They do understand the scripture they quote. Just not the doctrine you follow.

They do NOT WORK at the law as you put it. (all about the doctrine you hold fast to, not the Word of God) Less sin is committed by keeping His commandments, something YOU think of as WORK.

2 Corinthians 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
2 Corinthians 5:9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

They keep the commandments of God, AS GOD TELLS US TO
John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

YOU put anyone who "tries" not only as a breaker of the commandments but as someone who has "not come to Christ". (judge much?)
Christ set us free FROM the death and penalty and the ordinances OF THE LAW,
NOT THE WORKS OF GOD.

But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected hereby know we that we are in him.
He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

AND How did Christ walk? Did He follow the law? Do you think is was "work" for Him to do so or do you think it was just a very natural state of His being? Well, it isn't natural for us is it? We have to crucify the flesh everyday, don't we?
of course Christ followed the Law, he was born a jewish man, born under the Law.

I have not checked into this thread for a while, are you STILL spreading the lie that the Law is in parts?

Here's the thing Deighann.
They teach that in their performing the 2nd of the 2 commandments Jesus gave; The loving your neighbor as yourself?
Somehow, exempts them, or are blinded, or are, are have become willingly ignorant from loving the Lord their God, with all their hearts, and all their minds and all their souls, with all their strength.

To the extent, that when any/EVERYone, who comes along trying to provide "insight", as to what's it's like to love the Lord their God? WHACK-A-MO! WHACK-A-MO!
How so very spiritually immature!
How so very "pagan-esque!"

1 Corinthians 12
17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

WHACK-A-MO!

Which gives cause, and justifiably so, in begging the question: "If these so called "members of the body of Christ, don't, or won't recognize "other" members of the body of Christ?"
"Just WHO'S body are "THEY" of?":cry:

we are of the body of believing on Jesus for salvation.

you are in the body of keeping the Law, the jewish Sabbath , for salvation,

No? I am in the body of Christ that loves the Lord my God with all my heart, and all my soul, and all my mind, with all my strength.

Not for salvation!
For spiritual maturity, also called "perfection", in the N.T. But, "that" requires moving beyond the principle doctrines of Christ. Which also includes leaning not on your own, nor anyone elses "understanding."

Which would require taking all those traditions/precepts of men preconceived ideas of Judeizing, or legalism, or sinless perfection, and tossing them into the bottomless pit where they belong.

No you don’t

you love your righteousness. You live how good you THINK you are. You hate those who place their faith in Christ, who understand we are obedient because we are saved, because we learn to love as Christ loved.of which you just mocked,

the law condemns you where you stand, one day I pray you realize this and stop thinking your funny by the things you do to try to make yourself look good

Yer right EG!
I do hate those who place their faith in the false Christ! aka the spirit of anti-christ!

The law does not condemn me! I enjoy keeping the law.

I also do not allow blind love to keep me in a "bubble of illusion."

Far as "looking" good? I'm not "good" at all!

I'm at war constantly with my members, as Paul would say!

I can "tell" you there's a huge difference from loving your neighbor as yourself, and loving the Lord your God with all yer mind, soul, heart, and strength. But, I can't "make" you nor anyone else do it!
That's something only you can do!
I can do it for myself!
I can't do it FOR ya!
Jesus' being sent was the "start!"
NOT the finish!

Law then do we nullify through faith? Never may it be! Instead Law, we uphold

It isn't about where you are and how you got there, what Nayborbear is trying to open up is "Where do we go from there?". But we can't get past that because of your feeling about Gods Law and how YOU, eternally grateful puts a stop to it everytime.

Does loving God condemn you? Does loving thy neighbor as thyself condemn you?

They are COMMANDMENTS. They are GODS LAWS. Does being obedient having been saved condemn you?

You, yourself, CHOOSE what laws YOU LIKE and don't condemn, and take the rest and say they do, so THEY BEST DO IT TO EVERYONE.

And God forbid if ANYONE else doesn't feel the same CONDEMNATION you do from them. You can't imagine loving all of Gods Laws, can you?

Why is it you don't like righteousness? or do you just not like seeing it in Nayborbear? And what makes you think he hates those with faith in Christ? He actually loves those with faith in Christ to the point of persecution because of trying to get them to KEEP PROGRESSING IN THE WORD OF GOD.

