I was reading on this subject the other day.
It seems that it was the eunuch’s idea to be baptized with water and does not appear that Phillip was initiating it.

Acts 8:37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

And the record in Acts 10:45 etc, with Peter and the gentiles, where Peter baptized them with water after they were filled and spoke in tongues. Then in chapter 11 Peter recounts the words of Jesus.

Acts 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

Another record I saw in Acts 19, you get the same impression of downplaying water and uplifting the baptism of the spirit.

Acts 19:3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.

19:4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

19:5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
The baptism spoken of in verse 5 is water baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus. The group received the Holy Ghost afterward as seen in 19:6: "And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied."

You are missing the point

If you had read back some two or 3 posts you would see the purpose of the question.

Jesus supposedly instructed the apostles to baptize….. in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

Can you find anyplace where the apostles followed those instructions? ....That is what we were looking into…

Not to establish doubt….. to establish accuracy...... I don’t know what new age has to do with accuracy.
The apostles obeyed Jesus' command in Matthew 28:19, they did not repeat it. Jesus is the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. The apostles consistently water baptized people that way because they were not confused about who Jesus was.

I did not. I linked it, my confused friend.
I'm not confused at all. I see no marker indicating a link, and would have no reason to think there is one. What you quoted skipped some important and very relevant words.

Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed? And unto what were you baptized?

You have already made your own conclusions about me; I see no reason to confuse you with the truth.

Although foolish, I respect your decision to be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power. Of a truth, light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart. And wisdom is justified of all her children. But a fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.

May God have mercy upon thee and give thee repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; and that thou mayest recover thyself out of the snare of the devil, who art taken captive by him at his will. God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Dear brother, I respectfully ask you to read the perspective that I feel I have received from the Holy Spirit. I can tell from your posts that you are a Godly person and would appreciate your input.

Three things need to happen for salvation.
You need to be baptized (not water) in the name of the Father . Eph 3: 14-15 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of (by) whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,...When one is baptized in the name of the Father, he first acknowledges that he is a sinner, repents, and then turns to Him for forgiveness. Acts 11: 18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life. It is the Father who grants the repentance that is necessary to gain life. This repentance is not a gift that can be refused. Repentance is a state of being and once it is granted, you have it. Luke 13: 3 I tell you, Nay. But, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Repentance is necessary Luke 5: 31-32 And Jesus, answering, said unto them, They that are well need not a physician, but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. It is Christ and those in His spiritual body that call sinners to repentance by their teaching, but it is the Father who chooses because it is He who grants repentance. Eph 1: 3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ, According as He ( the Father) hath chosen us in Him ( the Son) before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him ( the Father) in love. It is the Father who has chosen us as belonging to the spiritual body of Christ and therefore, we are in Christ.
You need to be baptized (not water) in the name of the Son. You are baptized in the name of the Son when Jesus is preached to you and you believe and trust in the Father's plan for salvation through Jesus Christ. Acts 8: 12 But when they believed Phillip preaching the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. Notice that they were baptized (not water) "when they believed". 1 Cor 1: 21 For after that, in the wisdom of God, the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. People get saved when Jesus is preached to them as their Lord and Savior. Acts 19: 2-5 He (Paul) said unto them, have you received the Holy Spirit since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there is any Holy Spirit. And he said unto them, Unto what, then, were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people that they should believe on him who should come after him, that is on Christ Jesus. When they heard this, they were baptized ( not water) in the name of the Lord Jesus. When did they get baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus? Not when they got water baptized, but when they heard about Jesus and believed.
You need to be baptized (not water) in the name of the Holy Spirit. Eph 1: 4 According as He ( the Father) hath chosen us in Him ( the Son) before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him ( the Father) in love. We are holy when the Father chooses us. We are without blame when we put our trust in Jesus for the remission of sins. " In love" means that we have received the gift ( baptism) of the Holy Spirit who perfects us by filling our hearts with divine love so that all our thoughts and actions are motivated by love for God and man ( see 1 Cor 13: 1-13). It is then that we are obeying the Spirit of the Law (which we can achieve with the help of the Holy Spirit) and not focusing on obeying the Letter of the Law ( which we cannot achieve because if you break one law, you've broken them all).

Acts 2: 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Notice the three elements of salvation: Repentance, belief on Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit are Baptism in the Name of the Father, in the Name of the Son, and in the name of the Holy Spirit. These baptisms are produced by the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit and not by humans.

It is not "We" that do the accepting, but "They".

Once. You're baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. Afterwards if you sin, repentance is necessary, not re-baptism.

Biblically how many times should someone be baptized after being a believer?
To be saved?
None
If they are believing in their obedience to works of righteousness, like water baptism, then they are lost and going to hell.
However, if they repent (change their mind) and make Jesus the Object of their faith, then they will be saved FOREVER.
At that point they should do many works to obey God as a family member. The first work should be water baptism.
If they will not get baptized, the still received the Holy Spirit the minute they believed in Christ, calling upon Him for salvation. Nothing will change that.

Being "born of" something is not the same thing as being "immersed in" something.

Being 'born again' is 'spiritual'.

Being 'baptized' in water is 'physical'.

The two do not mix.

Related - yes. Same thing - no.

In 1 Corinthians 12:13, the word 'baptized' - meaning 'immersed' - is referring to our inclusion / insertion / integration into the body of Christ.

Even then, that itself is not 'born of' or 'born again' - it is a kind of aftermath / outcome / result of being born-again.

Being 'born again' is one thing only - receiving the Holy Spirit of God - being 'indwelt' by the Holy Spirit.

These 4 things are different:

1) indwelling of the HS
2) baptism by the HS
3) baptism of the HS
4) filled with the HS

#1 & #2 are very closely associated.

