I feel led by the spirit to share this to whoever the spirit leads to receive it. Now there are some who are under the false doctrine that God's Divine commandments have been blotted out and nailed to cross and were a curse not a blessing. I will refute this lie with the truth of the Holy Spirits teaching. Now before we begin In no way or form am I saying obedience to reliance on or observance of Gods commandments makes you righteous or secures your salvation I know the word says (Rom. 10:10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. First lets expose the lie and find out what was truly blottened out and was a curse (not 10 commandments) and nailed to the cross and find out what was fulfilled by final sacrifice of Christ Jesus our Lord. (Rom. 7:11-14) 11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it (using it as a weapon) slew (killed) me. 12 Wherefore the law is holy, ( not a curse) and the commandment holy, (again not a curse) and just, and good. 13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me (without the Spirit) by that which is good(as a weapon); that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful. 14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal (of flesh), sold under sin (sold into slavery under control of sin). You see clearly it states gods commandments are not a curse but used as a weapon against us before we had received spirit of Christ where there is no condemnation for sin. The curse wasn't the commandments it was that we were in bondage having to live in flesh without the spirit. Now here is where the false doctrine originates from. (Gal. 3:10) For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. What is this book they speak of? Well lets let the bible explain itself and not make our own assumptions. Lets see is it the 10 commandments, that can't be GOD came down as a consuming fire and wrote them with his own finger in stone (not a book). What about (Deu. 31:26) Take this book(again not 10 commandments) of the law, and put it in the side ( not in) of the ark of the covenant of the lord your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee. You can read Deu. 31 if you want to know more of this book their is a song written in it as a witness against children of Israel (again not 10 commandments). Now lets reiterate what we have already established. Gods commandments are good, holy, just(not a curse and against thee). Lets read commandment 5 together Honor thy mother and father, that your days may be long in the land the lord your god gives you. Does that sound like blessing or curse, for you or against you(rhetorical). Now the true curse that's nailed to cross (Col. 2:14) 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances (webster- an authoritative decree or direction; a prescribed usage, practice, or ceremony) that was against us (not 10 commandments they're holy), which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross. I got it these are without a doubt the ceremonial ordinances one had to practice and follow to become justified and cleansed in the sight of the lord (circumcision, sacrifices, etc.) but we don't live in the flesh under the law of sin and death we live by the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus. Christ's final sacrifice erased all those burdens of living under that old law (in flesh) which was the curse not God's holy, just, divine, commandments which when we are obedient to are a blessing. So do we follow and keep Gods commandments to be justified and secure salvation nooo! That is only received through life in Christ. So lets see what holy spirit teaches now that we have exsposed this lie of Satan which is false doctrine. First lets find out where Gods commandments are surely not blotted out I found them now put your hand over your heart now you found them and are they not embedded in your mind. (Heb. 10:14-16) For by one offering (Jesus Christ) he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. 15 whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, 16 This is the covenant that i will make with them after those days, saith the Lord (not man); I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them. God also says (1 John 5:3) For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. (1 John 2:3-7) 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. 7 Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment, which you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you have heard from the beginning. Read parable of the unprofitable servant (Luke 17:5-10) to see we are doing will of god when we keep his commandments. So here's warning about false teachers (Col. 2:8) Beware lest any man spoil (hold you captive) you through (so called) philosophy vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments (principles) of the world, and not after Christ. We in the spirit stay ( Col. 2:7) Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. And this is how we may discern ( daily by experience) that we are coming to know him- to perceive, recognize, understand and become better acquainted with him- if we keep ( bear in mind, observe, practice) His teachings (precepts, commandments) so that Christ's life may be lived in us and through us and I pray all of you who received this in the spirit that know this is Spirit of truth in me that shares this with you. (Psalm 1) 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doeth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. (Isa. 40:8) The grass withereth, the flower fadeth, but the word of our god shall stand forever. And this is for all who Don't understand (1 Cor. 2:14) But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. ( Mat. 5:17) Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. (Then there is a new beginning)
I disagree and I’m led by the Holy Spirit.

I've only just skimmed this thread... was the following passage covered anywhere? :
Hebrews 7 -
A Superior Priesthood
11 [...] 22 By so much also, Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant.
...or this one...

