the bully that they fight in spiritual war fair or in spiritual gifts.
is condemnation or conviction of sin.
ie grace a gift. no condemnation.
Now ministry of the Holy Spirit is conviction of sin to lead to repentance.
You are obviously rebelling against God in your teaching.

Leave him be, he doesn't know the difference between conviction and condemnation. Just keep him in prayer. Arguing with him won't help.

Maybe Willie T can help him.

I am a liar because Acts 15 contradicts Jonah and His message.
Acts 15 is about the law of Christ, not the law of Moses.

Jonah is about repentance against the law of Christ. Their repentance is not
about becoming Jews but about being blasted from the earth because you are so
evil, the Lord will judge your society there and then.

And on this basis you call me a liar. I will pray for you my friend.
Wherever you are, you need the Lord and to come to the foot of the cross and
repent of your sins. Lord, help royalscot come close to you, and know both your
holiness and your acceptance of Him in Christ, if he lays down his old life, and is
willing to pick up his new life in you, Amen
and what covenant are you addressing on this forum.
milk drinker.
so going back and bring context and an answer, to the other things you were given, and asked. then come back in context to them. and the liar. will come clear to my usage of the word liar, meaning.
twist what, you want.

new covenant,

1 Corinthians 13 v 1
AMP If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love [for others growing out of God’s love for me], then I have become only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal [just an annoying distraction].

To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law.
1 cor 9:21

Paul is saying he is under Christ's law, the law of the new covenant.
Now you are a grace believer following Pauls teaching, so you have
to accept Christ's law.

Do you accept you are under this law?

you mean in your opinion, to scripture ,it means that.
and your opinion to rebelling against god is noted, to why you reject acts 15, as proof to all scripture came from god, not an opinion you have trouble proving because you , saved your self from condemnation of the bible.

Ok. It is interesting to see such an obvious HG theological position about conviction
of sin.

do you have the law, being a gentile.

so repent from a law you do not have . so how can you repent.

Actually, part of the ministry of the Holy Spirit IS to convict the world (not Christians) of sin. Or, at least, that is what the Bible says.

in the same way, it will interesting to see a jw being saved for having an opinion, to scripture.
but reject or fail to enter the sheep gate, because opinion is not belief.

with romans 5 in place before anyone here opened the bible.
already shows what jesus has fixed.
the law, lead jewish to christain repentance. instead of talking a animal to the temple.

if you reject 15 then, you return to a jewish law that was never given to a gentile believer.

so acts 2 is why the law is condemning them . the gentile believers.

That's exactly right Willie. Some people have an evangelical anaphylaxis event in their minds when they hear that because we have been taught differently.

The word " convict/reprove/convince/expose" in question has many meanings attached to it as well.

It is only used 1 time in KJV as "convict"....it is used more often with the word "to reprove/rebuke/convince/expose"...the word needs to be looked at in the "context" that it is used...

It is a revealing of things.....to the world the Holy Spirit reveals/convinces/expose their sin of unbelief in Jesus..

To the believer He reveals/convinces/expose that they are the righteousness of Christ because He went to the Father to stand as an Advocate.

John 16:8-10 (NASB)
[SUP]8 [/SUP] "And He, when He comes, will convict the world ( unbelievers ) concerning sin and righteousness and judgment;

[SUP]9 [/SUP] concerning sin, because they ( unbelievers ) do not believe in Me;

[SUP]10 [/SUP] and concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father and you ( believers ) no longer see Me;

1 John 2:1-2 (NASB)
[SUP]1 [/SUP] My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous;

[SUP]2 [/SUP] and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.

Here are a few examples of the same exact word used in scripture...as one can clearly see....this word has many uses depending on the context.

1 Corinthians 14:24 (KJV)
[SUP]24 [/SUP] But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all:

Titus 1:9 (KJV)
[SUP]9 [/SUP] Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.

Matthew 18:15 (KJV)
[SUP]15 [/SUP] Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.

John 8:46 (KJV)
[SUP]46 [/SUP] Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?

So, we can clearly seen the Greek word translated once in the KJV as "convict" really means to expose, reveal, convince people of something.

restoring every human to the presence of god. never came through repentance.

a rite stand to gods presence came by grace a gift.

21 I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.

For if many died through one man's trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many.

18 Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men.

justification and life, a rite stand with god.

before you opened the bible.

What does it means to WALK WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT?

What does it mean to be born again?

What happens during spiritual resurrection?

We can talk of spiritual gifts.

We can talk of the Body of Christ.

So as a holy temple of the Holy Spirit, not matter how you defile this temple, the
Holy Spirit is going to say nothing to you about your behaviour?

If you practice this over overt sin, you will not last in any christian community.
It is also saying God does not care about defilement of His people once they
are cleansed. Have you ever read that God is ok with a defiled temple.

Paul says this

Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.
1 cor 3:16-17

The reason the Holy Spirit is not concerned so much with the conviction of sin
in the church, because the church is meant to be walking with Christ as holy, pure
blameless people. But maybe the church is not actually as big as people would like
to believe and reality in peoples lives is still not well developed.

That's not what is being talked about but anyway let's continue to talk about the resurrection of the dead.

Where are we at now? I think we covered most of it?

There is the resurrection of the dead spiritually with Christ when He died on the cross. There is the resurrection of the dead later on for a judgment of some sort. Anything else you can think of?
