In conversations with you I am prone to agree.
Same here, it was a simple misunderstanding, I have an habit of extreme succinctness, which can be misconstrued.
Isa. 42:6- “I am the Lord. I have called you for a righteous purpose, and I will hold you by your hand. I will watch over you, and I will appoint you to be a covenant for the people and a light to the nations,

You got your thing down well...

Now, if we could just progress in better understanding truth.
Here's some truth I learned about you:

1. You will address someone.
2. You will misconstrue their words.
3. You will denigrate them.
4. You will ascribe their supposed lack of understanding to having poor teachers.
5. You will lament to another about that someone.

Guess which number you are on?

Yeah...loving your enemies is piece of cake. Just as easy as not repaying evil for evil. Or just as easy as obeying the "golden rule". Just as easy as turning the other cheek, etc.
its very possible with the Holy Spirit when you deny yourself and listen to him!!

cmon brothers, we are all here because we love Jesus.
lets take Pauls advice.

Tit 3:9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

Anybody....

QUESTION:

Other than simply labelling it as sin?
What is unbelief?
What does it accomplish, and what does it take to do?
...........

Where does scripture list unbelief as a sin?
I mean the unbelieving is put in the same place as murders, you don't think its a sin ?

Revelation 21:8
But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.

If you do not believe a lie?
Is that also a sin?
No...
Therefore, unbelief, in itself, is not a sin.

When unbelief is called 'sin', what sins were taking place as to be able to make it a sin?

grace and peace ..............

ofcourse not :)
Unbelief in the Bible is about unbelief in God, which is a sin, as it says in revelation the unbelieving will have a part in the lake of fire.
that's it brother.
no need to discuss it deeper, at least i won't, i gave my 2 cents.

God bless you all, may Jesus be with you always!

I was simply trying to ask you brothers to avoid it becoming heated, that's all, because i saw some hints of passive aggression. maybe i was wrong, but i wanna strive for peace always, and i hope you all do to.

God bless you Cameron, i hope you had a nice day!

Sometimes, challenging others to think beyond what they wish to remain comfortable with
can cause strife in those who wish not to be bothered.

If anything? ... complacency is a sin.

Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments,
because you know they produce quarrels. 2 Timothy 2:23

What I presented was not a foolish nor stupid question on my part.
It was a desire to make another think beyond offering routine, pat answers.
It's what politicians do when not answering a question with what only seems to be an answer.

My question was not stupid, nor foolish.

We, as Christians, should learn to be able to grow in knowledge, as to explain with better understanding beyond pat answers.

I was not upset, either. :)

Sometimes I would nudge my brother to answer a question better than he had.

in fact this is the last i wanna say for this one, i felt in the Spirit to write this.
this is not meant for anyone personally, but as a ''I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness''
because i see in this site, and youtube, and other platforms where brothers and sister, get heated and even get mad at each other, some directly some passively.

its just an encouragement , if you can use something of it, then Hallelujah.

Romans 12:18
If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

Hebrews 12:14
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

Paul wants us to seek peace with all men, that means unbelievers too, when you seek peace, you don't try to belittle someone, passively or directly, you try to avoid anything that can cause a problem, even if it means you stop completely.
many times people think passive aggression is okay but it isn't, its actually worse, its like you are deceiving the other person.

Thats why Paul says to avoid strifes and debates, and tumults that comes from questions or answers that doesn't produce good fruit, or peace but strifes.

2 Corinthians 12:20
For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:

1 Timothy 6:4
He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

2 Timothy 2:23
But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.

So.

1. peace and love is before all things, if you can avoid strifes and heated arguments and debates you should, even if it means you didn't get to finish the conversation. a good relationship with brethren is more important than being right.

we need to pray for others, because in the end The Holy Spirit will lead everyone to the truth.

Rom 14:1 As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions.

Rom 14:13 Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother.

Rom 14:15 For if your brother is grieved by what you eat, you are no longer walking in love. By what you eat, do not destroy the one for whom Christ died.

Rom 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

So that means if you can avoid a brother or sister to stumble because your opinion is different you should do it, otherwise you are not walking in love anymore, in the case represented above its above food, but it can be applied to anything, Peace and Joy in the Holy Spirit is the most important, and with that no quarrelling or heated arguments or even passive aggression will present itself, but peace and love.

Rom 14:5 One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.

MAY OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST BE WITH YOU ALWAYS AMEN!

Roman 4:4
Now to him that worketh, the reward is not reckoned according to grace, but according to debt.
Romans 4:5
However, to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness.

May I suggest you shut down all Christian forums then?

When it comes to debating over doctrine?
There must be what we see until it's resolved.
"As iron sharpens iron,
so one person sharpens his friend."
Proverbs 27:17
When iron sharpens iron? You get what?

Iron sharpens iron through friction, heat, and sparks that are created when two iron blades rub together.
This process makes the edges of the blades sharper, making them more efficient for cutting and slicing.

You must naturally be a nice, sweet person.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.
The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary,
they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments
and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God,
and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

When the military is in training, civilians should not be bystanders, freely offering their critique.
They are not being trained for the task.

Our learning process for thinking doctrine is deeply involved with resistance from demonic, merciless pressure to not take the truth too seriously. Good intentions and human nicety will not make you free from the oppression it demands upon believers to conform
to anything but the truth.

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction,
and many enter through it. Because the gate is narrow and narrow/difficult is 'the way' that leads to
life, and there are few who find it."
Matthew 7:13-14

If you want to secure for yourself the "life more abundantly" that Jesus spoke of? You will have to endure for thbe time required of God the pressurized narrow way, until it leads you to the inner peace and happiness you will find yourself having, without trying to convince yourself that you are happy! It becomes self sustaining.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

John 10:10

Few believers out of many believers end up finding that life.

Because the gate is narrow and narrow/difficult is 'the way' that leads to life, and there are few who find it."

That's why its a fight.

Fighting the good fight...

Iron sharpens iron...