He is trying to make others, not only realize that "GLORY TO GOD WE ARE SAVED AND LOVE THE LORD", BUT it

IS JUST THE BEGINNING OF BEING A SERVANT FOR GOD AND THE WORD HAS MANY MORE SUCH "GLORY TO GOD" MOMENTS FOR THEM IF THEY WOULD JUST START MOVING FORWARD and it is important TO GOD that we do so especially in these end times.

Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Matthew 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.

Matthew 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Matthew 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Unless your perfect you do not keep the law

i have shown you this so many times

moses first made Isreal confirm this

moses confirmed it in gal 3

and James said even if you were perfect. But fail just once, your guilty

how you can continue to deny this and think you obey the law is one of my greatest concerns.

and also, as I have asked the judeaizers multiple times , with no real response, - why can't we follow the N.T. instructions as to what Christ followers are to do and not do??

got no answer, but it could have something to do with this- the center of most every judeaizing theology is Sabbath keeping.

since their is no N.T. command for Christ followers, especially gentiles, to keep it, that could be why they insist that the O.T. HAS to be used.

This is what Christ taught:

Matt 5:18For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Law Zelots don't keep the whole law of Moses; they have done away with many of the 613 Mitzvot. Not even religious Jews keep the whole Law and this means ALL has already been accomplished.

Well? You just keep on being the way you love being, and teach others to do the same as you.

Don't bother heeding my warnings, on that which is coming. Cuz, it is coming!

You have "no worries" concerning the 2nd death right?

Then, you will have a thousand years with the rod of iron to direct ya, and "spank" ya when ya go wrong.

Should be easy enough though, eh? The "son of perdition" will have been "locked up!" Should be a "cake walk" for ya then, right?

Just as it is for ya now! Right?

After all, you really don't need those parts of your mind, heart, soul, spirit, that are currently incarcerated, right?
Matthew 5
25 Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.
26 Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.

Pay no attention to those going through this process NOW!:
Revelation 20:6

Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

What do these guys know?

After all your going to be priests reigning with Jesus and God!.....Right?

We all keep the law, only that some are in denial which makes them hypocrites.

For example:

Are you faithful to your wife? If yes, then you are a true law keeper and a law zealot yourself. Being faithful to ones husband or wife is precisely keeping the law of Moses.

Rom 7:1Do you not know, brothers and sisters—for I am speaking to those who know the law—that the law has authority over someone only as long as that person lives? 2For example, by law a married woman is bound to her husband as long as he is alive, but if her husband dies, she is released from the law that binds her to him. 3So then, if she has sexual relations with another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is released from that law and is not an adulteress if she marries another man.

Go ahead, keep on condemning those who even try to love the Lord their God with all their hearts, and all their souls, and all their minds, with all their strength!

Do you NOT understand WHAT Jesus accomplished? Do you know we are all sinners? Do you know sin is transgression of the Law? Do you know the blood of Christ, through repentance on our part AFFORDS us FORGIVENESS FOR SIN?

If there is NO LAW, there is NO SIN. We do not get to "get rid of the law in our lives and become sinless". That is not the way God lays it out. If it was we would not be told to "keep my commandments", law.

YES, breaking the law, AKA sinning, you lose your perfect standing, and the ability for God to hear you. Acknowledgement of the breaking of Gods law, some self reflection, a change of heart and a desire to be more holy, to walk more like our example, Christ, to bring God pleasure, to be obedient to HIS way and not the flesh, we come to repentance, a change of our inner man, and that breaking of the law is forgiven and we are perfected again through Christs willing sacrifice of his life in which He paid the penalty for that sin repented of at which point our sin is forgiven, we are washed clean, and once again able to go into the Holy of Holies and talk to God.

Help (a masculine noun derived from 40 holy-sanctification (the process of advancing in holiness) use of the believer being progressively transformed by the Lord into His likeness (similarity of nature)

Strong
From hagiazo; properly, purification, i.e. (the state) purity; concretely (by Hebraism) a purifier -- holiness, sanctification

1 Peter 1:2 according to [the] foreknowledge of God [the] Father, by sanctification of [the] Spirit unto [the] obedience and sprinkling of [the] blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace may be multiplied.

