So it is "us" that repents? Right? So you are saying right here that in order to be saved "you" must repent, and this act you get 100% credit for? Because that is not what the bible says, and that is a work no matter which way you try to explain it not to be. What you're saying here is an exchange, I come with my repentance, God saves me. How in your head is this not a work? We come to Jesus with empty hands. What you are saying here is works salvation. Period. Or does some of the glory belong to you?

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:38)
Who do you think did the repenting here in order to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit? Since good works are excluded, Peter would not have said what he did unless it was God who told him to say exactly what he said.
Unless each and every Calvinist has first repented and then believed, or believed and then repented, he or she cannot be saved. One must be converted before receiving the Holy Ghost.
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; (Acts 3:19)
As to any talk of "credit" that is merely a straw man argument.

Christ is the Word made flesh (John 1:14). Christ and God are One. God is a Spirit Being (John 4:24), therefore -- Christ is too -- Who is Also The Word.
Spirit -- God and Christ (The Word) are not confined to a Book. they are Spiritual beings. spirit is not a Confined thing, confined Anywhere. therefore God can speak to Whosoever He wishes To -- through the spirit -- Anytime He wishes if the person is Open to it -- to hearing Spirit -- to hearing Christ (God)-- who is of Spirit and is The very Word of God.
