Backsliding is possible, the scriptures can not be more clear. Read hebrews 10:19-38..

I hope this isn't debate. lol jk but check this out! :D

the Bible makes it clear that God is holy and man is sinful, and that sin makes a separation between the two (Isaiah 59:1,2). Without repentance from sin, wicked men cannot have fellowship with a holy God. We are dead in our trespasses and sins (Ephes.2:1) and until we forsake them through repentance, we cannot be made alive in Christ. The Scriptures speak of "repentance unto life" (Acts 11:18). We turn from sin to the Savior. This is why Paul preached "repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ" (Acts 20:21).
The first public word Jesus preached was "repent" (Matt 4:17). John the Baptist began his ministry the same way (Matt 3:2). Jesus told His hearers that without repentance, they would perish (Luke 13:3). If belief is all that is necessary for salvation, then the logical conclusion is that one need never repent. However, the Bible tells us that a false convert "believes" and yet is not saved (Luke 8:13); he remains a "worker of iniquity." Look at the warning of Scripture: "If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in the darkness, we lie, and do not the truth" (1 John 1:6). The Scriptures also say, "He that covers his sins shall not prosper, but whoso confesses and forsakes them (repentance) shall have mercy" (Proverbs 28:13). Jesus said that there was joy in heaven over one sinner who "repents" (Luke 15:10).
*Found that from a website, while i was looking for some answers.

-------so bottom line, after salvation, when you commit a sin and will not repent, you will go to hell.

Just wanted to share before someone closes this thread. jk =P

Better to say yes they go to hell, than not, otherwise a person might start to think that suicide is an easy way out rather than find help.

They do go i can say!!!
If a person is born again, God cant save you and loose you tomorow, otherwise he never saved you in the begining.
what makes somebody commit suicide?
You might be out of your mind ( and most of them are that way before they do it)
The devil attacks your mind and the way we even think wrong or get a disease like maralia is the same way the attack attacks our mind and we go insane.
But what mind is how your SOUL is before the devil interfere with your thinking.
i will say this "A

I will say this " A HOLY SPIRIT FILLED CHRISTIAN CAN LOOSE HIS/HER MIND" that doesnt interfere with her/his salvation.

It is just one part of their whole life, God will review the whole life not just how it ended and also knows the heart of anyone in that situation. Remember it's not until the resurrection and judgement they are judged.

I watched the making of the movie braveheart and Mel Gibson being the director as well as the main character went through the hanging scene literally. He said no one knew it but when they hung him he actually did loose conscientiousness and said so for any of you who know someone who may hanged , they are not dead immediately.
In my opinion, repentance is more than just spoken words but a condition of the heart. If you are truly repentant and cry out to God in this life, whatever your physical condition may be (short of death), I believe God will hear your cry. However, why risk waiting until the last second?

..you should read more carefully corinthians.
murderers? present or a murderer that is a murderer till the end?(in his heart forever?)
adulterers? present or an adulterer that commits adultery till the end?(in his heart forever?)
and so on with the rest of the sins...

even like this i cannot know the criteria of God for choosing persons into heaven.
one thing is for sure:
it's written that all sins are forgiveable, only the one that is blasphemy towards the Holy Ghost.
the first part of my comment, it's just because whats the definition of a murderer in that particular verse?

i'll analyze just the particular word: murderer.
is it a past murderer or murderer till the end of his soul?(by this i mean: when christ ressurects, he still has "desire" to kill).
well if when christ comes he's still murderer, well in heaven there won't be any murderers.

.. you all shouldn

and... i don't know if you ever thought about this, but i have came with a conclusion to me:
if someday i'll find any contradiction in the bible i'll desbielif her(the bible). so how can you that say that suicide is a motive for exclusiion to heaven if there's the other verse that says that all sins are forgiveable? -minus the one that is blasphemy agains the Holy Ghost)-
isn't that contradiction?
well i still think that suicide is not a motive for exclusion. nor that there's contradictions in the bible.

I'm so glad this thread is here, though I'm not sure it's been any consolation...

A couple of years ago, the man who was the youth minister at the church I grew up going to committed suicide. He was a friend, and teacher, and very good at what he did. He also was the one I asked to baptize me, rather than our regular preacher.

I had been out of that youth group, out of that town, even, for a couple of years when I found out what he'd done.

It still confuses me, and worries me. I've found so few answers on my own, and less from asking other people.:(
