Jesus said of his own flesh it profits for zero
He gave His flesh for us.
that profited --
-- yes His own flesh; He took on the form of man, fully adding humanity to Himself, in order that the separation might be broken down and we might be with Him, and He among us.
if the Son of Man is not the Son of God, there is no salvation; the cross is without value.

but the cross is the power of God to us whoa re being saved: therefore Christ, fully human Christ, is fully God.

God came down... Not some angel
amen
verily He took not on Him the nature of angels;
but He took on Him the seed of Abraham.
(Hebrews 2:16 kjv)
not an angel.
'took on the form' indicates the form being spoken of is not the eternal essence of His person:
therefore Christ is not an angel, because then 'took on form of an angel' is meaningless,
and neither was Jesus the incarnation of Christ, an angel - explicitly by the text, He did not come taking this form.

He did take on Himself the form of a man - an Israelite, of Judah - the seed of Abraham.
therefore taking on the form He exists in another form beforehand. He is more than human.
having taken on fully humanity, and His person not being that of either angel or any other created thing,
the person of Christ is God.

AMEN, post.

Hebrews 1
3
The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His nature, upholding all things by His powerful word [Whose word sustains all things? how can an angel's word uphold all things?]. After He had provided purification for sins [“God Himself will provide the lamb”], He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
4 So He became as far superior to the angels as the name He has inherited is excellent beyond theirs.
5 For to which of the angels did He ever say: "You are my Son; today I have begotten You"? And again: "I will be to Him for a Father, and He will be to Me for a Son"?
6 And again, when God brings His firstborn into the world, He says: “Let all God’s angels worship Him.”
7 Now about the angels He says: "He makes His angels winds, His servants flames of fire.”
8 But about the Son [since He isn't an angel] He [Father] says [something different]: “Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever, and justice is the scepter of Your kingdom.
13 Yet to which of the angels did God ever say: “Sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet”? [none, these enemies are enemies of God. Not enemies of some angel]
14 Are they not all ministering spirits, being sent forth for service for the sake of those being about to inherit salvation?

This whole paragraph was written so people wouldn't be fooled by this fake teaching, to consider Jesus an angel.

and that whole paragraph -- not written as though the deity of Christ was something which the reader needed to be convinced of, but reminded - taking it for granted that it was known & understood, using it to show His supremacy

Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before The Angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him. And the LORD said to Satan, “The LORD rebuke you, Satan! The LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?
(Zechariah 3:1-2)
The Angel of the LORD -- the express image of the LORD -- here is called the LORD -- they are one & the same
the LORD says 'the LORD rebuke you' -- amazing!
(they are)/(He is) one LORD, yet individual

His flesh signified and not literally as sinful was needed to demonstrate what the written law could not do. The invisible work of the Spirit working in the Son of man, Jesus .

His Spirit reckoned by the unseen father is that which quickens our new soul .The unseen Spirit giving of life . No life comes from dead corrupted flesh

The disciples who were hoping the flesh could profit walked away in unbelief (no faith)

John6: 63-66 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father. From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

OK, yes :)
being found after the image of man, His life testifies of the perfection of flesh, which is by spirit - as the sculpted dust became a living soul by the breath that was breathed into it by The Life-Giving Spirit

Garee, would you explain the meaning and purpose of colors you use when quoting?
It makes no sense to other people without explanation, except that I concluded that you put God's name in red, which I don't see the purpose for, and it's so hard to read through your posts when one sentence is interrupted with 10 colors. I find myself sometimes skipping your posts when I want to look at them but I can't get through the color wall.
Please take this as a constructive criticism I am not saying it to be mean.

The Life-Giving Spirit

which --

The first man Adam became a living being;
The Last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
(1 Corinthians 15:45)
portrays Christ as God -- He, "The Last Adam" gives life, as it is the LORD who breathes into the first man Adam, giving Him life.
upholding all things, sustaining all things, having created all things, He gives souls existence: these are things describing the One and only Creator

Dust does not become a living soul .The temporal spirit becomes a living eternal born again spirit. God is not a man

With a unbeliever the spiritless dust return to where it was formed and the temporal spirit returns to the father who gave it.

Black = dead no power .

Green =life of the spirit'

Red= the source of spirit life (God)

Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Jesus said of his own flesh it profits for nothing. God is not a man.

Where in Scripture do you get the idea of a "temporal spirit"?

Jesus said of his own flesh it profits for nothing. God is not a man.
Garee, do you believe that Jesus is God?

Dust does not become a living soul .
thank you, you're right; i misspoke - the first Adam, sculpted of dust, became a living soul when the breath of life was breathed into him.
it is not the dust that gives life, but the Spirit.

The Last Adam became 'a life-giving spirit' -- showing Himself to be divine

That knowledge is her faith, and that is how she was healed.

So the healing power actually came from Jesus, but it was her act of faith that availed herself to that power and in that way, 'her faith healed her'. Agreed?

In the same way, is it not possible that the resurrecting power that raised Jesus from the dead actually came from his Father, but Jesus' faithful obedience to a sacrificial death availed himself to that resurrecting power and in that way Jesus 'raised up' the figurative temple?

"Paul, an apostle...through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him up from the dead." (Galatians 1:1)

Psalms 144:5 Bow thy heavens, O LORD, and come down :coffee:: touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.
Micah 1:3 For, behold, the LORD cometh forth out of his place :coffee:, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth.
God came down... Not some angel

Did the centurion actually travel to meet Jesus and speak to him face to face, per the account at Matthew 8:5-13?
Or did the centurion only travel to meet Jesus and speak to him by proxy, per the parallel account at Luke 7:1-10?

"[T]he centurion sent friends to say to him..." (Luke 7:6)
"I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me." (John 6:38)

You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.'" (Hebrews 1:8-9)

Does this mean that God has a God?

Garee, do you believe that Jesus is God?
The temporal ..The spirit that was given at creation .It was subject to the letter of the law "death" . A person must be born again of a new spirit and heart.

Ezekiel 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

Jesus the Christ as God's Holy anointing Spirit worked in the Son of man to both will and do the good pleasure of God . .

Jesus as the Son of man did the will of the Father as the Holy Spirit the power that worked in him .As a apostle he was not sent to do his own will (the lust or demands of the flesh) Called the power of the air .

Ephesians 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Like us the Son of man Jesus had the power working in in theses earthen bodies of death . That power was not of the flesh ..

2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

God is not a man that we should answer him, and we should come together in decision making plan . He is of one mind and always does whatsoever his soul pleases . For he performs the work in us that he appoints to us . We should believe and not murmur .

That all doesn't answer my question.

Do you believe that Jesus is God? A simple 'yes' or 'no' will do.

Here's another one:

"[The Son] is...the firstborn of every creature." (Colossians 1:15)
Here's were context is critical. The statement is in the context of resurrection. Jesus is the first one resurrected from the dead. It says nothing about His nature otherwise.
