I like an apostolic church, with all the gifts operating, but unfortunately where we live there arent

Not only choosing a church. But asking a church to accept you as a member.
It takes cooperation from fellow believers to be baptized.
As I said, our church invites people to join. It’s pretty much an open invitation to anyone who attends services. They do encourage you to come to a four-hour class first.

From what I know from people where I live the process to join the EOC can be anywhere from near instant to a multi-year process.

The process to join the Catholic Church is much more standardized. RCIA once a week from September to Easter.
