Whoa!!!!!! We have drifted waaaaay off course!

Let’s go back to what unites us as SAVED BELIEVERS in Yeshua/Jesus....

1. The Blood of Yeshua/Jesus takes away ALL our sins;

2. The Body of Yeshua/Jesus is the human fulfillment of the Law of Moses - meaning “The Lord our Righteousness”;

3. Now, by receiving the Blood and Body of Yeshua/Jesus we are saved;

4. Yeshua/Jesus “breathes” on us and seals us with the Holy Spirit just as He did His disciples in John 20:22:

And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost.

5. Then, Yeshua/Jesus baptizes us in The Holy Spirit empowering us with His love, authority and power to be His witnesses on the Earth...

(Note: It is a separate encounter with The Holy Spirit because why would Yeshua/Jesus breathe on His disciples and say “receive the Holy Spirit” and later tell them “you shall receive power after the Holy Spirit comes upon you to be my witnesses.”;

6. We are forever changed......

Please don’t let the enemy’s lies hold you back from the baptism of the Holy Spirit.......

Without it, you have no power.....just words....... empty words.....

That’s actually a very good answer. God Himself wrote the 10 commandments. I can see too why you answered this way. But C is the Son who manifested to the nation of the Jews which is seen as different manifestations than the begotten Son with Mary.

So when the Word of the Lord came through the prophets to the Kings of the time, how did they (the prophets) receive it that it could be recorded?

My first post wasn’t clear. I apologize for that. I hope this is clearer. I could just say how, but am hoping Garee sees this.
I am Just learning what the word Memra is. And how it is used .Can't be to careful . One word not defined according to the interpretation of the scriptures can cause confusion. Many groups looking for new recruits.

Memra. . . "God Breathed"

Memra . . . Not unknow by scripture alone as some secret understanding. If that is what you mean .

Prophets of God receive the hearing of faith as the faith of Christ works in them to both to will and do His good pleasure . If any man has not the "Spirit of Christ" then neither do they belong to him.

Memra used by some groups ...If you are saying we can add its understanding to the word of God. That destroys the standard .".all thing written in the law and the prophets" (sola scriptura) The Bible is still the last chapter of the book of prophecy. the Bible..

Its how we can try the spirts to see if they are of men or of God our father.

Understanding God has nothing to do with the flesh not gentile flesh or Hebrew flesh.

Again how the prophets receive it that it could be recorded as you mentioned is. . . . as it is written .It represent the faith of Christ that works in our earthen bodies of death not seen. Its that it that makes the devil flee Strike three in Mathew 4 .

2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

True, without the Holy Spirit, the messenger has no power..... just empty words.
That is not what I said......and your premise is placing the power on the messenger and not the message......

Paul stated clearly...the power is in the message..not the messenger

so I simply refer to scripture to prove that the baptism of the Holy Spirit occurs after salvation and is not a part of salvation

no one responds to that because that would mean they acknowledge it. even saying they do not agree would be absurd in light of what is actually written

so instead, we have the peanut gallery hooting and jeering as they usually do and slapping each other on the back and making fun and having a good ole time

I would say we have had the final reveal and all the masks are off

congratulations boys.

the blindness is going to get worse

True, without the Holy Spirit, the messenger has no power..... just empty words.

in keeping with the words of Jesus Himself

the baptism of the Holy Spirit is the fire John the Baptist foretold and which was fulfilled on the day of Pentecost and has continued on and which will continue on until there is no more need

that will be when that which is perfect is come

it is not the Bible. the Bible is a written word. we have the Spirit of the Living God in us and His word is alive

otherwise, as you say no power

God will not fulfill the words of any individual who speaks out of turn and says they speak for Him and yet He has not called them

I personally will state I have never desired nor searched for power. this is not about human power or desire

this is about the will of God and His desire to give good gifts to His children. for His body, those who are His and have desired Him

