Can you give the time frame of that? Was it earlier in his walk or later?
either way, he was not perfected in this life

it's a life gig...

but why would you not know this since you are so busy saying how immature we are because we cannot follow your personal line of interpretation

this is an example of WOF right here

real faith to bring about things in manifestation?

real faith?

how about if we have faith like a grain of mustard seed...Jesus seemed to be able to respond to that

and He also seemed able to respond to the man who said he believed but also did not believe

Immediately the boy's father cried out and said, "I do believe; help my unbelief. Mark 9:24

Jesus simply said everything is possible for him who believes..notice He did not say come back when your faith is perfect in your spirit so that I can manifest what you want...that is nonsense IMO and sounds almost new ageish...certainly is not found ANYWHERE in scripture!

and how about Peter who lost faith to the point of denial? what about that?

Jesus went after him! He didn't wait until Peter got it together again and found his faith!

you know, what you folks are not seeing here, is that if it was all up to some kind of faith we are supposed to 'manifest'...then Jesus would have never risen from the dead because none of them believed He would!

do you get that? and when I say you, I mean anyone who goes about faith the way it is described in that very telling quote

all this talk about manifesting starts to remind me of the so called 'Manifest Sons of God'...

but maybe all that makes me sound bitter...or like a harpie or a shrew...or maybe I am making a circus out of this thread

It also may have some ingredient of that subtle statement by the serpent in the garden:
"For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

it's a very sly error but there it is...and it is very wrong

you can be just 1/8th off but the farther out you go from that point, the degree increases

as God by His Spirit builds precept upon precept, the devil starts out by testing to see what is accepted and will increase the dosage until the deception is larger than life

presto...

I'm not trying to pick on anyone.....it is what it is

but this sounds more like some kind of teaching to me...dunno

According to the scripture, YOU do not have the ability to ALWAYS ask for the right things.

We are fallen creatures, and we are incapable of ALWAYS asking for the right things.
Our own hearts are deceitful... meaning we can sometimes deceive ourselves.
Jeremiah 17:9 "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?"

And even when we DO ask for the right things... God may CHOOSE to withhold a good thing, because he has some higher purpose.

Jesus prayed to be loosed from the cruxifiction...if it be possible let this cup pass from me

then he denied Himself and bowed to the will of His Father

even Jesus did not get what He really wanted!!!

the heart is indeed a funny thing...the desires He wants to give us are the ones He puts in us

and we get those by denying self...die to self...

Paul was a special case. From the beginning of Paul's conversion it was said he would suffer.

Now there is a huge difference in suffering from persecution and just plain getting sick or a disease. We are to rejoice in persecution.

oh....

there are far more 'special' cases then you give God credit for

that is just such an...sorry...ignorant thing to say

take Angela for example...ask her about whether or not she has suffered physically

or ask Blue

as far as suffering from persecution, you may find out what that is...but your experience at work is child's play

go be a Christian in Iraq

Lol whatever. You people are a bunch of hypocrites. Time for me to depart this discussion before I say anything more that will get me booted from the forums.

and there we have the summation of someone who welcomes persecution

pot meet kettle

it's so silly it would be funny if it were not for being so sad

I won't mention the tagline

it's like...hello? would you like to be crucified upside down?

when does reality kick in?

it's all goo goo gah gah baby talk

it's all words...oh wait...this WOF really IS all words!

Syria as well, well the entire Middle East. The west is shrunk wrapped spiritually. I didn't mean to minimize that suffering, it's just too much to bear mentally.

and that's another thing actually...do these folks ever give a thought to anyone but people in the US?

I have found they mostly do not...we give to an organization that smuggles in Bibles to countries where Bibles are not allowed

you can bet your sweet bippy (don't know what that is haha) they are not manifesting anything other than safely in and safely out and trusting God to do so for them

I have been in more than one situation where there was real danger...you don't have time to manifest anything...it's a quick God help me and the rest is up to Him...so far He has always protected me...I've had a bit of an...er....interesting life and I did not ask for it

but I'm not bitter!!! LOL!

You two seem to be really proud of yourselves for your attacks on WoF. I mean you and Lauren. You are just basking in your Glory.

just how little are you inside?

hope you are not bitter or anything.......

you dish it out but when you are given a mirror...you cry like a baby

thought you welcomed persecution?

I'm not making fun...but you really ought to be able to better see yourself since you want to correct others so badly

See this is you thinking we are "basking" at your expense. That's not so brother. It's called fellowship and you're not excluded.