#2 is a direct result of #1 - but, is not [identically] the same thing.

What the verse is saying is that - by-and-because-of the Holy Spirit (indwelling us) - we are all made a part of the body of Christ.

In-of-itself, [this verse] has absolutely nothing [directly] to do with water baptism.
Being "born of" something is not the same thing as being "immersed in" something.

“Being 'born again' is 'spiritual'.

Being 'baptized' in water is 'physical'.”

“John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.

I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:4, 8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water

and of the Spirit,

he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“and said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭24:46-47‬ ‭

“Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, ( water )

and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Spirit )

Then they that gladly received his word ( spirit )

were baptized:( water )

and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:37-38, 41‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The gentiles

“While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. ( spirit )

And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

And Peter answered Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, ( water ) which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. ( water ) Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭10:44-45, 47-48‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When we don’t let scripture explain things we can explain anything away

baptism in water is for repentance remission of sins

Its an act of faith

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

He that believeth ( spirit )

and is baptized ( water ) shall be saved;

but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water ( for remission of sins )

and of the Spirit, ( receiving the Holy Ghost )

he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The spirit

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:63‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The water

“John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the blood

“for this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26:28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

they agree upon remission of sins in Christs name the water of remission , the word of remission and the blood of remission

“these three agree in one.”

When you hear about getting baptized for remission of sins , you don’t want to start reasoning it away instead you want to agree with it and act upon it because God said it and you believe

“The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭3:21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

when God says to do something and makes a resulting promise “ repent and get baptized for the remission of your sins “ the thing to do is believe what he said and act upon that belief

Baptism for remission of sins is a gift offered to anyone that believes tbw true gospel

a faith is t the reason we hear Gods word and reject it but it’s why we believe and act when we hear Jesus word

3 baptisms (not explained away), but Rightly Divided!:

Within God's Contexts:

(1) Prophecy/Law for ISRAEL:

►►► The Twelve Were Sent to {water} baptize! ◄◄◄

The TWO Main (of 12) baptismS =

A) water, For remission of sins/induction into Israeli "priesthood!":
(Matthew_3:5-6; Mark_1:4; Luke_3:3; John_1:31; Luke 7:29-30; Acts_10:37)
(Matthew_28:19; Mark_16:16; Acts_2:38, 22:16; Ezekiel_36:25)
+
B) WITH The Holy Spirit, Poured Out By CHRIST, for
power, signs And wonders!
(Isaiah_44:3; Matthew_3:11; Mark_1:8, 16:17-18;
Luke_24:49; Acts_2:17-18, 38, 8:15-17, 11:16)
Prophecy/Law

Rightly Divided (2 Timothy 2:15) From “Things That DIFFER!” {online}:

(2) Mystery/GRACE! =

our "apostle to the Gentiles" for The Body Of CHRIST:

►►► Paul Was Not Sent to {water} baptize! Why Not?: ◄◄◄

Today: Only ONE Baptism = "BY" The ONE Spirit = God's OPERATION,
Spiritually
Identifying members In (The ONE Body Of) CHRIST!!
(Ephesians_4:5; Colossians_2:12; Galatians_3:27;
Romans_6:3-4; ►►► 1 Corinthians 12:13 KJB! ◄◄◄)
-----------------------------------------------------
Then, within His Context Of Grace/Mystery, we find the
"Washing Of Regeneration" Today, is not by water, But By
The Holy Spirit, As Confirmed By "What Saith The Scripture?":

a) not physical water, as that would be a "work of righteousness
that we ['man's operation' would] do," and Scripture Declares:

"not by works of righteousness which we have done"

b) Along With "Circumcision [without hands] of the heart"
(Colossians 2:11), Sanctification, and Justification
(God's Spiritual OPERATION), we have:

“And such were some of you: but ye Are Washed, but ye Are
Sanctified, but ye Are Justified In The Name Of The Lord
Jesus, And By The Spirit Of our God.” (1 Corinthians 6:11)

--------
Conclusion:

1) No interpretation is necessary When Scripture is Rightly
Divided, and kept in God's Context, as demonstrated above.

2) The ONE (Spiritual) Baptism Into The One Body, By The One Spirit
Definitely Vanquishes all of man's Confusion of water, Correct?

Do you ever wonder why nothing your saying is ever explained in the Bible by the apostles or Jesus? But everything you “ rightly divide “ totally disagrees with everything they taught ?

“ three baptisms rightly divided “ appears nowhere in scripture but

“There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all,

who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:4-6‬ ‭

“John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬a

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins( water )

and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. ( spirit )

For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.(who it’s for )

Then they that gladly received his word

were baptized:

and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:38-39, 41‬ ‭KJV‬‬

( the ones who heard his word and said “ no no baptism isnt needed or relevant “ I’m guessing they probably didn’t get baptized but instead tried to tell people “it’s not really true let me explain why “

baptism is for repentance and remission of sins hasn’t changed was never replaced. It will always be the same

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

There’s one act of baptism for remission of sins it’s established in the. E finning if the gospel by the baptizer filled with the Holy Ghost and sent of God to do what he did estabkisjing baptism for remission of sins

What I’m th e world is behind trying to always explain to people why you don’t really need to do what God said to do ?

That’s so bizarre to me it’s like “ make sure you don’t do anything Jesus said to do and then You’ll be saved by grace “

those disciples of “ jp” books are badly confused and it makes it so hard because they believe they have some magical ability and authority to remove what God said from salvation and label it grace

Lol even somethkng as simple as “repent and be baptized for remission of sins in his name “

becomes an un necassary work it seems like anything Jesus taught people to do becomes an argument with the grace illusion delusion “ if Jesus said to do something , it’s not for you “

Oh wait that’s Paul Ellis who wrote that one lol that hypergracer eraser is “ bad things man , baaaad things “