You have to go back much further than that sir, if you want to look at modern Movements of the Holy Spirit you can see 1500-1600's Martin Luther and the Justification and the work of the Holy Spirit where the documented utterance was mentioned in church services and meeting. The sanctification ( Holiness movement) 1600- to 1900 John and Charles Wesley where they wrote of the Holy Spirit and languages and power move of the Holy Spirit and healings. You can even go back further of the Church fathers 325 AD who spoke about the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. Clement, Origen as men became more educated they relied on human understanding over the Leading of the Holy Spirit This is why we see the limited movement of the Holy Spirit as they grew away from the Pentecost experience. a Form of godliness but denied the power thereof But God in His power moved anyway. We see this in the historical narrative of the church from Acts 80 AD to 325AD and 400AD, 700AD and 1500AD to 1900 AD.
Non of them taught, that speaking in tongues is the sign, that someone is baptised with the Holy Spirit. If so, please show me where they did.
And for shure not Martin Luther. There is no single scripture where he taught this. And he wrotea lot. In opposite: he wrote against this " Schwärmer " .
.The holiness movement may seen as in influence what later turned into the pentecostal movement. They came from the believe that a christian can live without to sin. But nowhere Wesley taught that speaking in tongues is the sign for to be baptised with the Holy Spirit, as it was taught later. The first person who was baptised with the Spirit according this teaching was Agne Ozman in Topeka 1901.

dc, there is a difference between being sealed with the Holy Spirit and being baptized with the Holy Spirit. Definitely, two very distinctive encounters.

You have so much word in you and I know you love God, I just don't understand why you resist and speak against the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

I think "messenger" is the wrong word.......it should be "witness." We receive power after the Holy Spirit comes upon us to be witnesses of Yeshua/Jesus. Without the power of the Holy Spirit, we're not effective witnesses - no power.

I disagree and I resist nothing thank you very much.....and the word messenger is just fine.....the power is in the message and not the messenger....

and for the record....we are immersed IN, NOT WITH.........

Paul said some proclaim out of love some out of PRETENSE in hopes to ADD TO MY BONDS...either way he did not care because the message is PROCLAIMED....THE POWER is in the message...NOT THE MESSENGER...

So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth.

If God wanted to "immerse" you in His Holy Spirit and release in you the gift of speaking in tongues, would you say, "Yes, Lord!"..................:unsure:

Tongues ceased with the completion of the word of God 1st century A.D.......what is done in churches today, promoted in churches today, peddled in churches today bears no resemblance to what took place in Acts.......REGARDLESS of any and all that disagree.....!

Despite what you "think," if God wanted to immerse you in His Holy Spirit and release in you the gift of speaking in tongues, would you say "yes, Lord"?

I have the Spirt of God dwelling in me by faith....I do not need childish things to prove that to me nor anyone around me......can I have the following without having the Spirit of God dwelling in me?

You have so much word in you and I know you love God <---Your words!!!

What I have said about you is true. You know it and I know it. Yes, you do have so much Word in you and I know you love God. There, I said it twice - it's now established.

You still haven't answered my question....

If God wanted (not you but, God) to immerse you in His Holy Spirit and release in you the gift of tongues, would you say "Yes, Lord" ?

It's a Yes or a No question......kind of like a valley of decision....a fork in the road.....

Would you tell Him Yes or No?

There can be no yes or no to that question because I believe the verbiage is clear...tongues ceased with the completion of the word of God......and in my 52 years, 47 of that being a believer I have never seen what took place in Acts repeated once...and I have family members and personal friends that are COG, AOG, Pentecostal, Catholic, Southern Baptist, Missionary Baptist Independent Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran and handful of other Christian flavors.....I have seen the mumbo jumbo passed off as tongues and numerous other Charismatic services and NONE of them mirrored Acts and or what took place in Acts.....and regardless.....the only church Addressed in the N.T. about these issues was immature, carnal and had some 15 other errors.......just saying...

Who has told you that tongues have ceased with the completion of the Word of God?

It seems so clear that tongues would INCREASE with the Holy Spirit being given to us because Christ was taken back to Heaven and did not want us to be orphans but, would send the Holy Spirit to us.

Visions, dreams, gifts of the Holy Spirit....all will increase in the Body of Christ especially as His return approaches.

What is the "completion of the Word of God?"

The bible.......1st Corinthians 13.....Tongues shall cease, Super natural knowledge will vanish away and prophecy shall fail when that which is COMPETE (PERFECT) is come <---Ar the completion of the word
