How else are we to treat this interloper? They spread their anti-Christian opinions on a Christian web forum and expect to be treated as kings???

IF this person had come and asked about things instead of telling us in no uncertain terms that our faith was entirely and completely wrong then we could have begun our relationship in a kinder and more palatable manner. But instead he attacked us first and not in some mellow way.

Webchatter, this is why he got the reaction he got and I for one will not be compromising with that sort anytime soon.

Maybe this will help concerning the law (given), salvation given, faith given, and good works given.
I believe almost all would agree that the only law we've ever had has not changed, but we now understand the law of the everlasting priesthood. Love is what we want to give to all, and there is a right and wrong for every specific situation. A soldier of this everlasting priesthood has the same law that promotes Love. A soldier being watched by a pastor or elder or teacher etc will see a group of actions, attitudes, thoughts, and words which are most likely different than the A,A,T,and words of the pastors, teachers, preachers, etc. As long as the message is promoting love, then we know them by this fruit, and can continue to watch and prove that real love is the goal.

My advice is to check your heart, soul, mind, and strength for correct perspective in single minded obedience, and make sure you know you're not the earthen vessel, but you're the eternal spirit born and made of Light/Love/God. If a person has a hard time accepting that they are not male or female, that they will have a new earthen vessel, that they don't have a separate family or their own family to be a Father to, that they are from Heaven, then they are just like all of us if they approve of love and are still maturing.

I have experienced that misguided/wrongly motivated spirits will not approve with words and works the following example of the Kingdom of Heaven on and in earth. The following is what I continue to look for and work to establish, cause I'm a soldier trying to find or make an outpost of The Kingdom of Heaven on and in earth.

King James Version Acts 2:44 44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

King James Version Acts 4:32 32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

My question is this:
Who would approve of gathering for edification daily? Who would approve of only working a job that is working for the Lord, and working for the world for money at the same time if possible? I am starting (trying to start) a barter faire that allows people to live on private property with others doing the same, which is selling their merchandise while being a constant spiritual food cart.

I see that this is what the world needs to see, and it is the eternal law of liberty/love/peace, etc. What an example that would be for others. We're probably going to be forced (a gift) to willfully do something similar, so we might as well get started showing that our quality of life should be the same as the rest of our family that is trying to help others and ourselves last.

I may have gotten off topic, but I see that the root is what is important.

We really have the same understanding, Red. It is just that you feel you must tell of the wonders of Yahwah as He was after the resurrection, and I want so much for everyone to know that Yahwah always was from creation, His wonders were completed at His life and death on earth but Yahwah and the Father is one. The wonders of our life here include God the Father, His love, mercy, and desire for our salvation is the same now, yesterday and forever. Yahwah was powerful, even when the blood of animals was used as a symbol only of His blood.

Lev_4:20 He is to offer this bull just as he did with the bull in the sin offering; he will offer it the same way. So the priest will make atonement on their behalf, and they will be forgiven.
Lev_4:26 He must burn all its fat on the altar, like the fat of the fellowship sacrifice. In this way the priest will make atonement on his behalf for that person's sin, and he will be forgiven.

ok I guess i did not understand WHY anyone would be upset by original post in this thread, & reply mean spiritedly. I didn't see any" anti-Christian" opinions. Can we be more specific? (not just anger?) This must be a denominational disagreement.

I didnt check to see if he was new. I listenned to a hour some long Youtube he left in a thread
I was impressed with the quality of his work. And also at how well he presents it. And right off
i knew he would be hard to debate.

Although all it took was for him to get to his premise that Augustine started certain
theology...i knew right off he wasnt right. I almost provided him the list of church fathers
from the late 1st century to the fourth...blah blah..i figured he had already been through
that.

I see hes cuttting pretty deep into foundational doctrine...but havnt been around him
to figure his prime directive.