2 Corinthians 3 -
The Glory of the New Covenant

7 But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: 8 How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? 9 For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. 10 For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth. 11 For if that which is done away glorious, much more that which remaineth glorious.

12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech: 13 And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: 14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. 15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. 16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.

17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

18 But *we* all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the [risen, ascended, exalted] Lord, are changed into the same image FROM glory TO glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Heb 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

G3331
metathesis
met-ath'-es-is
From G3346; transposition, that is, transferral (to heaven), disestablishment (of a law): - change, removing, translation.

Same word used here:

Heb 12:27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

Clarke:

There is made of necessity a change also of the law - The very essence of the Levitical law consisting in its sacrificial offerings; and as these could not confer perfection, could not reconcile God to man, purify the unholy heart, nor open the kingdom of heaven to the souls of men, consequently it must be abolished, according to the order of God himself; for he said, Sacrifice and offering, and burnt-offering, and sacrifice for sin, he would not; see Psa_40:6, Psa_40:7, compared with Heb_10:5-10, and with Psa_110:4, where it is evident God designed to change both the law and the priesthood, and to introduce Jesus as the only Priest and Sacrifice, and to substitute the Gospel system for that of the Levitical institutions.

So since we know the law was changed, let's go back to what Christ said:

Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Not even a "period" from the law could be removed or changed until "heaven and earth pass". The law did change and in a quite a large way thus we know that heaven and earth did pass away at the cross. This of course is a reference to a heaven and earth age passing not the actual Heaven or Earth disappearing or being replaced.

(Rom. 8:2) For the law of the spirit of life in Christ has freed me from the law ( held captive in flesh without spirit) of sin and death.
Yes, I am often quoting the following passage:

Romans 7:1-4 -
Release from the Law
(Galatians 3:15-25)

1 Or are you ignorant brothers (for I speak to those knowing the law), that the law rules over the man for as long as the time he is alive? 2 For the married woman is bound by law to the living husband; but if the husband should die, she is cleared from the law of the husband. 3 So then, if she is to another man, the husband being alive, she will be called an adulteress; but if the husband should die, she is free from the law, so as for her not to be an adulteress, having been to another man.

4 Likewise, my brothers, you also have been put to death to the Law through [/by means of] the body of Christ, for you to belong to another, to the One having been raised out from the dead, so that we should bear fruit to God.

I enjoy your passion and defense of the Law. Instead of rebutting point for point, let me lay forth my view of the matter and the interested reader can compare.

The Law was given as the conditions of the Israelite as he entered into a Contract (or Covenant) with God. These condiitons are summarized in Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 28. The Law should achieve the following;
  1. It should cause a lifestyle that makes men who have God living in their midst ritually clean. Israel is the one Nation that has the presence of God and because He is a holy (separate) God, they must be holy
  2. It should cause a lifestyle in which the righteousness of God is displayed, to the Israelite first and then to the Nations around them who watch
  3. It should cause a situation where men and the earth are cared for
Habitual breaking of the Law was threatened with God not dwelling in their midst, God calling them "LO-ammi" - "you are not my people", and God scattering them out of the Land into the lands of the heathen.

The weakness of the Law was not in itself. The Law is God's Law, it was given by God via angels, it is good and spiritual and a light to the path of men through life. The weakness of the Law was the falleness of men. Romans Chapter 7 establishes beyond doubt that man, who is subject to another Law, the Law of sin and death, will always fail in matters of Law. It is like the law of gravity. Men are inexorably drawn to the earth even if they don't want to be. So God promised Israel a New Covenant of Law that was better. The Law was the same Law given by Moses, but the New Covenant would be, like the law of sin and death, be inscribed INSIDE the man, not outside on stone Tablets. This would create a bias in the Israelite where he would intrinsically tend toward keeping the Law. Jeremiah 31:31-33 says that this New Covenant would only be given "in the day" when the ten northern Tribes called Israel, and the two southern Tribes called Judah, were ONE NATION AGAIN and IN THEIR LAND.

So if nothing changed, Israel would stay under chastisement until God extended mercy on them and gathered them back to their Land. The Law does not change one bit. Not a "jot" or "tittle" would be modified or moved from its contents, until the present heaven and earth as we know it, was removed.

