There have been some on here claiming to be Southern Baptist promoting TULIP.
I just was made to understand that TULIP is a Reformed Doctrine.
Are you saying that your Southern Baptist Church does not preach TULIP or 5 Doctrines of Grace?
Hey...don't knock success. Don't you know this is what Presbyterians do: We befriend and infiltrate SBC ranks and spread the real gospel?

For you info, there is a large SBC church just several miles from where I live; and it's very reformed. They hold to the Doctrines of Grace and to New Covenant Theology. Not all member churches of any particular denomination march to drum beat of that denomination. Apparently, you haven't been keeping up with what has been going on with the UMC denomination? Many local congregations are leaving!

Interesting!

I was merely going by what BillyBob was saying. But good to see you have confirmed what I knew all along (y)

You said: "In our last chapter we considered at some length, the much debated and difficult question of the human will. We have shown that the will of the natural man is neither sovereign nor free—but, instead, a servant and slave. We have argued that a right conception of the sinner's will—its servitude—is essential to a just estimate of his depravity and ruin."

My response is:

The following treatise beyond this intro seems to rely upon assuming the above claims about the will and slavery. The foundation of the following treatise is not agreed upon. No one who disagrees with the foundation Pink has laid is going to agree with ideas he is about to build upon them unless the foundation is first proven to be biblically solid; which it is not.
I cannot locate online that "last chapter" of his. Wish I could. I would have to dig out his book and find it. But I don't have that time. Nonetheless, if you weren't so fearful of the truth, you could for the sake of Pink's argument, assume his foundation is right and proceed to read what I posted and judge the contents of that part of his treatise. After all, a chain is only as strong as its weakest link, so you should be able to find lots of weak links within the four series of questions he addresses. Be a brave soul and go for it. God is never pleased with a coward.

But yet, God did this to many men:

27 Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed.
28 They did what your power and will had decided beforehand should happen.

Herod
Pilate
Gentiles
People of Israel
ALL conspired against Jesus
They did what your power and will had decided beforehand should happen
God limited the possible ways these people would express their own wills toward Christ in such a way that Jesus was crucified according to His predictions. prohorizO primary meaning is to limit beforehand. God predestines by limiting mens options and manipulating circumstances around them so that the way they carry out their own wills/desires is done in the limited prescribed way. Their wills are not unilaterally swapped for different wills.

Pilate wanted to release Jesus. God allowed demons to whip up the crowd and leaders so that Pilate carried out His will to acquit Jesus by washing his hands, and to carry out his will to avoid a riot by sending Jesus to the cross.

Well...it certainly confirms what I have long known: God works in mysterious ways.
I felt I was being played but I went along with it because I was trying to trust what I was being told. But I know my own friends still are Reformed but maybe something drastically changed I was unaware about.

I am confident that saints will be able to want whatever they want to want in the age to come and beyond. Keep in mind that the cross is a perpetual sacrifice. It avails forever under the terms of an endless covenant..
No, the saints in eternity will not be able to sin. The saints will be just like Christ morally/spiritually All sin, the presence and power of it, at the end of the age will be abolished forever. And that's when all the saints will be eternally set free to love, worship and serve God in perfect holiness.

The fact is Jesus came to DIE.
He came to be MURDERED.
It was Planned.
It was God's Will.
And no matter what it was going to happen.
God's Plan was successful because Jesus was Killed.

Give chapters and verses to your above claims, please.
Exodus 32:10 "Now leave me alone so that my anger may burn against them and that I may destroy them. Then I will make you into a great nation."

Jnah 3:4

And Jonah began to enter into the city a day’s journey, and he cried and said, “Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.”

"Stealth Calvinism." Lyingly hiding or denying their calvinist doctrine to get pastorates and then after appointment indoctrinating the church towards full calvinism.

Assume a lie is right when I know it is not? What kind of monkey wisdom is that.

Maybe, maybe not. If they do stumble, the cross is a perpetual sacrifice under the terms of and endless covenant. So all contingencies are covered.

You are accusing God, who Inspired Paul to call His Own creation of mankind His Offspring, to be charged with sending the majority of them to Hell. You much rather take that position over that Jesus was a special occasion. You tell on yourself all of the time.
I've explained Acts 17 in the past. It's not. saying what you think it is. Paul was merely capitalizing on pagan poets' idea, and used to preach the gospel. If God is the Father of all in the human race, in the distributive, then how could the Pharisees also have the devil for their father? They had two fathers, did they? Or how did Adam become a seed of the Serpent for that matter?

There is no maybe about. Read Revelations someday.

P.S. If there is sin in the eternal kingdom, then God's intentions would have been thwarted. For his will is that all be perfectly conformed to the image of Christ.

Only 1 portion was of the poet.
One verse.
