This is all so true. If we understood all that God does for us we would be in heaven.

But what we are addressing here is whether God forgives us even if we don't repent and ask Him to forgive us, but only that at one time in our life we did that but now rebel. If God does that heaven would be filled with even extreme sinners, we wouldn't be safe there.

To be forgiven of sins is only a part of what God does. The Bible states that ”while we were yet sinners” God loved us. According to many, that is impossible.
HE DIED THAT I MITE REPENT< AND TURN FROM MY SINS THAT I MITE LIVE.
Gal 2:17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, [is] therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.
Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. This is telling us that they are lost for Lawlessness, HE IS TELLING THEM THAT THEY ARE LOST FOR NOT KEEPING, AND OBEYING HIS LAWS. GOD'S LAWS IS NOT WORKS, IT IS OUR DUTY TO OBEY GOD'S LAWS,
Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this [is] the whole [duty] of man.
Ecclesiastes 12:14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether [it be] good, or whether [it be] evil. { EVEN BIBLE TELLS US THAT IT IS OUR DUTY TO OBEY HIS COMMANDMENTS

The question is: why would somebody even seek or ask for forgiveness for something he/she is not repenting of?

Thats a good question. How do you see the relationship between forgiveness and repentance? Do you see one preceding the other?

Yes his regenerated children are instructed to obey his commandments. The inspired word of God, the bible, was not written to the unregenerate, to instruct them how to get eternal deliverance, because they cannot discern the things of the Spirit, and thinks them to be foolishness. God's inspired scriptures were written to God's regenerated children instructing them as to how he wants them to live their lives, as they sojourn here on earth. It also informs them how that they became quickened to a spiritual life by his sovereign grace, without their help, and while they were yet dead (spiritually) in sins.

Rom 2:15, Which show the work of the law written in their hearts. Obeying God's laws are works, but obeying God's laws is not the cause of a person to get delivered (saved) eternally. The regenerated person that repents when he commits a sin, and attempts to obey God's laws is a product of already having been secured in the promise of his eternal inheritance.

Obeying God's laws are works that can deliver (save) a regenerated person from living a life of sin, while he lives his life here on earth, but obedience does not deliver (save) a person eternally.

YOU ARE THE ONE THAT SAYING THAT YOU DON'T HAFT TO REPENT, OR MAYBY YOU ARE SAYING THAT YOU JUSTN HAFT TO REPENT OF PART OF YOUR SINS, BECAUSE IF YOU DO NOT GIVE UP YOUR SINS YOU HAVE NOT REPENTED OF YOUR SIN, TO REPENT IS TO STOP DOING THEM, TO TURNN FROM YOUR SINS, WHICH MEANS STOP DOING THEM,

what OT or NT saint, prophet or apostle do you see that could keep the law of God perfectly?
THE BIBLE SAYS THAT JOB WAS A PERFECT AND UPRIGHT MAN.
JOB 1:1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name [was] Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.
1:2 And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters.
PSALMS 37:37 Mark the perfect [man], and behold the upright: for the end of [that] man [is] peace.
37:38 But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.
Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad [is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
7:14 Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
{ The reason that most people is going to be LOST is, BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT GIVE UP THEIR SINS SO THEY CAN BE SAVED, THE BIBLE SAYS REPENT FIRST.
MARK 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
ACTS 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

What we are trying to determine is whether the Lord asks us to not only have faith in that He can give forgiveness, but do we need to repent of our sin?
BECAUSE THEY HAVE SINED IS THE REASON THAT PEOPLE WILL DIE, FOR THERE IS NO DEATH sentence WITHOUT SINNING, THAT IS WHY JESUS CAME TO PAY FOR THE SINS THAT I HAVE COMMITED, THE WAGES FOR SIN IS DEATH,

Maybe we can ask the question the other way around: why would we not want to repent of our sin?

NOW YOU LOOK AT THESE VERSES AND SEE WHAT THE FIRST PART OF THEIE SALVATION COMES FIRST, IT IS REPENT!!!
JESUS SAY UNLESS YOU REPENT YOU WILL LIKE WISE PERISH.
ACTS 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
ACTS 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
3:20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:
ACTS 8:22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
REVELATION 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
3:22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

LUKE 13:5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

i don’t remember saying one should not repent. i think confession and repentance are necessary and fundamental to the Christian life. If I’ve insinuated any differently, it was not intentional.

Well, as you seem blind to your own behaviour, someone needs to point it out to you. I get it though; you prefer to shoot the messenger.
You are not being shot when I disagree with you. As you tell me, grow up. What i object to in your posts are the times you shoot the messenger instead of shooting the message you disagree with.

I think because they want to repent of all their sin.
THEY WANT SALVATION, BUT NOT ENOUGH FAITH TO GIVE SINS AND TURN, LOVE SIN MORE THEN GOD.
SOMETHING LIKE SOME one saying that they would drather die then to GIVE up their cigarettes, BUT THEY DON'T really want to DIE,

Perfect here does not mean that Job was sinless, without fault of defect, flawless, absolutely perfect 100% of the time and Job had admitted his human sinfulness (Job 7:21; 13:26). Do you admit yours?

The word "perfect" which in Hebrew is "tam" does not necessarily imply absolute sinlessness. It signifies, rather, completeness, integrity, sincerity, but in a relative sense. The Hebrew term tam is equivalent to the Greek teleios, which is often translated perfect in the NT but which is better translated "full grown" or "mature."

In regards to man being sinless:

Ecclesiastes 7:20 - For there is not a just man on earth who does good and does not sin.

Romans 3:23 - ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

JUST BECAUSE WE HAVE SINNED, DOES NOT MEAN THAT WE STILL ARE SINNING, WE DO HAVE THE CHOICE NOT TO COMMIT SINS, AND COMMITING SIN IS, WE KNOW IT IS SIN, AND DO IT ANYWAY, GOD DOES NOT JUDGE US FOR SINS THAT WE DO NOT KNOW IS SIN, HE IS GOING TO JUDGE US FOR THE THINGS THAT WE KNOW IS SIN, AND STILL DO IT. ALL HAVE SINNED< BUT THAT DON'T MEAN THAT THEY HAFT TO KEEP ON SINNING, THEY DO HAVE THE CHOICE TO STOP SINNING AND LET YESUAH PAY FOR THE SINS THAT THEY HAVE DONE, THEN BY KEEPING THE COMMANDMENTS THEY CAN QUIT COMMITING SIN, DO YOU NOT KNOW THAT A LOT OF THE REFORMERS CHOSE TO BE BURNT AND DIE, ON A STACK, RATHER THEN TO CHOSE TO SIN AND AND LIVE, THIS IS WHAT I CALL REPENTENCE, AND I PREY THAT GOD GIVES ME THE SPIRIT AND STRANGTH AND KNOWLEDGE TO DO THE SAME, TO DIE RATHER THEN TO SIN. I PRAISE GOD THAT GOD LET ME LEARN HOW THE REFORMERS DIED FOR THEIR FAITH, THAT IS WHAT I CALL FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH, PRAISE GOD. AND BELIEVE ME THAT TIME OF PERSECUTION IS GETTING REAL CLOSE AGAIN,
