You are soo blinded by your own view of your self-righteousness. No one is saying don't teach abstinence. Abstinence is good. We get it.

BUT NOT EVERYONE IS CHRISTIAN. HAVE YOU EVER NOTICED WHEN YOU TRY TO FORCE YOUR BELIEFS ON PEOPLE IT BACKFIRES? ESPECIALLY PEOPLE WHO DON"T CARE??

you can't just ignore the problems in this world because they dont agree with your opinions. You arrogance is sickening. You are the type of person that chased me away from God when I first became a Christian. Luckily Im stronger now and can stand against your self-righteousness and extremist viewpoints.

My mom talked about this yesterday in Sunday School. She pointed out how we are the salt of the earth, but not everyone is a fan of salt. Have you ever bitten into food that had too much salt on it, and you face kinda wrinkled up in disgust? That is how it is for some nonChristians when they hear the word of God. They can't handle our salt. It is not flavorful, but disgusting to them. Some people can take a little salt, some people can take a medium amount of salt, and some people love salt. As such, you have to treat each nonChristian accordingly. If the nonChristian doesn't want to hear about God, we should not force it on them. They will only be repulsed, and shy from Christianity.

Trying to teach Christian beliefs to nonChristians who do not have the same moral standard as we do is like forcing spoonfuls of salt into their mouths. It will disgust them, and turn them away from ever reaching out to God.

Thats kind of my point...we have to accept te fact that some wont listen...But we should provide them with information on alternatives to abstinenve if that is their desire. If im telling someone you should be abstinent until marriage and they are like HAHA yeah right seriously, some real advice? Then i would tell them condoms are the next best thing. Not equal, but the next best. Not telling this to people is hateful.

How many of you think the schools should include condoms in sex education or should it be abstinence only?

schools are being realistic. I mean I'm sure schools would love for abstinence all the way, but teens are going to abstain so they are trying to prevent teen pregnancy.

As a tennager i think that they should teach abstinence just because God teach us to be pure until marriage, but in this day and time most teens do not wait they have sex with someone that they will most likely not marry. I myself would mostly like to be tought abstinence.

I have nothing against teaching abstinece , I just think schools should also teach about condoms, if Christians are so against abortion I'd think they would at least talk about condoms, learning about condoms and how to properly use them could really cut down on "whoopsie babies"

Not having sex at all before marriage would entirely prevent it. If you don't want to get pregnant, don't have sex.

yeah kids are going sleep together whether you teach only abstinence or not. Might as well try to lower the number of abortions by letting them know about condoms.

But some people dont use common sense.

That's great. but thinking in black and white doesn't always work. if you want more abortions in the world, then by all means, don't teach anyone about birth control

also, they should also teach birth control because, just because your married, doesn't mean you want to pop one out right away. So informing people about these things is a good idea.

Or... here's lateral thinking for you...

WE COULD MAKE ABORTIONS ILLEGAL... problem solved. (I know it doesn't solve the problem- before you respond with a million ifs and buts)

Just throwing that out there. :)

I'm not for making abortion illegal, I don't agree with using it as birth control. But illegal? No.

So not only do you believe we should be passing condoms out to school kids, but you think murdering babies should be legal

There would be a lot less teen pregnancies if they taught kids about condoms AND abstaining.

There are cases were an abortion isnt okay, but it is needed

ectopic pregnancy for example. If both mother and baby are going to die, and you can't save the baby, why take two lives?

thats an interesting topic...if either the mother or baby would which do you pick? If its my wife...we can make another baby. I dont want to be spending x years finding a new wife So the abortion thing does have issues beyond legal or not.
