Thank you for your response. We must remember the things you speak of are the fruit of the Spirit, not our fruit. These things are evidence of His presence in our lives. (Gal. 5) Warm feelings or goosebumps are not the fruit of the Spirit.
Yeah, I agree 100% feelings are not Him. But the fruit can and is experienced in a physical. I am so intrigued with this topic. I think to minimize His Holiness as a warm fuzzy feeling is so off base, but I also "feel" He is in everything good, including "healthy" God centered emotions. Hmmmmm again, I suppose that it is hard for me to disassociate "feelings" from peace and joy. Helppppp!! Jk, I won't keep taking your time but this topic is a good one, Bro.

Emotions are God given and are good in the proper context. They however should not be a gauge of His love or presence. People become warm and fuzzy and excited over many things that are 'good' but that doesnt mean God is in it. A chocolate bar can be good and give me fuzzy feelings but God is not 'in' that chocolate bar. :) I can give thanks for that candy alright and I might even want to hug it but that is not worship.
The question really is do we worship Him when we dont get the fuzzies? Will we worship Him though He slay us?

anyway, the op has signed off it seems or perhaps also become bored with the non actual responses

y'all enjoy it.
Actually I've been on the road for several days. Didn't mean to drop off the radar but I hate doing this on my phone.

Lots of good thoughts, lots of bad ones, but let me respond to this as I have only a little time right now to catch up:

I have been around the world a couple times, to places as remote as Bikini Atoll and Chuuk Lagoon, and I have NEVER been anywhere I couldn't get a hug!

Let's take a break in the disagreement over tongues just for today, so both sides can use theirs to praise our Beloved Savior for dying for us:

Mark 3:
20Then Jesus went home, and once again a crowd gathered, so that He and His disciples could not even eat. 21When His family heard about this, they went out to take custody of Him, saying, “He is out of His mind.”
22And the scribes who had come down from Jerusalem were saying, “He is possessed by Beelzebul,” and, “By the prince of the demons He drives out demons.”
23So Jesus called them together and began to speak to them in parables: “How can Satan drive out Satan? 24If a kingdom is divided against itself, it cannot stand. 25If a house is divided against itself, it cannot stand. 26And if Satan is divided and rises against himself, he cannot stand; his end has come. 27Indeed, no one can enter a strong man’s house to steal his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man. Then he can plunder his house.
28Truly I tell you, the sons of men will be forgiven all sins and blasphemies, as many as they utter. 29But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of eternal sin.”
30Jesus made this statement because they were saying, “He has an unclean spirit.”

Matthew 12:
22Then a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute was brought to Jesus, and He healed the man so that he could speak and see. 23The crowds were astounded and asked, “Could this be the Son of David?”
24But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, “Only by Beelzebul, the prince of the demons, does this man drive out demons.”
25Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. 26If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand?
27And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. 28But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
29How can anyone enter a strong man’s house and steal his possessions, unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can plunder his house.
30He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters.
31Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. 32Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the one to come.

Joe cessationist:

"The gifts have ceased and ALL exercise of them is demonic"
The Lord Jesus healed the demon-possessed man who is blind and mute. What Jesus did was in obedience to the will of God and His commands but they said that He was driving out demons by belzeebul.

What do we call them who call those who are preaching obedience to God as false teachers, deceivers, peddlers of a false gospel, when in fact it is a command of Jesus known as the great commission? Is it not blasphemy to the Holy Spirit to insult and mock the members of the body of Christ who are doing the things of God, His will and commandments and His works of salvation(work of the gospel)?

Is it blasphemy to misrepresent the views and actions of those who are led by the Holy Spirit(sons of God)? What's the consequence of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit?

NIV1984 Matthew 25:40-41,45-46
“The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’ “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. “He will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

What really is blasphemy to the Holy Spirit? Just curious.

God bless.

Pretty much synonymous. Isn't blasphemy done by the tongue?

forms in the mind first...unless someone has a tongue they can't control

in that case, I guess it just slides off

and the thread was not about tongues or you tube videos. maybe one day we can find a video of a bunch of non tongues believers sleeping in church with there eyes glazed over

Jesus said it was attributing the acts of the Spirit of God to the devil

Actually, I think it originates in the heart
True. But it manifests in the mouth.

That's why it's important to post videos of those at best mocking the Lord, and worst, blaspheming Him.

Maybe.

Falsehoods are abundant and definitely need to be exposed and rooted out. But a danger lays in those who latch onto those things and preach them as proof that ALL manifestations are false. There needs to be a balance to show a discernable line between the fake and the true. But that's difficult, because I just can't imagine the Holy Spirit having any interest in being on you tube. The miracles I see, the gifts I receive come in private intimate settings between me and God. And no, I'm not going to video that for others.

So the question is, how do you exposed the false without catching up the truth within?
