Oh goodness... people still won't accept Jesus is God?

Craziness...this threas has proven it time and time again....

Isaiah 9:6
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
_____
John 1
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

___

11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

To all you who deny Jesus as God, do you believe Jesus is good?

Yes or no?
Didn't Jesus say that the Father is the only true God?

Didn't the NT writers give thanks to God our Father and to our Lord Jesus Christ?

Perhaps you should correct them, shouldn't you OneOfHis?

For someone that quite frankly hasn’t provided anything of substance, you shouldn’t be so smug with people you disagree with.

Perhaps if you quote the statement to which you're referring, your question can be answered. Making something up or remembering it badly doesn't obligate others to go hunting on your behalf.

hahaha

word games from the man who ignores scripture... go figure....

Not going to play semantics with you.

The bible clearly says at many points Jesus is God, if you decide to post an arguement to say none of the verses I posted say Jesus is God, then I can start to work on that.

We go to Gods word not mans understanding.

You are too far from all knowing to be a reliable source because your feelings tell you one thing when the bible says another.
OK

Jn 17:3

Didn't Jesus, speaking to the Father (see Jn 17:1), say that the eternal life is for those who know the Father the only true God and Jesus Christ (not God) whom He (God) sent?

More word games..🙄

You know that Jesus and the Father are one?

You know Jesus was the word and the word was God?

Goodness.. your words are weak and powerless as if you're trying to win an argument opposed to shine light on the truth....

We could play that game all day.

What we ought to do is post a verse

then add the context

what is being said

why its being said

who it is being said to

what are the implications

what other verses back up that verse in other words.....

I think you should start from page one and read a bit... could be a huge blessing to you

Well, I pointed to God's word.

What did you do, Aerials?

Did you provide a text stating that God is Trinity or that satan is a fallen angel??

Nop!!!

So you have directed these remarks to yourself, didn't you?

No, they were to you. Also, you blew off or gave some off the wall responses when I referred to certain things. Being uninformed and cryptic doesn’t make you correct.

I can see by the last page or two that you're bickering. Using one verse as your proof is silly. A proper understanding of the whole counsel of Scripture will lead you to the right conclusion. I leave you to your study.

1 John 5:7
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

also the verses you mentioned in no way say Jesus is NOT God like you claimed

These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:

2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

You forgot to write with the capital "Word".

As I said before, John couldn't have said something out of the blue (we are told that God sent "logos" to Israel through Jesus) but to refer to the prophets like Isa 55:11, ps33:6-9 or specifically to the prophecy of 2Sam 7:12.

Try 1Cor 1:7, 8:6 and continue with thanks giving in opening of epistles.
Question: could the writers say contrary to what they began with in the epistles?

1 John 5:7 There are three "ways" the evidence came to us. It doesn't say that God is Trinity or that Jesus or the H.S. are Gods. It says that there is no discrepancy in the Word of God.

John 10:30
30 I and my Father are one.

So the Father and Jesus are the same entity or, perhaps, their purpose and action is identical.
