Yep, Paul not Lie, but, as far as true God, I believe true God must have 3 element, Father, Son and Holy spirit.
And to come to the Father, Jesus is the only acces. It doesn't matter, to come for pray or worship, the only door is Jesus.
Romans 10: 2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

We agree that Paul is not lying.
So, the zeal of God that the Jews had, is Paul saying it is the zeal of the true God, or the zeal of a false god?

I know I'm butting in here, but Muslims do not in any way believe in God. They believe in a false god, and a demonic one. The Muslim religion, Islam is anti-Christ, in every way possible. They are utterly lost unless someone brings them the truth, which I know people are trying to do. Very difficult because they are so brainwashed.

THIS is what I was commenting about, I read it wrong. EVERY convert to islam is a soul lost to satan himself.
Hi powderman,

What's your take on the Jews? Are they worshipping the true God with a lot of errors and false information? Or are they worshipping a false god?

1 John informs us as sons of God which we are but what we will be when we receive the end of the promise is not known . He does reveal some of the mysteries of the bride the church

Some did have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. Like Paul as Saul . As Saul he served the pagan religious tradition. . "out of sight out of mind" .No faith from God needed. T

he law of the fathers . Kill the misperceived competition (flesh and blood) as as false zeal for knowing God.

The Holy Spirit turned it right side up. Pricked Saul's behind with the thorny letter of the law. And as a way out.. . . Woke him up gave him a new spirit with a proper sensitivity . You could say more motherly, submissive to her loving husband .

2 Corinthians 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

The kinds mama bear love he has for us. Like a mother hen . He is the rooster who awakens us from the fast , snooze. . . fast . . . snooze. lol

Proverbs 17:12 Let a bear robbed of her whelps meet a man, rather than a fool in his folly.

I don't agree true God not include Jesus.
Well, then using your standard and approach,
translator is lie!

He capitalize God, mean true God.

True God include Jesus

Translator is lie, attack foundation of Christianity.

True God is not a man. The Son of God in the form of man (a creation) Son of man did the will of the Father. Yet he alone knew no sin .

2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

No power from the earthen vessel. One is Lord God not seen. The flesh has no power to rebuke.

All I know is jews do not believe Jesus as God
That's cool, we don't have to know everything!

But I think your answer is important to the discussion, so we can wait until you do know.

I think it's important because I think this question:
"Did the Jews have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge?"
involves the same philosophical issues as the "same God or different god" things we've been discussing.

Your post reminds me of the proverb
"It isn't good to have zeal without knowledge; nor being hasty with one's feet and missing the way."

In the same way,
Jeremiah 2: 6 Neither did they say, 'Where is the Lord who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, who led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought and of the shadow of death, through a land that none passed through,

and where no man lived?'

No, the translator doesn't say that Christians adore muslim God. Neither does he say that Christians do not adore muslim God.

What he does say is that Jews had a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
He capitalizes God, so we know that he believes that it refers to the true God.
