I have heard and witnessed believers making the most outrageously sounding declarations which do not appear in the Word, yet upon minimal study, they have been spot on in their own words.

No one is authorized to limit a person due to his or her vocabulary or manner of expressing himself if it coincides with understanding from the Word.

There is power in the Blood of the Lamb. There are demons and demonic notions straight out of hell, although I do not use the term.

When what is being stated is understood from a brother, it cannot be invalidated because the exact words do not appear in the Word. That would be tyranny.

I realize the OP is Biblical myths, however the subject should not be a tool to an end of stifling the family in Yeshua, Jesus.

"Pleading the blood" is a common Scripture misconception.

And the phrase: "that is a lie straight from the pit of Hell." Is another common misconception of Scripture. If you read the account of the rich man and Lazarus. And also as the rich man in Hell is communicating with Abraham, there is not one time where the rich man ever lies. Everything that rich man said was true.

Hence, a biblically correct statement would be: "that is a lie straight from the devil(Satan) himself."

Yes, I agree about the "rib."
In the light of present medical knowledge, the choice of a rib seems most appropriate. A rib that has been removed will grow again, replacing itself, as long as the periosteum (the membrane of connective tissue that covers the bone) is allowed to remain. Whether Jehovah God followed this procedure or not the record does not state; however, as man’s Creator, God was certainly aware of this unusual quality of the rib bones.

The following is from the Contemporary English Version of the Word. Lev 11:20
The only winged insects you may eat are locusts, grasshoppers, and crickets. All other winged insects that crawl are too disgusting for you to eat.

As far as my study has shown, all other versions repeat the content above.

As for John eating locust, this was permitted according to the clean laws given for food consumption, however there is a very strong argument that John actually ate the pods of the algorrobo, a tree growing in many of the Meditarranean countries. I have eaten part of one, and it was not bad.

These pods are used for such diverse reasons as animal feed and chocolate substitute.
John could well have eaten either one of these. It is not far fetched at all.

Matthew 3:4 Now John himself was clothed in camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist; and his food was locusts and wild honey.

There has been a longstanding confusion in the etymological origin of the word locust. Locust is both a bean from the carob plant and an insect. The greek word for cakes or bread made from the flour of the carob bean is 'egkrides' and the Greek word for locust the insect is 'akrides'.
Why did john the baptist eat locusts and wild hone

But it is okay to eat locust; at least it is better to eat that then scorpions.

Cabbage has been genetically altered using scorpion DNA to create scorpion venom so that they don't need insecticides.

The carob is the algorrobo tree. It is not the bean that is eaten, it is the pod. The beans will break your teeth. Perhaps they may be processed by machine this day, but they are not edible directly from the tree. The pods which contain the beans are chewable.

rib should have been translated "halfed" in my opinion according to the Hebrew.
Meaning woman is half of man(adam)....not wanting to write a page to show it but the homeworks there to do.
meaning adam was opened and half of him was removed to make Eve.
heard a theory that says it was not a rib that was taken from Adam but a "womb"...hence womb + man = woman:confused:

tsela: rib, side
Original Word: צְלָעֹת

beam, board, chamber, corner, leaf, plank, rib, side chamber

Or (feminine) tsaltah {tsal-aw'}; from tsala'; a rib (as curved), literally (of the body) or figuratively (of a door, i.e. Leaf); hence, a side, literally (of a person) or figuratively (of an object or the sky, i.e. Quarter); architecturally, a (especially floor or ceiling) timber or plank (single or collective, i.e. A flooring) -- beam, board, chamber, corner, leaf, plank, rib, side (chamber).

it's a stretch, i know....but:

DNA curve

architecturally, a (especially floor or ceiling) timber or plank (single or collective, i.e. A flooring) - foundational?

who knows.
rib works for me.

“If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.
