Are you married? Maybe people who are single have a harder time? Adam and Eve had face to face teaching with the Lord. They knew things that we could only dream of. They had total access to the Lord Of the universe.
What would you do for your wife, who was on her knees dying right in front of you? You would listen to her pleas about how she was deceived and you would devise a plan to SAVE her.
I think most of us just read this as some story in book. But this was real life. Real love. Real choices to make.
Yeah I’m just talking about what’s plainly written down in scripture there in genesis doesn’t seem One needs to be married to understand better not really sure why you went to this place lol I was just talking about those scriptures and what they obviously and plainly state.
are you saying Adam loved eve so much tbat he committed suicide ? How would adam eating the fruit because “eve was pleading for him to save her “ help her ? I guess it’s the original Romeo and Juliet but in reverse or ?
seems more likely the serpent spoke about the fruit to eve , she ate it believing what he said and then she spoke to Adam about the fruit and he ate some also.
Maybe it just that Adam was a great lover of eve and became suicidal I suppose but it doesn’t seem to be Indictated in any way. Seems to be more basic than a mystery
they were given the commandment and warning about death . Eve was beguiled when she spoke to the serpent about the fruit and ate some . Then she spoke to her husband and he ate some also which she also gave to him .
both had broken the commandment tbey were made aware of which means both sinned broke the same commandment knowingly. The driving force was what Satan convinced eve of , and God says the causation is that he hearkened to the voice of his wife and ate the fruit he commanded them not to eat. And the result was the curse on the earth and mankind’s flesh soon followed.
pauls point is that eve was the one who first sinned and was Theo deceived you see her mind change from this
“And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. ( correct mindset )
And
the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: for God doth know that
in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
( now her mind about the fruit has changed ) And
when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, ( she’s been beguiled she knew it was certain death by Gods word but affter speaking with the serpent , she now has been deceived to think it’s not going to harm her it’s good for food ) and that it was pleasant to the eyes,
and a tree to be desired to make one wise, ( it won’t hurt you as God said it’s good food , it will actually make you wise as gods is her perception of the fruit now )
she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.”
Genesis 3:2-6 KJV
She was led to eat the fruit by a subtle conversation with someone with the wrong intent. Beguiled to believe “the fruit wasn’t as God said but was good for them “
It’s what motivates her to act clearly . The reason we know adams motivation is the same process just by listening
“And unto Adam he said,
Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;”
Genesis 3:17 KJV
Maybe she was his boss lol idk but for sure
he hearkened to her words and are the fruit just as she had to the serpents words and eaten the fruit
pauls argument is that
she was the one who was deceived and failed and led the man into it as well . She listened to the serpent and he listened to her whatever it was she said it led him to do it “ because you have hearkened to her voice and eaten the fruit …”
Just my own opinion according to what I’ve read and shared ect seems like Paul isnt saying “ Adam never was deceived and sinned “ but he’s just explaining how man has authority over his wife and in church and his reasoning is back to Adam and Eve and that she was the weaker link that “ caused” then to fall
