True. But it manifests in the mouth.

That's why it's important to post videos of those at best mocking the Lord, and worst, blaspheming Him.

well it's important for those who really have nothing to say that is helpful or contributes in a positive way

just a reminder to try and stay awake tomorrow if you go to church

Best not to entertain yourself too late into the night with your yourtube documentaries

Maybe.

Falsehoods are abundant and definitely need to be exposed and rooted out. But a danger lays in those who latch onto those things and preach them as proof that ALL manifestations are false. There needs to be a balance to show a discernable line between the fake and the true. But that's difficult, because I just can't imagine the Holy Spirit having any interest in being on you tube. The miracles I see, the gifts I receive come in private intimate settings between me and God. And no, I'm not going to video that for others.

So the question is, how do you exposed the false without catching up the truth within?

pretty sure answer is not a youtube video

any 4 year old can post one of those

it would take actual concern and the realization that satan has some people fooled into slumber in church and others into emotional backlash from having been put to sleep in churches where the Holy Spirit has been on vacation since the last chapter in Acts

IMO, when a person inserts one of these videos as their response, they probably have a children's Bible...the one with big pictures and writing to hold a child's interest

people are not taught or taught wrongly

and we all know what trouble it is to study for yourself

that is why we have the visual aids and copy/pastes and opinions telling those who are not anti gifts, that we are wrong because they say so

insert visual aid at this point:

try not to be offended and just love because all knowledge has passed away and we are now perfect

I did not know Church was a place to get entertained. I thought it was a place to receive instruction, Fellowship and pray, oh, And take an offering for Gods service.

If church is just for entertainment, I can find entertainment anywhere. (Sadly I think today far to many churches make church an place to be entertained, because they care about numbers more than they care about souls. And th emore entertainment, the more people. The more people. The more money etc etc.

It sad that people want to take what God gave us, and turn it into a circus.

oh look at this. now don't miss the love at the 1.22 minute mark

oh yes those Baptists sure do have the love and instruction goin on

don't fall asleep either. or think he will marry anyone. yes, you can just feel the love dude pastor

would not want any of the anti crowd to miss out on these excellent teaching moments

I have pretty good hearing, but does this Baptist pastor actually say a church member will have nice little wormians for children
at the 2:38 mark? that is if they do not turn on her first for not following this loving Pastor's sermons

the fruit of the Spirit is the life of Christ in you

you do not grow this fruit picking scripture apart and trampling it underfoot and stating well this one or that one did it wrong

strangely, along with the fruit comes emotions... like joy...kind of like the sap that runs in the tree giving life to the fruit

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”(Galatians 5:22-23)

so there is no law against the indwelling Spirit of God. so don't let others who have not grown this fruit or don't understand it, tell you there are no emotions or you cannot exhibit joy. don't be like David's wife and scorn what another does to worship and praise God

this kundalini accusation with regards to anyone who exhibits more than a consenting nod to scripture is meant to put fear and discouragement in the hearts of those who want more of God

oh yes. there is plenty more.

like anything else. there are people doing it wrong on both sides

I don't believe the point of actual discussion should be proving yourself right and everyone else wrong

I suspect that does take some maturity to actually refrain from antagonizing others with false accusation, one liners and mockery because they have a different experience than you do

the oneupmanship evidenced by some shows little to no regard for what is actually written in scripture and is true

not going to bother with any nasty comments or telling me I described myself...because really I didn't. if the response is anger and boy I'm going to you off good now, then you illustrate what I posted even if only within your own heart

there should be no part of anger here. the video I posted was meant to show the other side, how easy to mock others...right?

don't complain about it if you post videos that you think are proof all charasmatics or pentecostals are demonic or out of it or you think this is how we all behave

I am sure many of you antis would be quick to state your church is not like that

well good then

my church is not a residence for the kundalini spirit and neither am I. I also remain in control, even when displaying joy

Matthew 15:10-21
King James Version

10 And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:

11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.

12 Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?

13 But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.

14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

15 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable.

16 And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?

17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?

