Mwc68 I presented a case before you, whether you call it devotions, or prayer, what ever it is hindering your walk with the Lord, it is not acceptable to him. I don't think you want that but it is the truth. Doctrine of men, truth in christ you choose.

If Mary is not Divine then why are you praying the Rosary to Mary? Why are you even asking Mary for anything if she is not Divine?

If Mary is not Divine then its a sin to ask her for anything because you are praying to the dead. The dead cannot hear us and the dead cannot answer us. Basically you are wasting your time with Mary at best, at worse God can deny you entrance into Heaven for this. If i were you i would not take the chance and would reject Mary and follow Jesus only.

Why this obsession with Mary?

Would it not be better to reject Mary and go straight to God for everything you need? Who is greater, God or Mary?

God is greater because there is nothing God cannot do for us! Nothing is impossible with God!

So if God can and will do everything for us then why bother with Mary who is only a mortal sinner and is not God?

Or could it be the Catholics do believe Mary is greater than God?

The devotion I have to Mary is like a child to its mother. Jesus Christ himself gave her to us as our mother from the Cross and I'm not going against that. Mary is the most special human woman in the universe because of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and I'm proud to have her as my mother!

Where in the Scriptures did God ever say that Mary is the mother of all True Christians mwc68?

I all ready have a Mother, i do not need Mary as my Mother.

How can Mary be the most special woman in the universe? What about Eve? Are you saying Eve is not special or important?

What Real Christians honor Mary? Are you talking about Protestants or just Catholics as real Christians?

So are you saying mwc68 you choose Mary over God? Are you saying you choose Mary over the Scriptures from God?

How is teaching the Truth from God in the Scriptures doing it our way mwc68?

What is our way mwc68? Is it teaching what the Scriptures say that Mary was born in sin, is that what you mean by our way?

Every Protestant Church i know teaches the same thing God says, that everybody is a sinner. Why is it only the Catholic Church goes against the teachings of God?

What is disturbing is you total devotion to Mary who was a sinner. Its God who should have your total devotion mw68, not Mary.

Galatians 5:19-21 (NKJV)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,
[SUP]20 [/SUP] idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,
[SUP]21 [/SUP] envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Look carefully VCO at what God says in these verses. First of all He is not talking about non believers, He is talking about those who claim to be Christians and Catholics.

God is saying that those who PRACTICE Idolatry cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. Catholics are practicing Idolatry every time they say the Hail Mary because we are only to pray to God.

Catholics who say the Hail Mary are Idolaters and will not inherit the Kingdom of God because they practice being Idolaters by praying to Mary.

In these verses God is not talking to non believers, He is talking to the Catholics and Christians who refuse to stop sinning.

AND while you have your index finger pointing towards the Catholics, you still have three fingers pointing at yourself and ALL THE ONES IN RED ABOVE, you have been exhibiting here. YES even selfish ambitions we have seen coming from you in the form of WANTING THE POSITION OF ETERNAL JUDGE (which only belongs to CHRIST), so that you can SENTENCE THE CATHOLICS TO HELL. You have SEVERAL BIG LOGS STICKING OUT OF YOUR EYES, that you need to remove before you are even prepared to remove a speck from the Catholics eyes. BUT NO, you just want to sentence them to HELL.

Matthew 7:1-5 (HCSB)
[SUP]1 [/SUP]“Do not judge, so that you won’t be judged.
[SUP]2 [/SUP] For with the judgment you use, you will be judged, and with the measure you use,
it will be measured to you.
[SUP]3 [/SUP] Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye but don’t notice the log in your own eye?
[SUP]4 [/SUP] Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ and look, there’s a log in your eye?
[SUP]5 [/SUP] Hypocrite! First take the log out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.

Now one thing that I have NOTICE is that most Protestants and Catholics have only an assumption or hunch as to what the denomination means by a specific word. Take the WORD "blessed" for example, as used in the following verse:

Luke 1:41-42 (NKJV)
[SUP]41 [/SUP] And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.
[SUP]42 [/SUP] Then she spoke out with a loud voice and said, "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!

Now I have found that a lot of denominational disputes are actually the results of differences of definition of mutually commonly used words. Look at the Denominational differences in the definition of the Word "Blessed" when we look at a CATHOLIC DICTIONARY and a couple of Protestant Dictionaries:

CATHOLIC DICTIONARY:
BLESSED.

