If you are forgiven of your sins and set free under Grace at liberty.. What then do you do?

am I grateful for the forgiveness knowing what I did before was not pleasing GOD but continue therin?

Is the Spirit given to allow you to Keep or break the law of GOD? How can you Love GOD and your neighbour like the Messiah teaches?

What does GOD say those that Love Him do?

What does the Messiah say those that Love Him do?

Grace is not given to allow a free pass.. it is given to set us free to Love GOD and each other.

If we do not Repent and strengthen what remains we will not be worthy..

The Lord is going to judge us and we should strive to be found blameless.

You can say Christ is my Righteousness I believe this and trust in this and I am saved.. is your heart set on His words? Are you believing unto the saving of your soul... same to myself..

yes I believe in the birth, death and Resurrection.. all the power of GOD at work to forgive and reconcile us with Himself.. only through Faith in His Son.

The New Covenant is by Grace through Faith.. and that is How GOD writes His law on your heart.. by loving you first..

I have another word for those who I sent the prophetic to. After the slaying of the giant, came the Kingship. We are priests and Kings unto Him.

Authority. :)
There is an issue with this word, stones....
It sounds super spiritual, because it involves giant killing and all sorts of other things....but in truth, it is a false word...

We have authority in Christ and in using his name...we do not get authority from battling spiritual giants, we take them out because we have the authority of the master and do all in name above all names....and it was already granted to us....

This is false word because it does not line up with the word and should be disregarded as such....

Sounds a lot like the false words of Jennifer LeClarie or other Bethel profits....

Am with you up to the last line loveme. Just because you don't mention that it is our nature. Writing the law on our heart is a promise in the OT.

What He has done for His body is He has given us Himself, His Spirit, a new creation spiritual man/woman.

Never seen before on earth...unless Adam and Eve was this in the beginning. Some think they were. Others not. But the Sons formed in His image...is what we are.

some are impressed with what they see as authority

God gave Israel the king they clamored for ...handsome and head and shoulders above the rest

in the meantime, a shepherd boy had God's attention and a heart after Him

nothing has changed

people rejected Jesus, in part, because He did not come with a sword in His hands to punish the Romans

in fact, the scriptures tell us He was despised and rejected and marred beyond all men

power and strength are with our God.

the Christian faith is rife with false teachers, so called prophets and self appointed apostles

if you follow them, you will receive their reward

if you follow what is true, a true prophet (in the proper sense of the word) you will receive a prophet's reward

even a king can eat grass if God is displeased
I judged this one as false...Christ gave us all authority as did God......in the beginning.....

It is always the small things that give these profits away....

I know you are not addressing me personally.
I must admit that I did think about saying "Successful ministry" because that is subjective to the criteria that someone believes is successful.

So I agree with you totally.
I think for me why I think it was successful is because I took over a failing youth group.
I built it up from about 20 to about 100.
This group I took from church focused only into the community.

So the focus for me was to provide an environment for kids to do the things they like.
Sports, eat tuck shop, watch a movie, day trips, weekends away, sleepovers and so on.

We also provided and environment for the kids to talk in private if needs be.

In fact at times I wouldn't let some children into the building because it wasn't safe for the rest but I would sit outside with them
I sat with kids who had cans of beer who would drink them in from of me, kids smoking dope, kids with anger issues. They actually felt safe and secure with me.

I had the privilege of just listening and hopefully allowing the wisdom of the HS to say the right things.

So to me the success is not the numbers but the opportunity to talk about Jesus with them.
I have had a few come to church and thank me for my understanding and love.
In fact a couple years later came to church and sought me out.

Some haven't But seeds were sown and hooefully at some point that will be harvested.

I am not saying the above to me make look good.
Just trying to convey what I think is successful.

And that is reaching out to people to hear the Gospel of Jesus and the privilege to plant seed to those willing to hear it.

I do get totally what you are saying though and I agree.
To me success is sowing for eternity rather than the temporal.
this is just the tip of the white in your harvest Bill...carry on mighty man of Valor and of God...

