No offence, but this is one of the biggest twists of scripture I have ever seen on this site.....wow!!!
Study to show yourself approved, rightly dividing the scriptures, All scriptures must harmonize in order to understand the truth that Jesus taught.

This is another skew of scripture by the Calvinites......Many are called <--- MANY...not just a few select ISM followers

Calvin is dead. What does the word of God inform us?

How many of the whole are called so that then they can believe .This is seeing God must do the first work . We can plant the seed and water it but he must do the work of giving new spirit life.

Can we seek after him without his understanding working in us?

Still sheep need a shepherd and or under shepherd or they go astray.....!!
We must be careful how we hear or say we hear. The accuser of the brethren accuses us as sons of God day and night

The Sheppard of our soul indwells the believers body of death .Just like the Son of man Jesus who did not do the will of the corrupted flesh. But came do do the will of the father not seen. The same Father that works in us.

2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

Dconn is the most studied, Holy Spirit led individual on CC, and that’s saying a lot considering the magnificent brothers and sisters who also bless us every day here with wisdom and Truth.

What blows my mind....the verse referenced and the words of Jesus are aimed squarely at false teachers and yet the clowns will red x this truthful saying....that absolutely speaks to their dishonesty and total disregard for the truth... ..and the ring leader of the circus pushes Calvin over Jesus........tragic....!!

The context is eternal spirit salvation....geesh man.... should we change your name to Mr. Twisty
The natural man, before he has been born with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, does not have a zeal of God, as do the born again children mentioned in Romans 10. They were already a part of Jacob/Israel, and have the inheritance of eternal deliverance. This passage has reference to a deliverance here in this world by coming unto a knowledge of God's righteousness. You see, to me, you are mister Twisty.

I don't get the laughing at scripture. Apparently even scripture is suspect if it does not quote Calvin
It quotes God.

Calvin is dead and we are forbidden of necromancy "seeking to commune with the dead". We are warned of those who say we do need a man to teach us .its identifies the antichrists the Legion that was there when 1st John was written .

We must be careful how we hear, what the Spirit that lives in us says to us,> he must do the first work of giving us ears as His understanding. Then we can repent when we do fall as he turns us towards him and re-experience the first love believing the unseen God.

No man can believe. . exercise faith unless he first gives us ears and a willing new heart.

The last line in the above post is very controversial and challenging. It sounds like man is entirely dependent on God to receive the ability to believe. Most Christians would disagree with this, most ministers teach that salvation is a joint effort between God and man. You claim that man can't even believe unless God gives him everything he needs to be able to believe in the first place.

I'm sure you believe that we are required to turn from our sin and repent, then we receive forgiveness and salvation. Are you saying that God causes us to turn from our sins and repent, as well. If that be the case then salvation is the work of God from start to finish, and it also raises the question of why He only saves some and leaves others dead in their sins and trespasses.

I don't expect you to answer all the above questions as I understand that God hasn't revealed everything to us in the Bible, but I'd like to know what your view is on these difficult subjects.
