you are are held and captive again to the law.
you have no stand, you cut your self off.
You are offensive and judgmental and has basically told me that I am not God's child because you have a false view of my beliefs.

I have no need to answer your false accusations and you have only shown worldly demonic wisdom.

Stirring up strife and contention. Not even keeping on the topic we are discussing.

Why do you insist on haunting me?

Leave him be, he doesn't know the difference between conviction and condemnation. Just keep him in prayer. Arguing with him won't help.

Maybe Willie T can help him.
you have been found in want to the new covenant.

you can not prove your own stand in god, paul ward you.

your opinion is noted, now take it up with conviction, you live under.

grace is a gift not an obligation.

For one who preaches no condemnation, you sure dish it out. Aaaaargh.

So not the day. I was hoping for an edifying conversation with my loving brothers and sisters. Not a bunch of posts telling me how wrong and dumb I am.

Bye, bbl

Galatians 5: Christ Has Set Us Free
1 For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
2 Look: I, Paul, say to you that if you accept circumcision, Christ will be of no advantage to you.3 I testify again to every man who accepts circumcision that he is obligated to keep the whole law.4 You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace

grace is a gift and you return to law. you are severed from christ.
so you lose grace the gift you were gave. because you return to a law that jesus saved you from and condemnation to that law. etc

As a quick aside, if you have no conviction of sin from the Holy Spirit, no law of Christ
to follow, no conscience to tell you got it wrong, by your own definition you are perfect,
because you are failing at nothing, as there are no marks to keep.

So therefore you should be pure, holy, sinless. But here is the problem. You are under
a worse law, the law of fear, of criticism, of not trusting God, of not doing good.
It is not written down, but it makes sure you feel rubbish about everything and a failure,
except it is claimed you have no condemnation in your consciences, but they are screaming
out this is a lie. But that is obviously satan trying to depress you. What a mess...

returning to worldly thinking, and cannot connect again to god.

how can you repent for believing in a saviour.

For God So Loved the World
16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

believe is not repent, and acts 10 that you reject proves this.

opinion that can not be backed up with scripture, a bro or sis telling you. is to help you understand, but if you can not understand what is being said to you. this is a forum topic not a church. i have tryed telling you this.

the condemned rejection come from the truth that causes conviction or lost to the understanding because it went over there head. ie misunderstood.

spiritual gifts defend or build faith etc

You don't understand the difference between conviction and condemnation. They are two different words for a reason. Why don't you go pray and ask God?

James 1:5 ESV
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

Even Willie says that the Holy Spirit convicts people of their sins. He says only unbelievers, but that is a different conversation.

In fact it is all a different conversation.

Yes, I really like practical help from others who have been walking in the Spirit. I want to see that thread!!
But I learned about the laying on of hands here, which was really great. :)

Hi Ariel,

Hugs!!!

This thread has been so disrupted by those who want to judge and condemn. It's been very discouraging for sure. I really believe that the wise thing to do is to put these people on our ignore list. They are taking up so much of our discussion. If we ignore them and don't respond to their posts, they'll eventually get tired of posting here and then maybe we will have a little peace. I think we give them ammunition when we respond. I have two on my ignore list so I'll add royal scot too. Actually, I think you ought to report him.

One thing I was just sharing with a friend yesterday is that no matter what happens in life, God hasn't changed. Like when the weather changes and we say what a beautiful day it is when the sun is shining and the the birds are singing and it is. But when it's cold, rainy, snowy, etc, we tend to allow the cold or the wet to affect us and so we don't say it's a beautiful day and our spirit might be cast down. I practice at saying that, "today is the day the Lord has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it."

So today IS the day the Lord has made and I WILL rejoice and be glad in it. I did get discouraged reading royal scot's posts, but I'm choosing to not let it bother me. The enemy is trying to disrupt the study of God's word. We should be rejoicing, we must be doing something right to have so many who are trying to disrupt.

So why don't we look to Jesus, His peace, His love, His joy, His encouragement, His conviction if we've responded sinfully.

I've started a new study in 2 Timothy. Guess what it says? We're not to wrangle about words because it's useless and it leads to the ruin of the hearers. It also say to avoid worldly and empty chatter because it will lead to further ungodliness. Paul also told Timothy that their talk will spread like gangrene. So my thinking is that the best way to avoid this empty chatter and this wrangling about words is to put those doing it on ignore.

In chapter 3 Paul says the last days will be difficult. Men will become:

- Lovers of self
- Lovers of money
- Boastful
- Arrogant
- Revilers
- Disobedient to parents,
- Ungrateful
- Unholy
- Unloving
- Irreconcilable
- Malicious gossips
- Without self-control
- Brutal
- Haters of good
- Treacherous
- Reckless
- Conceited
- Lovers of pleasure, rather than lovers of God
- Holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power - avoid such men as these.
- Evil men and imposters will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.

And chapter 4 talks about Timothy preaching the word in season and out of season reproving, rebuking, exhorting with great patience and instruction.

Paul told Timothy that there will come a time when believers will not endure sound doctrine, but wanting to have their ears tickled, they accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and they will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.

In Chapter 2, the way we need to respond as the Lord's bond-servant is to not be quarrelsome, but we need to be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, with gentleness we need to correct those in opposition, if perhaps God may grant the repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, and hopefully they will come to their senses, escaping from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.

I just thought this was timely. What does bbl mean?

Not exactly. Willie said that the Holy Spirit convicts the world of the condemnation it lives under without Jesus. He, on the other hand, reminds Believers of how they may, or may not, be living up to the position they hold as sons or daughters of God, and hopefully, convinces them that their hearts might have gotten off track into the wrong places.

I do not, in any way, believe there is any convicting condemnation for a Believer coming from the Holy Spirit. I do, however, believe that many Believers FEEL convicting condemnation coming from The Accuser........ and attribute that attempted conviction to The Holy Spirit, in much the same way they often ask why God brought something or other bad upon them.

The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, but only REMINDS Believers (Sometimes a bit more strongly than at other times.) that they belong to Christ, and need to get that understanding of their Identity back into their hearts.

We did that tonight in our Christ care small group. It was powerful. One of the members was a former pastor and she asked us all what it meant and what we knew about it. One person described it as being a conduit for the Holy Spirit and for God to work in and through us for healing.

She had us all gather in a circle. Another member suggested he hold the candle (which symbolise Christ with us during our meeting) and turned off the lights. Everyone laid their hands on him or on someone touching him and said a prayer as God moved them. She encouraged everyone to pray and not be afraid. Jesus did prayed simple prayers.

Gotta say that the real problem is with too many Christians being on milk way too long than it being a problem of meat being offered to babes. :)

Thanks Willie, for clearing that up.

Note to self, when speaking to Willie use the words "convince" instead of "convict". Don't mention the term "turn from sin"

Okay, anything else I need to keep in mind?

Everyone ready to talk about final judgement?
