here's something you might have not understand:
Laws like the ten commandements and so on, are for us INDIVIDUALLY, not for us to use against one another.

There are some great post here about suicide, but what if that Christian had a mental sickness or defect? Is it not possible for a christian to go to heaven after suicide, I believe it is but I think its only a slim margine of those who commit suicide that actually make it in. Yet, then again we can all try and guess what God would do or how he would rule its not up to us or how we believe!

I know this is different as well but Jesus was asked about judas after the resurection about where Judas was Heaven or hell and he said Judas was in his place........ I dont rememer exactly so forgive me for paraphrasing

I would hate to say who is and who isn't going to hell. It isn't for me to know the Fathers plan or how my Master and Savior will judge, only that it will be just. My only concern is that of all the horrible sins I have commited against my Savior that he knows I do regret and repent and ask forgiveness completely. Also, that I strive to be closer and more Christ like everyday.

I dont think anyone who committs suicide will go to heaven. our body belongs to god eventhough at times we think not. we become absorbed in our problems and think that ending our life is the solution. everyone has problems if i told u my problems u would think i should have died long time ago. keep trusting the lord in all ur ways and he will make ur paths straight. he knows us more than we can ever imagine, nothing is hidden from him and nothing will be. just rely on not ur own understanding but have faith in jesus and do according to his will u will be rewarded in this life and in eternity
DONT SUICIDE ITS SATAN ATTACK RESIST HIM AND HE WILL FLEE

ABing thanks for backing me up on that verse I just couldnt remember for the life of me where we read that. It was Peter who was asked after they where trying to find a new desciple in Acts 1:25 That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place. Some refer to this as hell but the bible is not real clear exactly where Judas went after he commited Suicide.

i used to struggle with depression and suicide, and when you are happy; why would you want to kill yourself?
you wouldnt. you dont think about it. but when you have the spirit of depression, anger, mutilation, ect
around you, that is when you want to hurt yourself.

i do not believe that people who commit suicide go to heaven. they are struggling with something in their lives
that is temporary, and suicide is forever. life can be really hard at times. but thats when we need to let god
show us his love and not rely on people, because people will hurt you and fail you time and time again.
but god is perfect, so let him be your lover, father, best friend and let HIM guide you.

A "Christian" killing themself wouldn't likely to be a Genuine Christian in the first place. We're supposed to trust Jesus and endure until the end. Of course the end isn't when we decide. Also, to be blunt about it...there is a hell. It certianly isn't here on the earth's surface. It is far far unimaginably worse. So, whoever has a problem, it can be solved rather than spending an eternity in hell. I'm not saying their stories are true, I don't know, but google: Bill Weise , and then google Mary K. Baxter. They're just terrible stories. Nothing is worth suicide. nothing. I"m sure everyone has had the thought at one time or another come across their minds. I'll also give you a tip from my experience, most of the times I would say it's demons putting the thoughts in the persons head. I've seen demons first hand and they are totally real. It's not a figure of speech as some people make it sound. NO, they are real entities. I was able to cast them out by 'pleading the blood of Jesus'. I asked Jesus to cover my house, property, myself, inside me, EVERYWHERE I GO with his blood. The attacks have stopped for the most part, Praise Jesus! Amen!

I dont think you have the right to say who is a "Genuine" Christian. my dear friends dad suffered from bipolar and killed his wife and himself after living a God fearing Holy spirit filled life... it just takes a second. In prayer for his children and worrying about their faith... the words "nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus not even mental illness" this came to me in prayer and it is my belief that he is with our Heavenly Father. I agree it would have been better if he could have overcome this desperate fall into the pit of desolution... but he didnt. I think its up to God to judge.

C'mon dude. You got some support for that? Any support, any at all? Cause I'm about thiiiiiiiiiiiiiis sure that there's not nearly enough, if any, to support a heavy handed assertion like that.

Contrary to popular belief, Judas didn't become the son of pertition for betraying Jesus, for he was forgiven, but then he killed himself which is suicide: Do read Zecariah 11:12-13. Then take a close look at Mt. 27:3-4, and U will see there are two acts of repentance; one to Jesus after Judas saw that he was condemned (Zec. 11:12-13), and the other before the priests and elders. Pray for understanding and read carefully.

To those saying that suicide will be forgiven: Mt. 18:6 (Lk. 17:2), "But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea"
Hebrews 10:18," Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin."
Hebrews 10:26, "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins."
Cor. 10:5," Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringiong into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ."