In general, a person, place, or object associated with God and implying a divine favor:
1. a sacramental as a blessed article;
2. a deceased person who has been beatified by an official declaration of the Church;
3. believers in Christ who respond to his beatitudes;
4. all Christians insofar as they receive the grace of God;
5. all who are in heaven. (Etym. Anglo-Saxon blētsian, to consecrate by blood.)

http://www.therealpresence.org/cgi-bin/getdefinition.pl

KJV DICTIONARY:
blessed

BLESS'ED, pp. Made happy or prosperous; extolled; pronounced happy.
BLESS'ED, a. Happy; prosperous in worldly affairs; enjoying spiritual happiness and the favor of God; enjoying heavenly felicity.

BLESS - Definition from the KJV Dictionary

Baker's Evangelical Dictionary of Biblical Theology
Blessedness

Condition or state of being in God's grace or favor. The Bible contains the words "bless, " "blessing, " and "blessed, " but not the noun "blessedness, " although the idea of a spiritual state of beatitude in which believers enjoy God's fellowship permeates the Bible. . . . . . . These words suggest divine protection, evoking believers' trust in their benefactor. They know God as the origin of every good thing in both this life and the next. The English word "blessedness" is derived from the root word for "blood" and suggests something set aside through sacrifice and in the Bible through Christ's sacrificial death for sins. Every aspect of the Christian life is embraced by blessedness with no credit assumed by the person experiencing it. It is purely God's grace.

In the Old Testament this blessedness may involve material things, but forgiveness is foremost (Psalm 32:1 ). All Christians are blessed simply by believing in Christ and hearing and keeping his word (Luke 11:28 ) and their perseverance in the face of trial (Matthew 11:6 ). Blessedness can apply to special endowments.

http://www.studylight.org/dictionaries/bed/view.cgi?n=96

NOW there are THREE BIBLE DICTIONARY DEFINITIONS of the word BLESSED; which have some similarities and some differences. AND I am sure you use a different one all together.

Show me the VERSE that says, "YOU WILL GO TO HELL, if you use a different
Dictionary Definition than Mec99 does."

I personally think the word Blessed only means "exceeding happy beyond what is humanly possible." But other put other meanings to the definitions to the word Blessed; see my last post above. The problem I have with putting a meaning to that word BLESSED that implies a higher level of blessedness than any other human being, is it CREATES A CONTRADICTION.

Luke 1:28 (NKJV)
[SUP]28 [/SUP] And having come in, the angel said to her, "Rejoice, highly favored one,
the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!"

Judges 5:24 (NKJV)
[SUP]24 [/SUP] "Most blessed among women is Jael, The wife of Heber the Kenite; Blessed is she among women in tents.

Or could it be that YOU DID NOT READ AND CONSIDER THESE VERSES?

Romans 13:7-8 (ISV)
[SUP]7 [/SUP] Pay everyone whatever you owe them—taxes to whom taxes are due, tolls to whom tolls are due,
respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due.
[SUP]8 [/SUP] Stop owing anyone anything—except to love one another. For the one who loves another has fulfilled the Law.

A Catholic Priest told me they believe it is NOT PRAYING TO; but rather just asking Mary and the Saints to pray for them, in the SAME MANOR as you and I would ask a Christian Brother to pray for us, as we are instructed to in the Book of James. He said show me a Verse where it says to stop asking Christian Brothers and Sisters to pray for you, once the have died. If you can, then I will stop asking them. He told me that is what they are actually TAUGHT IN SEMINARY; but he admitted, "I guess we have done a poor job of explaining that to our congregations from the Pulpit."

Ecc 9:4 For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.
Ecc 9:5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
Ecc 9:6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.

Is Mary alive??

Just because a Catholic Priest believes they are just asking Mary and not praying to Mary means nothing to God.

How can you ask a DEAD person to pray for you? Do you dig the up first then ask them?

Do you not know its a sin to try to contact the dead?

A bank robber may think he is just making a withdraw and not robbing a bank does not mean he is not robbing a bank. Just because a Catholic priest believes he is not praying to Mary, does not make it so.

