I totally agree, and people who think they can cause themselves to become righteous are deluded. However Zone doesn't oppose self righteous only, but any righteousness, even righteousness that comes from Christ
Ive read all your posts in this thread....try rereading them yourself. Ask what
is my purpose here....and what do my posts tell people about me?
Ask yourself if your a demo of love or righteousness as you seem
to be defending ...and judging by. While your at it notice the partiality
you expose and the grouping you put others in(division)
and the FALSE accusation you just made.

ahh, but who is judging who. on one hand you have people declaring God's ability through grace to keep us from sin, on the other hand you have those attacking the truth of scripture, making all types of accusations against those that declare God's grace.

Which side are you on?

Its too bad. your brother was here not to long ago preaching the same crap.. He is gone now. maybe you know him??

The fact your dark enough to ask me what side im on tells me nothing
i didnt see in all your posts...u havnt had time to reread them...id suggest
you do and judge them yourself.

I havnt judged u...ive observed you...so far you only appear to be a crossfire groupie.
I havnt yet seen any sharing from you from the scripture and its implications.
But alot of fun in playing up the "we are being attacked" mantra.

I have heard of people refusing correction, but calling another dork for asking a question that is beyond the pale my friend.

As far as being a crossfire ''groupie'' that is fine, I am in total agreement with everything /i have seen him say thus far

so.... would adding water help or just make it more muddy?

well. its worth at try....

James 3:13-18
New King James Version (NKJV)

13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. 15 This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. 16 For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. 18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

So who wants to make peace? Who is willing to yield and be merciful and gentle and pray for the other that GOD might reveal HIS truth to them instead of cursing each other with your words?

I don't understand why people are making this discussion personal and flinging insults at each other.

Yes discussion of sin and how sin is removed is a very important topic.

Is it by your own will or effort? no and no one has said that.

Is it by the grace of God and through His Holy Spirit? yes and everyone has agreed that it is

the disagreement is does men have to strive for righteousness or is it all the work of the Holy Spirit?

Synegrism versus Monogeism ok I totally didn't spell that right but anyways.

I ask you if they admit that the HOLY SPIRIT is needed to save and they pray and they study and they strive to be the person God wants them to be, how is that bad?

Will God not correct them if they assume it is something THEY do instead of giving glory to God for it?

Yes we can not work for our salvation but we are saved For good works God has already ordained for us to do. We should strive to fulfill His commands and run the race He has laid for each of us and strive for that upward call.

Are we ever perfect or sinless? How can any one of us answer that? not even Paul said he was though he knew of nothing against him, he told us that GOD was judge and he would not even judge himself. Why don't we follow his advice on this and allow GOD to be the judge and live life and behave in a manner that glorifies JESUS Christ and not ourselves and our thoughts but straighten the path of others so that they might understand and be lead to CHRIST and salvation.

Instead of laying more stumbling blocks with our words and taking offense by finding disagreement where there is only misunderstanding and pointing out darkness instead of shining more light.

I don't even know if any of this makes sense but I for once am not going to edit it and leave it as is.

If I offend anyone I apologize and ask you to forgive me. If you have offended me I have already forgiven you because though I might get angry I do not let the sun set on my anger. I forgive those so that I might be forgiven, because I know how much I need God's forgiveness. Perhaps I'm naive, I thought everyone did this and am shocked so many people hold grudges and fling dirt and spread rumors and gossip instead of knowing the once someone repentance and asks you for forgivness you should do as GOD does and wash that sin or offense clean off the record. For love covers a multitude of sins. IF you love and forgive others then your sins will be forgive. if you do not, then what do you think will happen?

May God grant you peace and rest and fill your hearts with His LOVE and Joy that knows no bounds and May His living waters flow abundantly from your hearts into the lives of all that are around you. May His light shine and chase all the darkness from your life and reflect in your eyes His love.

Good night my brethren, May Jesus bless and guide you always.

Sooner or later you must choose a side. Anyone who lives in the shade of gray will end up in the darkness. No shades of gray with God. Either you serve Him or you serve Satan. Either you agree with God and His word, or you agree with Satan. There are only two choices. Choose life or choose death. Everyone will eventually have to choose.

that is certainly not what you meant when you asked which side i was on.
you seem like nothing more than a trap...think pretty highly of yourself
it looks to me.