But something did change. The councils of the Almighty are immutable, and Jehovah did not intend man to display Him by Laws. In Genesis 2 God lays forth how a man, and men, might display Him properly. The way He chose was that man would eat of Christ and thus become organically one with Christ. You are what you eat. Within hours of eating something it permeates your entire being. And if one ate Jesus, one would, within the shortest time, be partakers of His nature. If a man had the nature of Christ he would automatically display Jehovah in every thought, word and deed. The example of this is Jesus Himself. He, from His mother's womb, did only that which His Father commanded and that which He saw His Father do. A dog barks, not because it is commanded to bark. It does it by NATURE. Our Lord Jesus was obedient in all not through a deep self-discipline. He was obedient by nature. This is a far superior way of displaying something. The "something" is not outside the person. It is intrinsic. It is organically one with the person. He is not subject to Law of Words. He is now subject to a Law of LIFE.

But the depths of man's depravity are unfathomable and relentless. Israel refuse Jesus Christ and His NATURE - which was to be had by believing in Him. By refusing Jesus, the CONTRACT REMAINS. Israel's Covenant of Law stands. Neither men, nor God, once having made a Contract, annul it. And so Israel's path was one of Law. The only thing that God can do is make a New COVENANT, but with the same conditions. But what of those Israelites who embraced God's plan to infuse a second and divine nature into men? This presents a major problem. The Law, the conditions of this Contract of Law, forbade Israelites to have relations with Gentiles. An Israelite who embraced Christ could not meet or have fellowship with a Gentile - by God's decree. So the UNITY of the believers was annulled by the Law. How does God solve this problem of His own decree? Beautifully - as always.

God sets forth a New BIRTH and a resulting New Man. And because this New Man comes out of Christ (like Eve came out of Adam), this New Man is a totally New Creature WITHOUT A PAST (2nd Cor.5:17). The Israelite who embraces Christ might be an Israelite to the authorities in Tel Aviv who issue passports, but to God he has no past. The Inuit of Alaska might have a U.S. passport, but if he believes in Jesus he is a New Creation and has no past. But immediately the objection will be raised that the New Man has no past but the Law remains. It is guaranteed an existence till the White Throne in Revelation 20 when heaven and earth flee. So AGAIN, God applies the death of Christ. If you were under Law and you came out of Christ, then you also went to death IN him and Law ceases at death (Rom.7:1-6; 1st Cor.7:39). Those who are IN CHRIST are freed from Law because the One Who fulfilled the Law in every aspect died. Those IN Christ have no past. Their beginning is not the womb but the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. The Law that the believer finds himself under is the LAW OF LIFE.

The Law of Moses, which, forbidding relations between Israelite and Gentile, and which would have destroyed the unity of believers, is NAILED - WITH CHRIST -on the cross. But listen now. This end of the Law ONLY APPLIES TO THE BELIEVER!!!!! The Israelite who had a Covenant is STILL UNDER LAW!!!! Only those IN CHRIST have NO LAW. Our Lord Jesus started a new creation at His resurrection, and in this new creation His LIFE REIGNS - His NATURE is the governing force. But the Jew who refuses Christ is still governed by Moses. This is no more clearly seen that the condition for the recovery and restoration of Israel. The restoration of Israel is NOT dependent on believing in Christ. It is that Israel turn back to the LAW (Deut.30:1-5).

In summary;
  • The Law is only given to Israel. The Gentile is governed by conscience
  • The Law is good and given by God
  • The Law was given like a schoolmaster until Jesus came
  • If an Israelite does not want Jesus he remains under CONTRACT of Law
  • Christ fulfilled the Law and then went to death - ending the Law
  • If an Israelite embraces and believes in Jesus, he is counted to be IN Christ and He died, ending the demands of law
  • Those IN Christ are subject to Christ's LIFE - the divine nature in Him (2nd Pet.1:4)
  • The Law will not pass till heaven and earth pass. The CONTRACT WILL. It is NOT, "a new law", it is a New COVENANT
Sounds like Spirit of truth to me i like how you gave different insight on same topic.

I love how Romans explains the bondage were free from life in flesh (without spirit) I don't see how people think gods holy commandments were to blame the fall is real.
