Tts 1:2 "In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;"
Tts 1:3 "But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;"

Paul was in HOPE of eternal life which God has PROMISED before the world began.
No verse anywhere says that God made eternal life an UNCONDITIONAL promise to anyone. This promise of eternal life was manifested/made known/revealed through the word of God, Christ's gospel word which tells us:

Jn 3:15 "That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life."
Jn 10:27,28 "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life;..."
Jude 1:21 "Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life."
1 Jn 2:24,25 " If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life."
Rom 2:7,8 "To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath."

Clearly God's promise of eternal life is CONDITIONAL upon (from the verses above):
Jn 3:15 one maintaining a present tense belief
Jn 10:27,28 maintaining a present tense hearing and following Christ
Jude 1:21 keeping ones self in the love of God
1 Jn 2:24,25 letting the word you heard preach remain in you
Rom 2:7 a continuance in well doing

If one quits meeting these CONDTIONS God has place upon His promise of eternal life then one forfeits the promise. Eternal life remains eternal one just no longer possesses that promise. Never did God make His promise of eternal life UNCONDITIONAL, that is, no one gains eternal life UNCONDTIONALLY and can never lose it even if he quits believing, quits hearing and following Christ, does not keep himself in the love of God, does not let the word abide in him, quits well doing.

No one gains the promise of eternal life without CONDITIONALLY meeting these conditions Christ's gospel sets forth and no one can maintain that promise if he quits meeting these conditions.
Addenum:

Jn 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Jn 3:36 "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."

One must CONDITIONALLY maintain a present tense belief so he should (subjunctive mood) not perish/be saved Jn 3:16. (see also Jn 6:47; 1 Tim 1:16)

Jn 5:24 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."

One must CONDITIONALLY maintain a present tense hearing and believing to have everlasting life.

Jn 6:27 "Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed."

One must CONDITIONALLY maintain a present tense laboring to have everlasting life.

Actually eternal life is to KNOW the FATHER and Jesus said if you have known me and seen me you have known and seen the FATHER! Get your facts straight!
First, you ignored the passages I just posted. Second, the passage says that having eternal life is in knowing both the Father and the Son.

"And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent."
(John 17:3).

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the LIFE. Jesus alone possesses immortality (1 Timothy 6:16). Knowing Jesus and the Father is the source of one's eternal life. If one is not abiding with the Father and Jesus, then they have no eternal life abiding in them. How can you get the Father and the Son to abide in you so that you may know them and have eternal life?

Obey the words of the Lord. For...

"Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him." (John 14:23).

He who believes in me HAS (perfect tense) Eternal life. he who does not believe in me shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides in him.

So when is jason going to have complete and utter faith in Christ, and stop having more faith in himself?

and who KNOWS him other than those BORN of him (adopted by him)

A legalism like you does not KNOW him, you know OF HIM, but that is not the same as knowing him.

how can we say this? Because in order for us to love as God loved, we must first experience Gods true unfailing perfect love, If you think you can lose his gift, you have yet to experience his true unfailin glovem ths you have no capacity to love other (do good)

thus, you have NEVER KNOWN GOD. and GOD HAS NEVER KNOWN YOU.

What are some other words by Jesus?

In Matthew 6:15, Jesus gives us words about how if we do not forgive, then we will not be forgiven.

In Matthew 18:9, Jesus gives us words that say that if our eye offends us, it is better to pluck it out then to go thru Hell fire.

In Matthew 12:37, Jesus says by your words you will be justified and by your words, you can be condemned. For if one rejects the words of Christ, then those very words will judge them on the last day (John 12:48).

In Matthew 5:20, Jesus says your righteousness must exeed the righteousness of the scribes and pharisees, otherwise you will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

In Matthew 5:22, Jesus says do not hate your brother without a cause, or you will be in danger of the Judgment.

Doesn't sound like Eternal Security to me. There are certain Conditions that apply for a believer to abide in Christ (Who is the source of their Eternal Salvation).

Who is he who truly knows God? According to 1 John 2:3, it is the person who keeps His Commandments. For...

"He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him." (1 John 2:4).

But is it my own personal works that save me? No. It is the work of Christ (God) that flows thru me that saves me. This is the Sanctification process. For Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith. For if Jesus lives in a person for real, then surely they will have the fruit of Christ in their life to prove it. This is why Paul says we are to examine our selves on whether or not Christ is in us or not (unless we be reprobates) (2 Corinthians 13:5). Also, salvation is not of our own works because if I do mess up, I have God's grace to be forgiven of sin and cleansed of all unrighteousness (When I confess my sins as per 1 John 1:9). But 1 John 1:9 is not an excuse for us to sin and confess and sin and confess repeatedly as if it was a way for us to get away with sin. We also have to strive to forsake sin with God's help so as to be cleansed by the blood (1 John 1:7).