I think i would know better what i meant than you. Do I think highly of myself? Well I believe what God says about rather than what you, Zone, eg or anyone else thinks. We all need to see ourselves as God sees us, not as we see ourselves, not as the world sees us, and certainly not as the Devil tries to tells us we are. Only the Devil wants us to believe we are still sinner incapable of overcoming

The modern false convert feels they are being humble by calling themselves the "chief of sinners" or bragging about their sinfulness against Christ. The reality is that this false humility is actually telling of how prideful and hateful toward God they are. Continuing on in sin every day is a sign of your stubborn rebellion against Christ and unyielding resistance against the Spirit of God. True humility is repenting of your sins, turning to the Lord Jesus Christ, and walking in loving obedience to Him. As long as you are the "chief of sinners" you are merely a prideful, arrogant, and boastful sinner. You pridefully exalt yourself in your heart above God each day in thought, word, and deed. Humble yourself before Him and sin not! Submit yourself to Him and allow the blood of His Son to cleanse you from all sin (1 John 1:9), thus making you a new creature in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17)!

James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

Proverbs 28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

Hebrews 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him

Hi NotIbutChrist,

We may not agree on many things, but I do agree with you here.
I would much rather believe what God says about me than man.
Two natures, not hardly, your right what does that say about the
sacrifice of Christ, this is what being born again is all about.
I mean, Are we sinners, or Saints? Right?
I've heard this all my life,....Were just sinners saved by Grace,
That statement is Ridiculous.
We were in sin, but now we are not.

I believe what Paul was trying to convey, is that sin may abide in my
members, But he, or us do not abide in sin.
The flesh is corrupt, we must put on incorruption, but my new man, nature
does not sin, for His Seed remains in me, and I (that is my new nature) cannot sin.

1Co 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

Somewhere in scripture it says, something like... as a man thinketh in his heart so is he.
And in the Gospels it tells us that if our eye is single, then our whole body will be
full of Light.

If I keep in my heart what Christ has done for me, I follow Him out of Love, more
and more. Sin shall not have dominion over me.
Wasn't it Paul who said ... All things are lawful for him, but he would not be
brought under the power of any.

If you see me in the flesh, That is not who I am in Christ.
All Praise to Him, if I get sick, that is not who I am in Him, In Him I am Healed
And made perferctly whole.
If I lose my temper and get angry, that is not who I am in HIM.
Do I Press on to put away Anger? Yes, always, but this is the flesh, again
not who I am in HIM.

I focus on The Spirit that I am connected to,
Not on my flesh, it will return to the dust.

Blessings

Although i find it hard to believe you ever really heard someone say this "chief of sinners" boast...talking about
their Christian life, and that you are not just making up a story to sell a point. It would not be called the things you call it....it could only be called unregenerate. A bornagain regenerate person could not and would not say this.

Proverbs 28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
why do you post a passage on confession of sins?
you don't have any.

To believe that we are sinless we must annul the standards of God’s Law. We must reduce the level of divine righteousness to the level of our own performance. We must lie to ourselves both about the Law of God and about our own obedience.

http://www.ligonier.org/blog/heresy-perfectionism/

it'll just be you and Jesus in heaven.
king david won't be there. nor moses or abraham....or jacob....

you won't be needing the service of my High Priest, so tear these pages out of your Bible.

Hebrews 7:25
Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

Romans 8:34
Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died--more than that, who was raised to life--is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.

Confess and forsake, confess and forsake Zone. confessing your sins do you no good if you refuse to forsake them
well, that's true. my personal testimony is that He enables me to do this. but i don't intend to share that with you.

when did you stop confessing?

you're sinless, so at some point you overcame and forsook all sin. was that when you helped God redeem you?
so you no longer need to confess.

tear these passages out of your Bible also. you don't need them.

Luke 11
Jesus’ Teaching on Prayer
1One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”

2He said to them, “When you pray, say:

“‘Father,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come.
3Give us each day our daily bread.
4Forgive us our sins,
for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.
And lead us not into temptation.’”

It is obvious by this post you do not know what i believe, which is shoking since you read what I write. Further and more concerning you do not understand the gospel.
