Actually it refers to those who wish to live lawfully under grace. It would be blasphemy to live lawlessly under grace.

This is not being legalistic, however it is demonstrating gratitude to the Lamb of Yahweh for what He did for us all.

You want to throw away the teachings of the schoolomaster, then all who hold degrees should tear them up and never rely on their criteria for finding employment.

It is imperative for any who believe Yeshua to keep in mind the teachings of the law and of the Master, for He taught all the aforementioned.
Those who attempt to stop others under grace from being obedient are indeed the new-age law and lawyers. Do what Yeshua teaches.......directly and through Paul

The law of God is good and whoever goes against Gods law is an enemy of God. Hint: Paul is for Gods law. Not mans.

Still have some more questions to try to understand fully what SDA doctrine is trying to say.

You say that Christians should "receive by Faith the righteousness of Christ" and you indicate that this manifests as (for example) "no longer steals or commits adultery stops sin". If I understand you correctly, you are referring to "imparted" righteousness. And this "imparted" righteousness (perfect obedience to the law) is proof that one is righteous and saved.
Is this correct?

I've known many Adventists over the years and none of them are perfect in obeying the law. This would prove that they do not have "imparted" righteousness, or to use your words, they did not "receive by Faith the righteousness of Christ".
How do Adventists deal with this issue amongst their members

To use another example, this time non-Adventists, most of us here do not keep the Saturday Sabbath, nor dietary laws. This Christian majority never keep the Sabbath holy, even up till the day they die. Are you saying that we here are not "freed in Christ" and in missing the mark we have thus not "received by Faith the righteousness of Christ"?
To your first paragraph you are sort of correct almost. Obedience to what one knows to be true is evidence that Christ is working in them by faith. For example.

Lets say a person lies and steals, and that person is convicted by the word that stealing is wrong and confesses and in Faith accepts Jesus as his substitute and though the power of the Spirit stops stealing. Yet they are still telling lies. yet they do not realize that lies are sin also. That person is righteous because of Christ righteousness and they are manifesting righteousness in the area they are aware of. They are living up to the faith they have in Christ and the knowledge of Christ will in their life at that time.

As to your second paragraph,

Adventists are guiltier than other Christians because they do not live what they preach and thus bring reproach upon the truth they have. The problem here is that Adventists teach that the law can be kept which means they know the truth on this and thus are without excuse. So Yes you are correct many Adventists have not received righteousness by faith. Ellen White said in here day that not 1 in 20 Adventists would be saved in their current condition. The picture Ellen White gives of Adventists in the end is that few will be saved but many from other faiths and the world will be saved. why because Adventist do not live what they preach. Many adventists have made the same mistake that Israel made and try to keep the law to be saved. Others say to keep the commandments and then don't actually believe its possible. but there are some who understand the truth and are living examples of the truth.

As to your 3rd paragraph,

This goes back to my first response to paragraph 1. We are judged on the light we have. Most are not convinced that the Sabbath needs to be kept. they are however having victory in all the areas that they are convinced on thus they are living up to the light they have by faith and have indeed received the righteousness of Christ or else they would not have had victory in those areas of their lives. While there is more freedom in Christ to be had they are in Christ as long as they live to the light they have. and are studying to know the will of God in their lives.

hope that helps a bit. It will soon be obvious that the Sabbath is important, the signs are fast fulfilling. You will remember those talks about the Sabbath when things begin and then you will understand why we kept talking about it here. We say it so that when it comes to pass you will know what to do. Many who have resisted the Sabbath here will understand when the time comes. I believe there are many genuine Christians here who do not keep the Sabbath, but they will when it becomes obvious.

Blessings.

Mercy is of God alone. The Holy Spirit of God leads to all truth and understanding in Love and Love isn't against the law of God. It presents humans without excuse. Example: the repentant man versus the proud man.

Actually it refers to those who wish to live lawfully under grace. It would be blasphemy to live lawlessly under grace.
Whatever the law says it says to those under it, Rom 3:19

Therefore its the legalists under the law who are the lawless/workers of iniquity, as they fail to keep the law perfectly.

