I really wish I could. I would love to visit that era.
We had three TV channels, CBS, NBC, and ABC. (There was no cable TV or satellite TV. That was years away.) ABC was fuzzy. Color TV was new. More and more TV shows were being done in color. I remember our first color TV set.

Good communication is listening.

Bad communication is talking over people or as someone stated earlier...pretending to listen as you plan what you will say next.

I like being able to download and listen to audio sermons on all verses of the Bible.

I don't think communication between God and man has really changed, so I don't see how modern technology changes our biblical world view.
I agree, it hasn't changed between God and man. It has been and will always be via prayer (hearing, speaking - communion), reading the word of God (seeing, heart receiving), God speaking through His creation. But though, I look forward to the Day when communication will be forever heavenly. I'm not sure what that will be but I think it will involve us all being one and in unison as one body, perfect harmony. (Revelation ch. 21)

When I said biblical worldview I was talking about how the age that we're living in is reflective of the last day prophecies. I believe we've hit a tipping point in communication and it is virtually changing human interaction. One good point is that information can instantly be exchanged far and wide. One bad point is that people are loosing their humanity. We have to be in each other's presence to truly engage and develop intimacy, so when a computer or smartphone or just any communication device becomes the standard of how we interact, we can loose touch and become dehumanized.

This was probably all that we needed. We've definitely overdone it as a society.

On forums you also need to listen to the Lord sometimes.
Once on another forum there was a lighthearted thread about is 40 old? So we were all joking around. No that's a younger juvenile. I posted some pics too. All of a sudden one guy got mad. And you christians blablabla that's why I hate you. It made no sense at all. It wasn't in any way offensive those pics. He got mad at me. I was childish and I dunno what.
Lol but he was 3 years younger than me so I said what you want you youngster? You should have respect for my grey hair.
Then God said: No, remove it and say sorry to him. So I genuinely did and removed the text and all the pics for him.
He pm'd me. Still angry. I was not a christian because I got saved when I asked God for signs. He had done a suicide attempt. I said oh me too, that's why I like to make fun.
Had a good talk, then he said sorry it was his fault. I did nothing wrong. He just had brain damage. I was so glad I listened.
So if anyone here is offended by my posts I'm terribly sorry. Can't remove em here though.
I wasn't offended but I appreciate and accept your apology coby.

I've recently rediscovered the beauty of a simple AM radio. There's no monthly fee, it runs on AC or DC, the news is just as immediate as you would find on the internet, the night time programming is entertaining and Big Brother has no idea I'm listening.
