I won't give a short answer because I like to be clear in reasoning out what I am saying
sigh.

1 John 1:8
If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

~

The object of the apostle is to show that it is implied in the very nature of the gospel that we are sinners, and that if, on any pretence, we denied that fact, we utterly deceived ourselves.
Barnes

Notwithstanding believers are cleansed from their sins by the blood of Christ, yet they are not without sin; no man is without sin
Gill

Ὅτι that, may be taken merely as a mark of quotation: "If we say, sin we have not." On the phrase to have sin, see on John 16:22, and compare have fellowship, 1 John 1:3. Sin (ἁμαρτίαν) is not to be understood of original sin, or of sin before conversion, but generally. "It is obvious that this ἔχειν ἁμαρτίαν (to have sin), is infinitely diversified, according to the successive measure of the purification and development of the new man. Even the apostle John does not exclude himself from the universal if we say" (Ebrard).
Vincent

(5) There is none but need this benefit, because there is none that is not a sinner.
(e) This fully refutes that perfectness of works of supererogation (doing more than duty requires, the idea that excess good works can form a reserve fund of merit that can be drawn on in favour of sinners) which the papists dream of.
(f) So then, John speaks not thus for modesty's sake, as some say but because it is so indeed.
Geneva

1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves. To say that we have reached a sinless state in which we no longer need the blood of Christ to cleanse us is a deception. This language is in square opposition to the claims of the Perfectionists of all ages
PNT

The confession of sins is a necessary consequence of "walking in the light" (1Jo 1:7)
that we have no sin-"Have," not "have had," must refer not to the past sinful life while unconverted, but to the present state wherein believers have sin even still. Observe, "sin" is in the singular; "(confess our) sins" (1Jo 1:9) in the plural
JFBBC

The apostle then instructs the believer in the way to the continued pardon of his sin. Here we have, 1. His duty in order thereto: If we confess our sins, v. 9. Penitent confession and acknowledgment of sin are the believer's business, and the means of his deliverance from his guilt. And, 2. His encouragement thereto, and assurance of the happy issue. This is the veracity, righteousness, and clemency of God, to whom he makes such confession: He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness
Henry

...1:8 If we say we do not bear the guilt of sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.

Once again v. 8 refers to a claim of the opponents. The phrase translated bear the guilt of sin as used in the Gospel of John (9:41, 15:22, 15:24, 19:11) refers to situations where a wrong action has been committed or a wrong attitude already existed, resulting in a state of sin (i.e., guilt). This is the situation of the secessionist opponents. Such people are deceiving themselves. “Deceit” characterizes these opponents: in 1 John 2:26 they are trying to deceive others (the readers); in 3:7 the author again warns his readers against attempted deceit. The attempt of the opponents to deceive others begins with their self-deceit about being guilty of sins committed....

..1:9 But if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous, forgiving us our sins and cleansing us from all unrighteousness.

Does the author of 1 John refer here to an initial confession of sins at conversion (when a person becomes a believer), or to ongoing confession of sins in the life of the believer, or possibly to both at the same time? It seems unlikely that the author is worried about the initial justification of the people to whom he is writing: he regards the members of the community who have “remained” and not “gone out” (1 John 2:19) as genuine believers. Thus the author points out that if Christians confess the sins they are aware of, they may be sure that God will forgive their sins and cleanse them not only from those sins they confess but from all unrighteousness....
Bible. org Comm

Verse 8
[8] If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
If we say — Any child of man, before his blood has cleansed us.
We have no sin — To be cleansed from, instead of confessing our sins, 1 John 1:9, the truth is not in us - Neither in our mouth nor in our heart.

Verse 9
[9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
But if with a penitent and believing heart, we confess our sins, he is faithful - Because he had promised this blessing, by the unanimous voice of all his prophets.
Just — Surely then he will punish: no; for this very reason he will pardon. This may seem strange; but upon the evangelical principle of atonement and redemption, it is undoubtedly true; because, when the debt is paid, or the purchase made, it is the part of equity to cancel the bond, and consign over the purchased possession.
Both to forgive us our sins — To take away all the guilt of them.
And to cleanse us from all unrighteousness — To purify our souls from every kind and every degree of it.
Wesley

have you been baptised Skinski?

what does it say happens when we OBEY THE GOSPEL AND ARE IMMEDIATELY BAPTIZED? < get back to me on this one please.

and what does this say?

Col 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

and what's THIS:

Col 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

who is doing the heart circumcision?
who is doing the raising?
any clue yet?