If we say we don't sin we lie: I Jo.1:8, but if we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive...(! Jo.1:9)" I don't think when one kills (Murder) Him or herself he or she will have time to confess. Nontheless, they would be doing it intentionally, which is no forgiveness. One with a feeble mind, I do belive this is in God's hands, not ours. There is not a just man on this earth that does not sin; But nevertheless, this does not make u a sinner 4 a sinner's father is the devil. We all sin, look around u, we sin daily, Looks, thoughts , etc, that is why we have a mediater between us and the Father.

Alright. People may disagree and I apologize, but this is my theory.
God told us that He will never leave us NOR abandon us. I believe that if a GENUINE Christian who does commit suicide is still going to go to heaven. I mean, God told us that he won't leave us or forsake us. Even when we make poor decisions. Yes, we are basically committing murder, but is God going to leave us because we break one commandment? He's never left us when we DID break the other commandments.

Okay, I think it just hits a spot with me because I did try committing suicide. Obviously it didn't work because people pumped my stomach and yadda yadda yadda. But if I did succeed killing myself, would I be going to hell? No, I was a devoted follower of God. I always put Jesus before me and I did my best to spread His gospel around. I loved Him SO much.

But no, I don't think we should kill ourselves. That's not what God plans for us. When he thinks it's time for us to die, then he will make it happen. Sorry, but that's just the truth. When we kill ourselves, we're playing God. We shouldn't decide when we should die, but God has to.

But I do NOT believe that we will be going to hell because we'll commit suicide. But that is only people who have a GENUINE relationship with God. If nonchristians or even Christians that call themselves Christians simply becaue they believe in God, aren't going to go to heaven. "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, No one comes to the Father except through Me." We OBVIOUSLY need to have God in our lives.

I'm not FOR suicide. Don't get me wrong. But that's just my views and it hits a hard spot because I did try committing suicide and if it did go through, it hurts my feelings how people would say, "You'll go to hell."

Anytime a person thinks about suicide, or any suffering associated with that specific act, they would be occupied with some form of death in opposition to life. Their thoughts, their imaginations, their emotions and their volition would all be captured and occupied with death. A person suffering from depression, psychosis or neurosis is occupied the same way. Suicide becomes an available means of stopping any long or even short term suffering. Drugs, of all kinds, have become the means of coping with this kind of suffering without suicide. Unfortunately, an accidental or deliberate overdose has taken the life of many. Seeking out relationships with others has also become a way or means to substitute their relationship with these forms of death and suffering. Many times, these relationships have ultimately made things worse and added more negative suffering. Whatever the case may be, it is out to destroy them.

Deut 30:19 'I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live'.

Psalm 68:20 'He that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto GOD the Lord belong the issues from death'.

Let's take these two (2) verses and apply them to the subject of suicide. Suicide is when a person puts themselves in a place or position to make a deliberate and conscious decision and act to terminate or end the life they received at birth. If they initiate the act with a device, or under the influence of any stimulant, organic or otherwise, or initiate the act on their own without the aid of a device or stimulant, it would be a choice for death and be ruled death by suicide. If someone talked them into this act, with or without the aid of a device or stimulant, that could be considered death by assisted suicide or homicide. If they were under the influence of powerful inner or audible voices, it is considered death by irrational suicide.

This is not meant to be hardcore but it is meant to be direct. Every suicide is an issue of death. It is God's desire that we choose life, that we may live. Life is in opposition to death. There are (16) forms of death recorded in the scriptures. The death that involves suicide is physical death. I would also like to make a comment on these verses and as they apply to those who think that abortion is a women's prerogative. Read both verses (10) times and let the Holy Spirit give you conviction and tell you how it applies to the fifty (50) million abortions we have committed in the USA. The world has recognized death through suicide and they consider it to be diametrically opposed to life. Here is a question that some of you might not like, but it has merit because of conviction. Why don't these abortion clinics and all those that favor abortion (including our 44th President of the United States), encourage the women that want to destroy the life of their unborn child to terminate their own life also? Wouldn't we better off without them, as they think the same of their unborn? I am not advocating that for myself but I am advocating it for those that do not seem to value the life of the growing fetus within. If you really want to be honest about it, the unborn child within, has not done anything evil to even be rejected. The mother can't say that because she has sinned and she has failed and by rejecting her unborn child she is choosing death. I would like to say more, but I won't at this time. TO BE CONTINUED

**** right, Girl!!
Keep it up like that.

why are you all(the ones who think suicide means hell), all playing God?
..only God knows who goes into heaven.
i mean where is it written that suicide means hell?
if judas fell was it surely by his suicide or for his transgression against jesus?
i don't know that..do you know it for sure?

I also means by this:
why are you all messing with this subject if there's no concrete verse that specifically talks about this issue?
do you wish to condemn people after their death?
can't you have a little respect for the dead?
why won't you let God decide?