Gal 2:18
For if I build again the things which I destroyed (righteousness by works of the law), I make myself a transgressor/ Sinner.

Hence we see it's the legalists who fit the label of sinners/workers of iniquity.

So Romans 3:19 is speaking of those breaking the law(under the law), got it.

I yearn for the moment when truth is revealed.

Ten commands 613 laws , Question did all 613 laws come from man ?

exodus 18
Moses answered, “I must do this because the people come to me to learn God's will.16 When two people have a dispute, they come to me, and I decide which one of them is right, and I tell them God's commands and laws.”

Here we see commands and laws and plus moses was in direct communion with God in the tent at this time.
So if your one of those who suggests that all 613 laws came from man then that suggests that moses never talked to God in the the tent about any of the disputes that where taking place. it suggests that moses took the law in to his own hands.
I have a problem with this as the way i see it someone holy would not take the law into his own hands,, yes and moses is holy look

Matthew 17

The Transfiguration

17 Six days later Jesus took with him Peter and the brothers James and John and led them up a high mountain where they were alone. 2 As they looked on, a change came over Jesus: his face was shining like the sun, and his clothes were dazzling white.3 Then the three disciples saw Moses and Elijah talking with Jesus. 4 So Peter spoke up and said to Jesus, “Lord, how good it is that we are here! If you wish, I will make three tents here, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

So this moses standing with Jesus , which means moses is holy. now the man of lawlessness sits in gods tabernacle proclaiming to be God,,,,, God has no part with them, but here we see a man of law from the old t standing with Jesus.

Love God, love thy neighbor, that is the entire ten. It is the command of Christ. Hate me for saying it, o'well. God said it first. Love thy neighbor as thyself and Love God is all the Ten Commandments.

Thanks for confirming what I understood of SDA doctrine.

We will of course disagree as I found from our discussions that SDA doctrine is not supported in scripture.

Like I said before, you see scripture purely from the perspective of works of the law and thus miss the truth.

God gives many warnings against turning back to the law for righteousness. Just as you see the Sabbath being an issue that will soon become apparent as a sign of the end coming, I understand that its the preaching of works of the law (spiritual fornication with Hagar, Gal 4:24) that is becoming more apparent as a sign the end is coming.

To the legalists God says repent.
We see this warning to the lukewarm church, mixing works of the law with grace Rev 3.
We see this also with those who tolerate those with legalistic teaching (the stumbling block, Rev 2:14).
And we see it with those who tolerate Jezebel who beguiles God's servants to commit spiritual sexual immorality with Hagar (righteousness by works of the law, Gal 4:24).
These are all warnings to the churches who allow legalistic doctrine.

Hopefully legalists will heed God's warnings.

God is a Spirit, I doubt any believer in God doubts that. We can all be friends in the grace of God.

Hazmat, if you are against the law of God, you are against God.
It seems you have not been following this thread from the start.

Nobody here is against the law.
We all agree that the law is holy, just and good, Rom 7:12.

Our disagreement is with legalistic teaching that preaches righteousness by works of the law.
Sadly you seem to present yourself as a legalist who denies God through works of the law, Tit 1:16.

Gal 5:4
Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

You would do well to repent of your dead works of self-righteousness and believe on Jesus instead.

Ok, that is great.

Who teaches that being a Pharisee against Christ is kosher?

Better yet, who betrayed you into thinking it is ok to go to law against one another?

Your not making yourself clear here. I suggest explaining yourself in more detail.

My understanding from what you have said so far is that you are a legalist under the law and go to law against others, judging their righteousness by works of the law.

That is to be expected since your condemning Gods law.

Thanx for your time anyhow haz.

I think the difference is you see Christ vs law.

I see Christ in the law. The two are not two but one.

That was Israels problem they took the law without Christ.

You are trying to take Christ without the law.

but Christ and the law are one. you take one away and the result is the same you dismiss Christ.

The Jews took the law without Christ thus denying Christ.

You have made the opposite error, you take Christ without the law thus denying Christ.

We take Christ in the law.

Just as the Jews denied Christ when on earth so are those who speak against the law, they just as surely deny Christ as did Israel.
