So as an atheist, explain to me how there is a remote possiblity of a ghost imptegnating a woman, a snake and a donkey that can talk, dead people coming back to life etc. In the atheists 'logical' and 'intellectual' way of thinking... How can you concede there's the slightest chance of any of those happening?
Surely you know that possiblity does not mean plausibility just as correlation does not mean causation. Conceding one does not mean conceding the other.

is it possible for humans to conceive without a male counterpart? Why not? Animals, although in very rare and specify circumstances can do this. An example of this animal is a bee when facing extinction levels. Do I think its plausible? No. It's far more plausible for a Jewish mynx to tell a lie than for the laws of nature to have been suspended.

Same concept for the talking donkey, snake, etcetera. Te reason the story is not credible is because the story is not an original. The virgin birth, died for 3 days, and rose from the dead (and sometimes on a cross) is repeated over and over. Same with stories of talking animals and floods. It is far more plausible that these stories were purely astrological and relating to sun worship than anything literal in one book of hundreds.

You claim to be wise, yet your words prove otherwise....

You are not wise enough to take the metaphor of 'balls' into consideration, so due to your hate for the one who said it. You attack that sentence yourself in a tangent... Foolish

You are a child who lives in a cave, and an outsider tells you about the sun, the miracles it does, and the warmth it gives... But since you have never seen this you claim the man to be a lier... You do not take the logical way to solve this (For if you did you would be wise, but instead you cling to your foolishness)... The logical way would be to travel back where the traveler came from and see if his words are truth... But you sit in your darkness with others alike, and you say you are so wise... You proclaim you know so much about darkness and that anyone who challenges your words are fools...

The world pities you, they see you in your cave, your whole life hiding from the truth that is right before you... You are so scared, afraid, or maybe even mad at this sun that you will live your whole life in darkness. Instead of admitting you are a fool and coming to the light...

(This was a huge metaphor about God if you could not discern that)

Many people say that the intellectually inferior go and say that there is a God... I would agree with this statement for one reason, the intellectually inferior are already called moronic, illogical, and idiotic so what could it hurt them to find the sun... If they don't find it they are still idiotic, so they loose nothing. That is why all the illogical, the ones with no pride find the sun first...

The people like you are soo filled in your own pride that you refuse to admit there is a sun. Or even thoroughly search for it... You look for Henry Ford... but instead of reading books, or researching... You look at a single bolt from 2013 raptor and say" There is no Henry Ford, this bolt is too perfect, this bolt even out dates his name..."

I would love to talk to you on the premise that I just laid out, but I am afraid you will not see the metaphors in front of you and will attack the people of the caves, the sun, and Henry Ford. In order to prove a point that no matter what I say you can argue about it... I am also afraid that after reading that sentence I just wrote that you now will try to reverse the roles that I so clearly laid out, and you will say that I am in a cave and you have light... Look at the difference in the way we discern of the world, if you truly look at it you will see you are of a cave... Now I am semi confident that you will post according to the premise I laid out... (If you even read it, but I am pretty assured that you will look for a less lengthy post or a easier metaphor for you to debunk.)

Maybe it's time to go back to basics.

The foundation of the Christian faith is the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
This is either a historic fact or it isn't.
He's alive or He isn't.
If He is, it proves that all that's written about Him in the bible is true, which means He is the expected Messiah, the Lord, the expected Lamb of God that took away the sins of the world, the One coming to earth to show what the Father is really like.

As a Christian, I believe Jesus is alive, and this is also a reasonable conviction. This conviction is, as already said, based on a historic event (His resurrection and ascension) for which there is plenty of evidence.

Jesus has sent us to make disciples of all nations, to preach the Kingdom of God with power to the whole world. These signs and wonders are still following believers: the dead are raised, the sick are healed, demons are cast out, ...
Lives are transformed!!

If we encounter someone who is open to receive our message, we share it. If not, we move on. Our assigment is to bring the message. How people respond to it is not our responsibility anymore. Every person is free whether he/she accepts our message or not. And therefore he/she will also be held accountable for that choice.

Hey zonedout, you just showed how weak and incapable man is, how much will it take for the world to cry out to God for help instead of shaking their fists at him?

It amazes me when some people think about the starving children when it's convenient and use it to push an agenda, the rest of the time they never enter their minds, God knows I was guilty of that,

The difference between me and your god is that if I had the power to end
world hunger I would do it.

You believe God has the power to end world hunger?
I don't believe a god exists but according to the most common definition of
god by believers he is all powerful, all knowing, and omni benevolent.

Epicurus summed it up a long time ago.

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?

He summed it up by his own understanding, God humbly came down as a man so he could destroy the work of evil. It's up to us to accept this so He can work through us to do His good work on the earth, since evil exists in the heart of every man. If we were to truly receive what we deserve, we would cease to exist and be banished from His presence forever. God is patient, wanting every man to be saved but the time will come when His offer will expire. He will not deal with evil by His grace but with terrifying severity, those who chose to accept His before this will be spared and those who continued to defy Him will reap the consequences. This Epicurus did not understand...*phew* what a rant :p

Just out of curiosity, what is your definition of evil?

Wow, he only got 4 posts in before being banned, and I missed the whole thing. Is this some sort of new record?

our currently lost and bitter God-hating friend didn't seem to notice the 2 kids with birth defects (likely induced by fallen man's -made stuff) had other human beings who loved and clothed and cared for them.
fallen man aborts healthy babies, so what can be said about that?
the child suffering from leprosy may be one of the ones who did not receive a cure - a very simple cure today. if fallen men weren't so concerned with not getting help to those who suffer, perhaps she would get help. it may well be she had people who love and care for her anyway....someone was near enough to take her picture.
the starving kids in africa may be among those who did not need to starve, but due to fallen man's drive to destroy "the unfit" (eugenics); or due to fallen man's inhumanity to man through war. but some people starve anyways.
the dead bodies; the results of more of fallen man's inability to love his neighbour.

God is merciful, even still in His patience in the face of OUR unrighteousness.....but people mistake His patience with "evil".

BUT: to believe, as our now non-member does that with God there will not be JUSTICE.....well....i suppose our friend will find out that too, is error. and it will be personal.

Jude 1
....“Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his holy ones, to execute judgment on all and to convict all the ungodly of all their deeds of ungodliness that they have committed in such an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things that ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”

Welcome to the typical arguments of atheism.

Seriously though, I honestly believe the best argument for an atheist is for them to just say they don't believe and leave it at that.