We are to COME to God. We are to CHOSE life. We are to ACCEPT Christ. We are to be BAPTIZED. When we DO, we are accepted of God and received "the Comforter", who leads and guides us in the TRUTHS of Gods Word and Ways. We are to KEEP His commandments. We are to REPENT. We are to ASK FOR FORGIVENESS. We are to LOVE God with all our strength and heart and mind. We are to STUDY to show ourselves approved. We are to INCREASE and to GROW in His wisdom and knowledge. We are to SEED PLANT. We are to WALK in His ways. We are to be OBEDIENT. We are to PRAY. We are to REMIND HIM of His promises. We are to GO TEACH BAPTIZE. We are to CRUCIIFY the flesh daily. We are to be SERVANTS. We are to be RIGHTEOUS.

For the PURPOSE OF SALVATION we are THROUGH CHRIST JESUS gifted righteousness before God, sanctified, justified but OUR WALK FOR GOD once that has been accomplished, isn't accepted by God through OUR own thoughts. It doesn't come through OUR knowledge. It doesn't come through OUR wisdom. It doesn't come through OUR ways. BUT IT DOES COME through OUR EFFORTS.

We are to seek out His knowledge and wisdom and laws so that WHEN we get to leave this flesh and stand before Him, we have loved Him with all that we are, and we have disciplined ourselves to be not JUST someone who He loves, but SOMEONE HE CAN USE and He knows we will do what ever we do HIS WAY because HIS WAYS HAVE BECOME OURS.

You tell me. Two people arrive in heaven. Both of them have loved God. One has gone out and loved God and loved his neighbor and done right, helping the lost of this world find Christ and doing good works in the world. The other, has loved God and loved his neighbor but has seeked out Gods laws, wisdom and knowledge, ensuring the "doing right" was not what his little flesh thought was right but WHAT God WROTE, instructing that servant as to what WAS RIGHT to HIM, and then that servant went about spreading GODS Ways.

Now the flesh life has ended for those two above.

So standing before God is the one who heard the truth and with that through Grace found faith accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour and has been made righteous, been justified, and went through the rest of their life walking in where the Spirit led them, never acknowledging past that love the other written laws of God but loving God and loving neighbor, "love" covering all of that stuff and are saved.

Next to him stands one who, with all the same coming to the Lord, HEARD a different truth. This one loved God and his neighbor but when he read "Study", the Spirit he received led him to do just that. And he learned and took to heart all the wisdom and knowledge and laws of God and applied those to his life and to his neighbors. He taught that the laws of God were to be followed and taught.

NOW COMES the millennium. The flesh age has ended.

Revelation 20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Revelation 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

The first resurrection is of souls beheaded for the witness of Jesus and word of God, AND those who DIDN'T TAKE THE MARK OF THE BEAST.
The "dead", those who do not "live" again until the end of the 1000 yrs, are those who did take the mark, were deceived, Why don't they "live" until the end of the 1000 yrs? Because just like the 1st resurrection went through the temptation of Satan, these "dead", (spiritually dead), to receive their "eternal" life, must not be deceived when Satan is loosed again. Hopefully after 1000 yrs of learning Gods Truth they will make it and not end up in the lake of fire.

Revelation 14:1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.
Revelation 14:2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:
Revelation 14:3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
Revelation 14:4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
Revelation 14:5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

Revelation 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

This is what will be happening on the Lords Day.

So back to the two people standing before God.

You are filling "positions" for the millennium. You will have priests that approach the Lord and priests who only approach the people.

Who do you chose to do what?

The one who considers themselves a gentile who become a Christian through grace and faith is saved and satisfied, believing they couldn't follow the law perfectly so "walked in love" like Christ, and taught others that was the way of God.

The one who considers themselves "one of the scattered sheep" who once saved, walk in love of the Word and also dedicate themselves to study, to learn ALL of Gods laws and disciplining themselves in walking according to them, His laws having become their laws to the point them becoming their laws having found in them the wisdom and joy of them and the Word also removing all condemnation of them, teaching others ALL of Gods Word, and forgiveness of sin through the blood of Christ.

I understand what he accomplished

I also understand what the law accomplished (it led me to what jesus accomplished)

It did that. Because it condemned me. Because unless I am perfect. The law condemns me where I stand

What saddens me, is you still do not understand the purpose of the law