Its Idolatry to pray to Mary. You can deceive yourself all you want into thinking you are just asking Mary and not praying to her. But its God who says its Idolatry, and its to God the Catholics have to answer for praying to Mary.

Show us in the Scriptures VCO where God says we can ask the dead to pray for us?

How can you ask Mary and the Saints when they are dead and in the Grave?

1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 (NKJV)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope.
[SUP]14 [/SUP] For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
[SUP]15 [/SUP] For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.
[SUP]16 [/SUP] For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
[SUP]17 [/SUP] Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

For the dead in Christ to arise they have to be in the Grave!

Mary and the Saints are in the Grave and cannot hear us not respond to us!

Its a sin to pray to the dead.

Now you KNOW that is only the HUMAN BODY that dies, WHILE THE HUMAN SPIRIT DEPARTS and goes to either Hades to be tormented or Heaven to be with our LORD! Either way the human spirit DOES NOT DIE.

Psalm 146:4 (NKJV)
[SUP]4 [/SUP] His spirit departs, he returns to his earth; In that very day his plans perish.

Luke 16:19-31 (NKJV)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] "There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day.
[SUP]20 [/SUP] But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate,
{Jesus NEVER gave names to parable characters, indicating this is a true story.}
[SUP]21 [/SUP] desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
[SUP]22 [/SUP] So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham's bosom.
{It was common place in the Jewish culture to refer to one walking close to another's side as walking at or in His bosom. HCSB words it "to Abraham's side."} The rich man also died and was buried.
[SUP]23 [/SUP] And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
{At his side. NOW NOTICE THEY CARRY ON AN IN DEPTH CONVERSATION.}
[SUP]24 [/SUP] Then he cried and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.'
[SUP]25 [/SUP] But Abraham said, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented.
[SUP]26 [/SUP] And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.'
[SUP]27 [/SUP] Then he said, 'I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father's house,
[SUP]28 [/SUP] for I have five brothers
{The exact number of brothers would not be relevant if this was only a parable. However because it is a true story, it is very relevant. In fact it is the reason JESUS did not name the rich man, because at least one if not all 5 brothers were standing there listening to Jesus. Out of courtesy, Jesus did not name the rich man, which would have embarrassed the brothers.} , that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.'
[SUP]29 [/SUP] Abraham said to him, 'They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.'
[SUP]30 [/SUP] And he said, 'No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.'
[SUP]31 [/SUP] But he said to him, 'If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.' "

Revelation 6:9-11 (HCSB)
[SUP]9 [/SUP] When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the people slaughtered because of God’s word and the testimony they had.
[SUP]10 [/SUP] They cried out with a loud voice: “Lord, the One who is holy and true, how long until You judge and avenge our blood from those who live on the earth?”
[SUP]11 [/SUP] So a white robe was given to each of them, and they were told to rest a little while longer until ⌊the number⌋ would be completed ⌊of⌋ their fellow slaves and their brothers, who were going to be killed just as they had been.

Revelation 7:13-15 (HCSB)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] Then one of the elders asked me, “Who are these people robed in white, and where did they come from?”
[SUP]14 [/SUP] I said to him, “Sir, you know.” Then he told me: These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
[SUP]15 [/SUP] For this reason they are before the throne of God, and they serve Him day and night in His sanctuary. The One seated on the throne will shelter them:

Revelation 20:4 (HCSB)
[SUP]4 [/SUP] Then I saw thrones, and people seated on them who were given authority to judge. ⌊I⌋ also ⌊saw⌋ the people who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of God’s word, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and who had not accepted the mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with the Messiah for 1,000 years. {NOTE: Their spirits are alive and functioning in heaven, and near the end of this verse in Chapter 20, they are finally reunited with their bodies in resurrection. SLEEPING IN THE GRAVE UNTIL THE RESURRECTION IS A TOTALLY FALSE DOCTRINE.}

So tell me mwc68 and VCO when will you ever accept God? When will you put aside all the lies of the Catholic Church to follow God?

You do know that just because you say Lord, Lord does not mean you are a True Christian?

Matthew 7:13-14
[SUP]13 [/SUP] "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
[SUP]14 [/SUP] Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Matthew 7:21-23
[SUP]21 [/SUP] "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
[SUP]22 [/SUP] Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'
[SUP]23 [/SUP] And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'