His prime directive is anyone who does not believe as he does is in error. He is a pharisee of pharsees, as I am sure you got from his sayings or you-tube. He is usually followed by another friend. They used to be in here alot. but after getting thronged by about everyone on his false belief, I think they left, but show up from time to time for some reason.

So then you accept his belief and do not believe him to be in error?

Fallacy 1: Sin is an inbred disease people are born with.
...their precious doctrine of Original Sin is Pagan
"And Jesus said to him, "Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone." Mark 10:18

Published on Mar 21, 2012 by Skinski7
"The doctrine that all men are born sinners has it origin in ancient pagan philosophy. It became accepted as orthodoxy in the in the church system around the fourth century due to the prolific influence of Augustine of Hippo.

In this video Mike DeSario gives a short lecture on the history surrounding the introduction of this dangerous doctrine.

The framework of original sin perverts the simplicity of the Gospel message because it redefines the nature of man and thus fundamentals like repentance, faith, grace and salvation likewise must all be redefined.

Original Sin was never taught by the Early Church nor was it ever taught within Judaism."

Myth of Original Sin (part 2) - YouTube

but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness, - 1 Corinthians 1:23

"The Jewish view of the sin of Adam and Eve is very different from the Christian one. In fact, when looked at deeply, it is questionable whether the sin was evil at all.

Judaism is emphatic that a person is born innocent - not evil, not good either, but innocent. We are given a clean slate. But we are not born into an innocent world. The world we are born into is one of challenge, difficulty, pain and evil. But all these are merely means to an end: it is through facing challenges that we grow as human beings, through going through difficulty we bring out deeper resources from within, through pain we become stronger and by combatting evil we create a world of good. So all negativity in the world is just a facade - behind it is ultimate goodness.

That's how reality is now. But it was not like that in the beginning. Adam and Eve were pure beings who entered a perfect world. There was no challenge, pain or death in their world. The "knowledge of good and evil" was a tree that they were told to stay away from in order to maintain this perfect world. "On the day you eat from the tree you will become mortal" said G-d. Eve picked up on a nuance in this warning. Here is my reconstruction of Eve's thought process:

G-d is giving us a choice. We can either remain perfect in a perfect world, or we can ingest the knowledge of good and evil and become imperfect (mortal). What should we choose? Well, G-d created us with a purpose. But what purpose could there be in remaining perfect? G-d was perfect before we were created, so what are we adding? Our purpose must be to face imperfection and make that perfect too, through our own efforts. That's something only we can do, because only we can be imperfect (G-d "can't" do that). So she ate of the tree and convinced Adam to eat it too.

Mortality was not a punishment for eating the fruit, but rather the natural consequence (because only a perfect being is immortal). So too the other "curses" - pain in childbirth and difficulty in making a living are the natural consequences of Eve's choice, because from now on, all achievement has to be earned, which means that nothing can be "born" without hardship.

As descendants of Adam and Eve we have inherited this path - the path of facing challenges, fighting evil and trying to bring the world back to its previous perfection. Every time we overcome a negative urge, or we transform an evil situation to a holy one, we win a battle in this war. We make the world a little bit more comfortable for G-d's presence to be manifest. When the sum total of all the good in all generations reaches a certain point, G-d will send the Messiah. He is a human leader who will teach the world how to put the finishing touches on the work of perfecting the world. He will bring material peace between all nations of the world, he will make peace between the spiritual ideals of how the world should be and the practical reality of how the world is, he will bring down the heavens and reveal them on earth. And he won't die, nor will anyone, because evil and death will have been vanquished for ever.

To summarise:
1) The "sin" of Adam and Eve was in fact a conscious choice, a necessary step in the development of humanity's purpose. It was the introduciton of imperfection into creation - something only humans can do.