18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.

19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

21 Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.

+++
12 Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?
+++
I'm thinking that the Pharisees who were the authority figures for law keeping which by the way was about purifying the flesh/outward man, were offended by JESUS saying this as If they didn't wash their hands but GOD IS a SPIRIT and those who worship HIM must worship In Spirit and truth.

+++

A person can blasphemy by saying things against GOD but It will be forgiven If It's not their sincere feelings but when a person blasphemes the HOLY GHOST then they could only have did this If at the HEART they really mean what they say.

In my opinion the pharisees must have gotten to the point that they really really felt that keeping the law In word only outwardly was acceptable to GOD even If what they did did not match how they felt Inside.

pretty simple really

Jesus said it was attributing the acts of the Spirit of God to the devil

goes on in this forum on a regular basis

it's shameful
Very bold condemnation of believers here on the forums. By which measure you judge others you yourself will be judged according to the word.

ironic

since you are one of the people who state that if someone speaks in tongues, they do so by a demonic spirit

so remove the forest from your own little acre

most people skirt around the issue, but several come right out and state what you state

no judging. just reporting on my part. ice must be thin in your part of the world

Pretty much synonymous. Isn't blasphemy done by the tongue?
It has yet to be established that modern day "ecstatic speech" is a work of the Holy Spirit, therefore how can it be blasphemy?

It is a completely subjective experience.

The works Jesus did were not subjective they were objectively true, therefore the question of this thread has no merit and no basis.

Blasphemy's CONCEPTION is indeed in the heart, but it's birth takes place in the mouth or tongue, or actions. So the question remains.
Are some of the babbling, NON-LANGUAGE tongue speakers, slain in the spirit, riotous laughing, rolling on the floor, exaggerated tic and head shaking, people faking, NONE of which is found in Scripture, mocking the Lord, or blaspheming the Holy Spirit?

Most probably aren't blaspheming the Holy spirit, or even knowingly mocking the Lord. Just desperate to have some type of what THEY think is a real EXPERIENCE to ease their lack of faith that the sufficiency of the inspired, Living Word is enough.

When the EXPERIENCE, which I absolutely believe DOES happen, is the goal, instead of seeking the Lord, AND HIS WILL, through His Word with prayer, and letting HIM provide the assurance of His Presence, then by necessity it has to be MANufactured. And I think that's what goes on in these places.

Almost like when Abraham's faith wavered, and HE tried to help God's plan along by taking Hagar with the intent of fulfilling God's promises, similarly, many of the Charismatics do not have the patience, or faith to wait on the Lord.

Hard truths they don't like, but maybe some will consider.

You're real good at pointing out fakes.

How are you at recognizing legitimate manifestations?

I am? Thanks! I would say we ALL need to have greater discernment. But thanks for saying I do.

As for your question:
1 John 4:
1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

1 Corinthians 14:
33 For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.

1 Thessalonians 5:
20 Do not treat prophecies with contempt
21 but test them all; hold on to what is good,
22 reject every kind of evil.

1 Timothy 4:
1 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.

Hebrews 5:
14 But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.

Matthew 24:
24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

Acts 17:
11Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.

There's many more. The important thing is to ground yourself in the Word and not in some EXPERIENCE.

I have said many times that I believe it to be done by the power of mans spirit and not the Spirit of God. You attribute it to the devil not me.

What happened in Acts was of the Holy Spirit but what happens in the Pentecostal and charismatic church today is by the will of man and not of the Holy Spirit. It is evident that the behavior is not biblical but driven by man's need for evidence that can only be received by grace.

I'd be very careful because there might be 1 or 2 that are legitimate amongst the group. I don't believe the Holy Spirit is gone. We can't limit or judge it's abilities or presence by sight or sound alone either.

I asked because you're all in showing fakes, yet have never given an example of the real thing. But occasionally you do allude to there being a real thing. It's one thing to quote scripture - now show how it applies in real life.

And if the Bible says "do this and you'll receive that", then you do this and receive that, is that not a valid experience?