~

you have admitted here you don't understand A THING about the Atonement.

that should be a red light to you to go and learn about THAT.

NO CLUE how the Blood is applied. complete denial of 1 John < THE WHOLE PASSAGE IS ONE UNIT.
You continually ask questions and divert yet you REFUSE to even acknowledge the crucifixion of the flesh with the lusts thereof.

You act like all your questions somehow CANCEL OUT the crucifixion of the flesh with the lusts thereof as being applicable to salvation.

When one HAS "obeyed the Gospel" they HAVE "repented" which of course means they HAVE "crucified the old man with the passions and desires." Thus the "body of sin' HAS "been destroyed" that they "no longer SERVE sin," for one is a "servant to whom they obey, whether sin unto death of obedience unto righteousness." The Christian HAS "obeyed from the heart" the "doctrine that was delivered," which is "the doctrine according to godliness."

Baptism is an outward act testifying of what has already happened WITHIN the heart of the new born believer. Yes have been Baptised. Perhaps you will ask whether it was by sprinkling or immersion next as your next "diversionary act of accusation digging" as opposed to dealing with the actual content of what I have written?

What does Col 2:12-13 say? Well let's take a look.

Col 2:11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
Col 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
Col 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

Verse 11 has the body of sins being put off due to the circumcision being made without hands (spiritual circumcision as opposed to physical). Circumcision was a CUTTING OFF OF THE FLESH. Being circumcised with Chris is a CUTTING OFF OF THE FLESH ie. the flesh being crucified with the lusts therof.

Verse 12 connects the body of sin being put off with being buried with Jesus in Baptism. Which is exactly what Paul teaches in Romans 6 where he connects WALKING IN NEWNESS OF LIFE resulting from this BEING BURIED WITH HIM IN BAPTISM.

Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

The raising up is conditional on being baptised in death.

Paul connects the being baptised in death with the crucifixion of old man and the body of sin being destroyed and then connects that with not SERVING sin.

Rom 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

Col 2:12 speaks of being raised up by faith in the OPERATION (Energy in the Greek) of God. Hence God does the raising and we do the believing. Yet the DEATH of the old man still comes FIRST. Rom 6:4 also speaks of the same thing because Paul says "that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father." Thus it is God that does the raising, not ourselves.

Col 2:13 also connects the "forgiveness of sins" in there.

Col 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

Which we see in this verse too...

Act 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

Sins are blotted out when the time of refreshing comes from the presence of the Lord. This is the same as being raised up with Christ. Yet notice that REPENTANCE and CONVERSION are CONDITIONS that must be met before this happens.

Also true is that sins CANNOT be remitted without the shedding of blood. Hence the blood of Christ remits sins. Yet this cleansing of sin CANNOT occur unless one FIRST is walking in the light as He is in the light.

1Jn 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Thus if you connect Romans 6:4-7, Col 2:11-13, Act 3:19, 1Joh 1:7 and also read the surrounding context of all those verses a very clear picture can be seen.

First...
Repentance (change of mind) + Conversion (change of direction ie. DEEDS) (Act 3:19)
Old Man Crucified/Body of sin destroyed (Rom 6:6)
Body of Sins put off (Col 2:11-12)
Flesh Crucified with Passions and Desires (Gal 5:24)
Second...
Raised Up/Quickened + Sins Forgiven(Col 2:12-13, Rom 6:4)
Refreshing + Sins Forgiven (Act 3:19)
Walking in the light + Sins forgiven (1Joh 1:7)
All of which fits perfectly with...

Isa 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Pro 28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

How is the blood applied? How do we approach God? Here is what the Bible teaches...

Heb 10:19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
Heb 10:20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
Heb 10:21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
Heb 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

So we approach God with a TRUE HEART in boldness by the blood of Jesus Christ. We are washed and made clean. Yet this cleansing is conditional on WALKING IN THE LIGHT AS HE IS IN THE LIGHT (1Jon 1:7).

The writer of Hebrews also goes on to say...

Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Heb 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
Heb 10:28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
Heb 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

Therefore you cannot enter into this new covenant relationship with God through being sanctified by the blood of Christ and then sin willfully against the grace of God and think you are still covered. No way. The blood IS NOT a cloak for ongoing rebellion. The blood cleanses you of your PAST rebellion.

Rom 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

When Jesus offered Himself spotless to God on behalf of sinners He did not do it so people could keep on sinning. He did it so that in FORSAKING THEIR REBELLION they could be reconciled to God and given a fresh start whereby they could serve God acceptably from a pure heart cleansed from our former dead works.

