Christ is God ..... He Was 100% God and 100% man,

When He came He left His divinity in Heaven so that He could die and be like us. He connected to the Father to do what He did.
no, i disagree; He set aside His glory - the robe whose train filled the temple. humbling Himself to wear the garment of a servant.
He is never '
not-God'

He did not die '
like us' - no one takes His life from Him, but He lays it down. that is totally unlike how we die.

the centurions who watched Him do this all became believers, saying, no man ever died like this :)

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me
(Galatians 2:20)
it is Christ in me who lives, not i

Do you not know that you are the temple of God and the Spirit of God dwells in you?
(1 Corinthians 3:16)
it is the Spirit of God in me who lives, not i

it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure
(Philippians 2:13)
it is God in me who lives, not i

Christ left His glory when He came to earth and humbled Himself. He always was and always remained God. Therefore He said "Before Abraham was I AM". "I AM" or "I AM THAT I AM" is the name of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He is the God of Christians also.

When the chief priests and scribes quoted Micah 5:2 to king Herod, they made a glaring omission: But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; [whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. ] omitted.

It is only God who is from everlasting to everlasting. The Son of God is God, therefore He too was from everlasting, But He took the form of man, humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death.

Show from scripture that Jesus the Messiah is God.

i'll go first:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
(John 1:1-5)

The Christ is that Word, who pitched His tent with us, came to His own, but wasn't known by them, who loved me, and gave Himself! He is the Light and the Resurrection and the Life!

OK, your turn! Go!!
Not sure if anyone pointed this out, but compare Ecclesiastes 12:7 KJV with Acts 7:59KJV:

"And so the dust shall return to the Earth as it was, and the Spirit shall return to God Who gave it."

"And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit."

Jesus is the Christ, and He is our Savior, our Lord, and our God. But the Father is the God of all ( including Jesus).

Eph 1: 3 Blessed be the GOD and FATHER of our Lord Jesus Christ, ...

EPH 1: 2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God the Father, AND from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Eph 1: 17 That the GOD OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, the Father of glory, ...

Heb 1: 4 Being made so much better than the angels, ...

Heb 1: 9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore, GOD, even ( that is) thy GOD , hath anointed Thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Isaiah 45: 11 Thus saith the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and His Maker: ...

John 6: 38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will but the will of Him that sent me.

Eph 3: 14-15 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven is named,...

1 Peter 1: 3 Blessed be the GOD and FATHER of our Lord Jesus Christ, ...

John 14: 28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If you loved me , ye would rejoice, because I said , I go unto the Father; for my Father is greater than I.

John 13: 16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.

Matt 28: 18 And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All authority IS GIVEN unto me in heaven and in earth.

Gal 4: 14 And my trial, which was in my flesh, ye despised not, nor rejected, but received me as an angel of God, even ( that is) as Christ Jesus.

Acts 2: 36 Therefore, let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that GOD ( the Father) hath made that same Jesus , whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.

1Cor 15: 27-28 For He ( the Father) hath put all things under His feet. But when He saith all things are put under Him, it is manifest that He ( the Father) is excepted who did put all things under Him.

What is amazing about the Bible is that the truth faces people in the eyes and they still can't see.

1 Corinthians 10:9-10
nor let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed by serpents; nor complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer.

 • Paul references Numbers 21 in particular and several other passages where Israel complained that God had brought them out of Egypt only to kill them, their children and animals ((c.f.e. Exodus 17)), as though it testifies of Christ.
 • In these passages in the Torah it is God, the LORD who is being complained against
 • God refers to this as 'testing Him' in for example Psalm 95 / Hebrews 3:8
 • Christ is equivalent to the LORD God

Daniel 7:13-14
[13] “I saw in the night visions,

and behold, with the clouds of heaven
there came one like a son of man,
and he came to the Ancient of Days
and was presented before him.
[14] And to him was given dominion
and glory and a kingdom,
that all peoples, nations, and languages
should serve him;
his dominion is an everlasting dominion,
which shall not pass away,
and his kingdom one
that shall not be destroyed.

Mark 14:61-64
[61] But he remained silent and made no answer. Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?” [62] And Jesus said, “I am, and you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.” [63] And the high priest tore his garments and said, “What further witnesses do we need? [64] You have heard his blasphemy. What is your decision?” And they all condemned him as deserving death.

———

In those times the seat at the right hand of the throne was reserved for the prince, the heir to the throne, the one who will be king.
In other words, there’s no distinction between the two, the people worship the prince as they worship the king because he will eventually be king.

The high priests understood Jesus’ claim that’s why they killed Him.

There is only one throne in heaven:

Revelation 22:1
And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.

it is both the throne of God and the Lamb, because they are One and their name, One

see below, 'throne' is singular - the throne of Christ is the throne of the LORD God; He is the LORD

Thought this thread was about Christ’s deity shown in scripture, not how many thrones there are. But here you go.

Jesus references Daniel here.
Mark 14:61-64

The Ancient of Days Reigns

[9] “As I looked, thrones were placed,
and the Ancient of Days took his seat;
his clothing was white as snow,
and the hair of his head like pure wool;
his throne was fiery flames;
its wheels were burning fire.

[13] “I saw in the night visions,

Mark 12

28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?

29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

"Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us."
(Romans 8:34, KJV)

Jesus and God the Father are One, and Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father on the throne they share together in heaven.

Revelation 21

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

I love these verses because they show how much God loves us. When the New Jerusalem comes down from heaven, God's throne will be there, too! Our God will no longer be a distant abstraction in the third heavens as some perceive Him. He will be physically here on earth, dwelling with us in that awesome city, the New Jerusalem!

Earthly kingdoms are a shadow of the heavenly kingdom. When Israel wanted an human king, the LORD told Samuel it was He Himself they were rejecting as their king. God is the king, the only true king of Israel - yet this is what Christ is called, the King of Israel.

Jesus is LORD. The Prince of Peace is the very same King of all Kings.

There is only one throne in heaven…
Thrones were placed, Ancient of Days took his seat then enters Christ on the clouds sits at the right hand of Power. Would seem you’re wrong about the number of thrones, at least in Daniels vision. But that’s not the point, point is Christ did claim to be God in Mark 14
