Matthew 7:21-23
[SUP]21 [/SUP] “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
[SUP]22 [/SUP] On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’
[SUP]23 [/SUP] And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’
Lumberjack this is what notuptome is talking about. Just because a Catholics SAYS they are praying to God does not mean they are following God as their Lord. Going to Church means nothing if you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and do not do the Will of the Father.
In other words, just because you claim to be a Christian does not mean you are a True Christian! The Holy Spirit in these verses says not everybody who claims to be a Christian is a True Christian. There are many Tares in the Church today. Tares are those who do not do the Will of the Father and cannot enter into Heaven. I personally know many Catholics who are Tares because they follow and Worship Mary as their God.