It came from neither. But thank you for your evaluation. I will let those who received the word make their own discernment.

~Eph 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Just a question though, perhaps you can answer. Wasn't David crowned king after the slaying of the giant?

And the authority of His name is for babes even. But, that which takes down giants is given.

Here is a thought:

Romans 8

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 5For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6For to be carnally minded isdeath; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7Because the carnal mind isenmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

It is through being loved we are in Christ receiving the Spirit to walk by.. which is subject to GOD's law..

When we get the understanding that "whatsoever is not of faith is sin" - then we will appreciate the Holy Spirit's role in convincing/convicting us believers that we are the righteousness of God in Christ because Jesus has gone to the Father and now stands as our Advocate.

Just as Jesus said in John 16:10 and John said in 1 John 2:1.

This is what the Holy Spirit convinces/convicts the believer of concerning Christ.

John 16:10

[SUP]10 [/SUP] and concerning righteousness, because I ( Jesus ) go to the Father and you ( believers ) no longer see Me;

1 John 2:1-2 (NASB)
[SUP]1 [/SUP] My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous;

The understanding of righteousness is paramount in growing up in the Lord as grace reigns through righteousness. Rom. 5:21

The proper understanding of righteousness releases the power of grace to operate in our lives like it was meant to. Grace teaches us how to live godly in this present world. Titus 2:11-12

This is why the enemy fights so much about the righteousness of God in Christ given as a gift to the believer when they receive Christ when they hear the gospel message of Him and that their sins are forgiven because of the blood of Jesus.

I encourage us to feed ourselves on how to walk out this righteousness that is ours in Christ as a gift.

Here is a minister that is anointed to teach on this area of "Awake to righteousness and sin not". She has the gift from the Lord to teach how to practically work out the righteousness that is in us in our every day struggles.

There are about 12 episodes of about 24 minutes each. Here is the first one for those that are interested.

Be blessed! You are the righteousness of God in Christ - Let's us all "awake to this truth and walk free in all areas of our life by the power of the Holy Spirit as He transforms us as we behold the glory/goodness of the Lord as in a mirror."

We participate in this with Him because it is God who is at work in us both to will and to do of His good pleasure. Phil. 2:13

Sometimes I hear the dueling banjos song on these threads.

Of course though, in the end the banjo and guitar are playing together.

Rom 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Thought I would share the rest.

love these scriptures loveme...which shows the security and the work of Holy Spirit in our life.

He looks into our hearts, and gently shows error. Keeping us is His work.

Teaches truth too. :)

Yes, the one new man. The body of Christ. A new nature. Did they know what was said? No, scripture says the prophets desired to know and understand.
OT prophets "saw" only what God revealed to them. They searched diligently of the grace that should come unto you.

1 Peter 1:

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:

7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

10 Of which salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:

11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

The prophets "saw" the sufferings of Christ.

The prophets "saw" the glory that should follow.

The prophets did not see the grace that should come unto us. And angels desire to look into this grace.

Pretty phenomenal (imho).

they that are in the flesh does not mean super-spiritualize

if we walk in the spirit, it is an actual obedience to the LIGHT

if we walk in the light as He is in the light....God dwells in the light and with Him is no darkness at all

we do not slay giants

the biggest giant of all is already slain. he knows his end

you cannot slay a spirit. the worst are reserved in chains at the moment

there is a difference between fallen angels and evil spirits

evil spirits are not in chains but fallen angels are

with all the praying certain groups do over cities, have the cities changed?

spiritual warfare is described as a wrestling match...not mortal combat. the only mortal who can die in the conflict is the human

therefore stand and having done all, continue to stand (somewhat paraphrased)

You are saying the new covenant is not for the body of Christ? I don't use the word church that much.

The new covenant is not as the Old agreement with God and man.

It's the will of inheritance that Jesus has written that we might be formed in His image.
