Word is singular, if you are trying to lead me to the words of the bible being God, you won't. The Bible is composed of words, nowhere does it say the words of God are God. Anyway, Yes, Jesus is the word (rhema) made flesh.
But the bible says we are born again by the word of God, small w.

AMEN! Yes I agree that Jesus is the word and the word is Jesus. Now when do you believe he STOP being the word?
But the word is not the KJV. It is a VERSION of the word.

Do you believe old testament saints were born again? Were they saved?

1 Peter 1:11 KJV
Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
Absolutely they were born again. Without the Spirit, we're none of His. And there wasn't a KJV in sight.

We are 'put in the right with God' by being justified by faith, at which point we are born again by the Spirit of God (Tit 3.4-7; Rom 5.17-18; 2 Cor 5.17-21).

Here's why I say the OT saints were born again...

James 2:23 said Abraham was God's friend. Now, the unregenerate, those devoid of God's Spirit, are His enemies. Romans 8 7-8 attests to that. Those in the flesh, those w/o the Spirit, are His enemies, at enmity with Him. Those in the Spirit, are those who have His Spirit, are born again. They are the only ones who can please God. So, to be God's friend, Abraham had to have God's Spirit within him.

I do not have to guess and or put doubt into people's minds by far flung rabbit trails that lead people to doubt the word......seems more than a few threads have that goal!!!!!

David speaks of his salvation in the present tense in the Psalms............

Does anyone argue that the great people of God including th eProhets were nor led by the Holy Spirit?

It is obvious to all of God's children.

I don't see a big deal with that one. The moment I was converted, he was my Lord and I knew it.
Yes, the moment you converted you could confess Jesus as Lord, but not before. Confessing Jesus as Lord will not convert the unbeliever. This verse in the NASB could lead many astray.

I don't believe so, I don't believe that word is necessaraly just ink on paper. Just like when we know the Lord, it is more than just knowledge.
Ink on paper is a method of preserving the inspired word. When the originals authors of the Bible wrote the word of God, they were preserving the inspired word. The authors were not inspired. The Scripture was inspired.

This is pure baloney. He said he was saved and then born again after reading the KJV. You guys have no shame about you. You've been conned into believing KJV superiority.

The OT saints were born again by God's Spirit. Where was their KJV at?

If you read the psalms you can't help but think they must have been.
Absolutely. David wasn't perfect, like the rest of us. But he was a repentant type of fellow, that's for sure.

If they were born again, they would have been absent from the body and present with the Lord. They would have been new creatures in Christ. But they were not since Christ had not died and resurrected as of yet. Remember, the Holy Spirit would come and go from those OT saints. The Holy Spirit found no permanent residence until the NT was put in force through the death of the testator Jesus Christ.

Abraham believed God, it was accounted to him as righteousness and he was called God's friend. That's James 2:23.

Those in the flesh are God's enemy. Why? They are devoid of His Spirit and are His enemies.

Those in the Spirit are God's friend. Why? They have God's Spirit and are His friends.

And that's the lamest excuse I've ever read when you said if the OT saints were born again they would have been absent from the body and present with the Lord. I'm born again and still in my flesh.

You guys know no bounds, have no shame about you, in regards to holding to your pet-heresy.

I am outta here. This dumpster fire just makes my blood boil.

I used to be a KJVO and believed other versions were corrupt. But I praise God He led me out of that heresy.