So Zone, you continue to dance around the scriptures and my posts with your games. Let's see how YOU respond to a simple query. Will you again use misdirection and ad hominem?

Have YOU crucified YOUR FLESH with its passions and desires?

Or...

Do you still YIELD to your passions and desires and serve sin?

Baptism is an outward act testifying of what has already happened WITHIN the heart of the new born believer. Yes have been Baptised.
really? born again before baptized...
when were you born again...
when did you receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, the seal of inheritance.

Matthew 28:19
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit

Acts 2:38
And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 22:16
And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name.’

Galatians 3:27
For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Romans 6:3
Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?

YOU DIDNT DIE WITH CHRIST UNTIL YOU WERE BAPTIZED INTO HIS DEATH.
WHICH MEANS YOU WERENT RAISED WITH HIM IN HIS RESURRECTION UNTIL YOU WERE BURIED WITH HIM.

Baptism is an outward act testifying of what has already happened WITHIN the heart of the new born believer. Yes have been Baptised.
when were you BORN AGAIN..
back later for more on this.

whether or not a born again believer will be conformed to Christ and will be delivered Home.

They sought their righteousness in being a blood descendent of Abraham yet in their DEEDS they denied the FAITH OF ABRAHAM.
Abraham had faith that God would provide His Sacrifice. Abraham had faith that God would work in His Life. Abraham didn't think that he had to prop God up by his own good deeds.

Abraham didn't worry about purifying his heart. He knew God would do it, if God required it.

Abraham didn't worry about ceasing His sin and crucifying his flesh. He had faith in God and that God would do it, if God required it.

That is faith. Believing in God. If God requires it, He leads us to it, and then He provides. That is Grace. Through Faith.

By focusing on all the things you must do you are attempting to prop up God by your deeds. You seek your righteousness by your deeds and in so doing deny the faith of Abraham.

If you didn't seek your righteousness by your deeds you wouldn't stress your deeds so much. You wouldn't be telling the church system that they need to start doing everything that you think is required for salvation.

Yet people dance around this and keep to the oft, "your a Pharisee trying to save yourself by the law." Hogwash!
Are you telling people to come to Christ, or are you telling them all the things they must do to attain salvation?

You can't put it simply because you've talked yourself out of faith and into deeds. You think we must help God save us. You think we have all these deeds we must do whereby we are qualified to be saved. Error... The deeds don't qualify us. They show us how much we fail before Him. We desire to make ourselves perfect before Him but we can't do it.

It all comes back to the simplicity that is in Christ. We have faith in Him. We abide in Him. If He requires it, He will provide it. It is by His power we are Saved. We are foolish and ignorant before Him. He is patient with us and leads us, even through our foolishness and ignorance.

Matthew 5

5 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:

2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,

3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

21 Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:

22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;

24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

25 Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.

26 Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.

27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:

28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:

32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

33 Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:

34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:

35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.

36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.

37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:

39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.

41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.

42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
The Messiah's words give eternal life one believes them and adheres to them for we know they are Heavenly Fathers will.

John 6

From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. 67Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? 68Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. 69And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God. 70Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? 71He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.

The Messiah said:

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Do we believe this or do we use Scripture to counter his instruction?

Galatians 5

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
2Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. 3For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. 4Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. 5For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. 6For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

7Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth? 8This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you. 9A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. 10I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be. 11And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased. 12I would they were even cut off which trouble you.

13For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. 14For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 15But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

16This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 18But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. 19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

25If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
This supports what the Messiah said yet some will tell another they have fallen from grace because of obedience to the 10 Commandments even though they are following the Messiah's instruction.

Please do not think anything written is contrary to the Messiah, always consider it is in support of his words and if you believe otherwise then you have tried to understand the words of the Messiah through the writing of Paul and not the words of the Messiah to understand Paul's writings.

loveme,
does your righteousness exceed that of the Pharisees
are you sure.

is that really what Jesus meant.

Philippians 3
Righteousness Through Faith in Christ

1Finally, my brothers,a rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you is no trouble to me and is safe for you.

2Look out for the dogs, look out for the evildoers, look out for those who mutilate the flesh. 3For we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of Godb and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh— 4though I myself have reason for confidence in the flesh also. If anyone else thinks he has reason for confidence in the flesh, I have more: 5circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the law, a Pharisee; 6as to zeal, a persecutor of the church; as to righteousness under the law,c blameless. 7But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. 8Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ 9and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith— 10that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.

