In the same way that we come to know Jesus at some point in our lives, through time spent before the Blessed Sacrament of the Eucharist, I have come to know that Jesus is truely and definitely present there, as have many many people. You should try and see. I don't think you should say "it ISN'T", as you may come to regret that at some point. But I respect your beliefs. God bless.
Also, maybe you think I place all my trust in receiving Communion, hoping it will save my soul: I don't! I try to follow Jesus, through his words and actions, and I try my best not to sin. Communion is my spiritual food.

Prayer and the Bible are my spiritual food. I pray daily for God to give me my bread and thank Him for it and ask that He lead and keep me from temptation and deliver me from evil and help me forgive others as He has forgiven me.
I don't take communion every day, but I feel a lack in my life if I have not heard one hymn or one scripture verse between sunrise and sunset. His Holy Spirit is my Light and His blood washes me clean. His Holy Word is the water that I drink and it is my spiritual food. I find nourishment from the Bread of His body: His holy Church and the love of His disciples for one another.
Actually I was hoping you would tell me you place your trust in JESUS and HIS saving atoning work on the cross and count all your own efforts as filthy rags. that you do not follow Jesus because you place your hope in your actions but because you have fAITH IN Jesus that you are saved.
