to prophecies in church?

Does that count as speaking?

How is that different than preaching?

If it's an issue of authority, shouldn't we all answer to Christ Jesus who is our Head?

Are women allowed to teach and preach to children?

Do children of God count or is it only physical age?

if it's ok for a woman to teach/preach to children and teens, at what age must she stop? at what age does a boy become a man?

is it ok for a woman to sing a song? but not ok to lead worship?