Legalism is putting the law over and against the grace of God. The law has not been given as a provision for when we sin or even to prevent us from sinning, it was given to reveal sin and to make all sin exceedingly sinful in the eyes of God and man. But God's provision for sin came through a sacrifice and the shedding of blood and can only be attained by faith through the mercy and grace of God's Son.

The righteousness that exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees is a righteousness of faith and not according to the deeds of the law. The righteousness that we have been given is one that we must reckon upon by faith and not one we must attain by refraining from sin and rebellion. Christ fulfilled the law and we trust in the righteousness of that fulfillment which was perfect in God's sight. When we reckon upon this righteousness by faith we are turning from the all forms of righteousness according to the deeds of the law and we are justified. This is an inward reckoning and not an outward one. It is based upon the mercy of God through the cross and not the righteousness of the law. You can be a good person and obey the law for your entire life but if you have not reckoned upon the righteousness that was appropriated for you through the cross of Christ, that obedience will not be acceptable to God because it does no have the power of the blood of Christ to justify you. The righteousness of God must be able to justify the sinner by faith who is guilty and when the sinner is justified that righteousness remains with the sinner and is not forfeited or taken away through sin, failure or any transgressions on the sinners part.

Zone, this even goes beyond what you are taught in the Lutheran Church and you should acknowledge it as such and stop playing all these head games with people.

Do you even bother to read what Zone posts in regards to God's righteousness freely given to us by grace thru faith ? Everything you said in your post previous to your pounce, we would all be in agreement on. Zone has never stated anything to the contrary in regards to God's grace. Never. And if this takes on the appearance that I am "defending" her, then good. Because I am. How do you know what is taught in her church, btw ? Give it a rest Red. If you're looking to correct error in this thread, there's much folly available for such a task. And it won't be found in Zone's posts. This extends beyond discernment .... and you should acknowledge that.

Matthew 5

The Messiah's words give eternal life one believes them and adheres to them for we know they are Heavenly Fathers will.

John 6

The Messiah said:

Do we believe this or do we use Scripture to counter his instruction?

Galatians 5

This supports what the Messiah said yet some will tell another they have fallen from grace because of obedience to the 10 Commandments even though they are following the Messiah's instruction.

Please do not think anything written is contrary to the Messiah, always consider it is in support of his words and if you believe otherwise then you have tried to understand the words of the Messiah through the writing of Paul and not the words of the Messiah to understand Paul's writings.
John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Galatians 5:1-5
1Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

Galatians 5:16-18
16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

Most people try to mix Law with Grace. They try to walk by the flesh and the spirit, simultaneously. They think they are following the Lords commands...

If you are going to be perfect in the flesh then obey the Law in your flesh perfectly as the Lord has magnified them in Matthew 5.

When you get tired of that yoke of bondage, if indeed you ever do, come to the Lord Jesus and He will show you a better Way.

If you know the better Way that Jesus has given us why would you teach people that its ok to go back to the flesh? Lack of wisdom and understanding I suppose...

Birds of a feather... at least I got a wave from her and that was positive. Should I also be waiting for that false rapture in the sky that ...who is it that will be projecting that? Tell us Zone.

Come let us reason together. You don't seem to be your all out zealous self with all your zealot conclusions about eschatology, especially about the false rapture that is going to take place that will deceive many, including the pre-trib believers of the church who according to the doctrine of the 'amillennialist' has been ordained by God to pass through and be part of the great tribulation. Remember you have told and warned us in the past that the deception Paul referred to concerning believers falling into this false doctrine of the pre-trib day of the Lord has come to past in (2Thes 2). It is not like you to be low key about all this. It is fine for you to let us know what you believe but to criticize others in doing that, you have a weakness there and should stay away from that. Tell us your beliefs if they are still the same, for why should you be ashamed of the truth you believe to have from the Lord through the countless hours of study.

As far as unclefester, Grandpa and any others out there that are inclined to come to Zone's defense, let her be an individual believer-priest and stand on her own two feet. BTW - We are not our brother's keeper, not matter what you think of that. Cain made the statement but we all stand or fall as individuals before the living God. Zone is not innocent but is consider by many as an adult child of God, so let her be one and stay out of it. I just want to hear what she has to say and then we can discuss each point one by one as individual believer-priests. Do you remember what Jesus said to Peter when he inquired about what John would be doing (Jn 21:21,22)?