If you claim salvation can be lost. then yes, this is what you believe, You can deny it all you want.

It is not like the human gooders who say we need to test drive our woman to make sure we are compatible before we get married (excusing fornication) or the human gooders who say I do not love this person anymore. so I can trade them in on someone I do love (excuse divorce)

God does not say come test me out and see if you like me, if you do not liike me, you can walk away from me, and I will let you go. He says this is a one time offer, Do you trust me or not. If you trust me, ask me and I will come in and dine with you. and we will live forever together.

But if you have any doubts, walk away, For I will not come into you until you get rid of all doubts.

So Jesus contradicts himself?
No, Jesus does not contradict Himself. Jesus is the source of salvation and we can have eternal life by abiding in Him. If we abide in Christ, then He will naturally do the good work in you (convicting you to follow His Word with Him doing that "good work" in you).

Who do you make him out to be? Human??
Jesus is both God Almighty and He is also a man. He is the Eternal uncreated Son of God or the Living Word (Who is the second person of the Godhead) (1 John 5:7 KJV). The Word was made flesh. In other words, Jesus Christ came down into the flesh of Adam by way of a virgin birth thru Mary. Jesus suppressed His Omniscience (i.e. to know all things) so as to be like a man in order to be our substitute. He became a servant and was obedient up unto the point of his death, whereby he was then risen three days later, and then quickly ascended shortly thereafter to show forth his blood to the Father in the Heavenly Temple (So as to offer the free gift of salvation to man and to be our Heavenly High Priest).

The verses I gave you previously about Jesus saying you must do certain things or you will face the Judgment was said to believers and not unbeleivers. For it does not do any good for an unbeliever to do those things that Jesus says if they are not born again spiritually. In other words, it is useless for an unbeliever to apply just one of Christ's commands to their life if they didn't repent of their sins and accepted Him as their Savior.

Which one of these verses are the facts?..."And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is IN His son. He who HAS the Son has life; he who does not HAVE the Son of God does not have life." [1 John 5:11-12].

--OR--

"And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is knowing His son. He who knows the Son has life; he who does not know the Son of God does not have life." [????? ].

"Knowing" is powerless to this wretched sinner in the context you presented! My only hope is found in the the killing power of the cross that killed this wretched man, and the sin debt associated with it.. And the promise of sins power over me being released for eternity comes from Christ's resurrection. My guarantee of eternal life is valid if, and only if I remain IN Christ. Why? Because God came to bring glory to Himself.....to make us Holy! If we remain in our human depravity we cannot do that. But if we come unto Him thru Christ Jesus our Lord the things He asks us to do are worthy of asking; yea demanding, because He has given us the ability and resources to accomplish His laws in us thru Christ Jesus. If God sees you knowing Jesus you are standing next to Him. But God will not have sin in His presence, thus He sees all saints as Jesus only [ the sinless one]. Our emergence INTO Christ is the difference from the real eternal security and the perverted one. To be in Christ we must remain in Him. This is our choice and action. This is our will established for the love relationship God wanted to have with us. I am not God's "pity-party!" I am a Holy and powerful saint, a saint because I am found IN Jesus Christ not beside Him.

Then you have jesus contradicting himself. He said whoever has faith in him HAS eternal life. If it is not eternal. Jesus lied.

And you assume one who has placed their faith in Christ would ever stop abiding in him, Why do you think Jesus would ever let a person down so they no longer trusted him? do you lack that much faith in God? (well actually we already know you do by what you teach)

So if he offers the free gift of salvation to man as you just claimed he did, why is he asking a price for it? Because your not preaching a free gift salvation, your preaching a salvation which will cost you.

again, you ALMOST HAVE GODS TRUTH, but you just far enough off of his truth to make it worthless.

1. So your perfect?
2. So you agree that those who are saved BECAUSE they trust God will be obedient to him (although not perfect)

which one is it, because those are the ONLY TWO possible ways to interpret what you just said.

This is just a false accusation.

Nah, If you knew God, you would not teach that we can test drive his salvation, or that he did not have the power to change us and make it so we would never desire to leave him causing him to have to take his supposed "free" gift away, because we failed to earn it.

nonsense. I personally am sick of your pharisee nonsense, Don't you ever get sick of puffing yourself up so much and making things to be not as they really were to excuse your pride??

Many people walked with jesus who were never saved, just like many people go to church every week who have never been saved. Jesus, paul and all the apostles not only spoke to believers, but believer want to be's (who had not yet been saved) and outright impostors who infiltrated the churches. thus again, your argument is nonsense, Because jesus spoke to them also. whether you want to believe it or not.