2) We are not born evil, but we are born in a world of apparent evil and hidden goodness. Our mission is to reveal that goodness."
Orthodox Judaism/Original Sin

Former Pharisee Paul:

"I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. Now if I do what I do not want, I agree that the law is good. So then it is no longer I that do it, but sin which dwells within me. For I know that nothing good dwells within me, that is, in my flesh. I can will what is right, but I cannot do it. For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I do. Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I that do it, but sin which dwells within me. So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand. For I delight in the law of God, in my inmost self, but I see in my members another law at war with the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin which dwells in my members. Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?" - Romans 7:15-24

"Therefore as sin came into the world through one man and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all men sinned." Rom 5:12

That includes you Mr. Skinsky, and your teacher who is also a sinner.

Fallacy 2: Jesus is your substitution, suffering the wrath and penalty of God in your place, by becoming sin for you.
The At-one-moment teaching of the day is a far cry from the ransom model put forth by the Primitive Church. (Matt. 20:28 & 1 Tim. 2:6) The theme of the Early Churches Reconciliation Message was aimed at the Death of Christ Rescuing man “NOT FROM THE FATHER” but instead from the wicked one (Satan) who has the whole world under his sway!
Jesus suffered and died to pay a debt to Satan?

You have not heard these things from The Almighty Father, but you have heard them from your father, who is the devil.

"The ransom view of the atonement,[1] is one of several doctrines in Christian theology related to the meaning and effect of the death of Jesus Christ. The first major theory of the atonement, the ransom theory of atonement originated in the early Church, particularly in the work of Origen. The theory teaches that the death of Christ was a ransom, usually said to have been paid to Satan, in satisfaction of his just claim on the souls of humanity as a result of sin. Christian philosopher Robin Collins summarized it as follows:

Essentially, this theory claimed that Adam and Eve sold humanity over to the Devil at the time of the Fall; hence, justice required that grace pay the Devil a ransom to free us from the Devil's clutches. God, however, tricked the Devil into accepting Christ's death as a ransom, for the Devil did not realize that Christ could not be held in the bonds of death. Once the Devil accepted Christ's death as a ransom, this theory concluded, justice was satisfied and God was able to free us from Satan's grip.[2]

St. Anselm, the 11th century Archbishop of Canterbury, argued against the ransom view, saying that Satan, being himself a rebel and outlaw, could never have a just claim against humans.[2] The Catholic Encyclopedia calls the idea that God must pay the Devil a ransom "certainly startling, if not revolting."[5] Philosopher and theologian Keith Ward, among others, pointed out that, under the ransom view, not only was God a debtor but a deceiver as well, since God only pretended to pay the debt.

Today, the ransom view of atonement is not widely accepted in the West, except by some Anabaptist peace churches and a few theologians in the Word of Faith movement"
Wikipedia

Thus, the idea of Christ becoming sin on the cross (and thus incurring man’s penalty by being punished by the Father) is entirely based on doctrinal conjecture and representation theories. Even if we were to disregard all the extra non Canonical evidence we can still confirm that Christ sacrifice was WITHOUT spot, since in Him, says John the apostle, there is NO sin! (Heb. 9:13-14 & 1 Jn.3:5) Thus, Christ DID NOT become blackened with imputed sin on the cross (so you could be imputed with His Righteousness), which means, the transfer is fraudulent and the WRATH of God continues to abide on the children of disobedience! (Eph. 5:6) Also keep in mind that “impute” does NOT mean “transfer.”
Nowhere does orthodoxy claim Jesus BECAME a sinner.

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all To fall on Him. - Isaiah 53:6

Yet it was the LORD's will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the LORD makes his life a guilt offering, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the LORD will prosper in his hand. - Isaiah 53:10

As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, As He will bear their iniquities. - Isaiah 53:11

For our transgressions - The prophet here places himself among the people for whom the Messiah suffered these things, and says that he was not suffering for his own sins, but on account of theirs. The preposition 'for' (מן min) here answers to the Greek διά dia, on account of, and denotes the cause for which he suffered and means, even according to Gesenius (Lex.), here, 'the ground or motive on account of, or because of which anything is done.' Compare Deuteronomy 7:7; Judges 5:11; Esther 5:9; Psalm 68:30; Sol 3:8. It is strikingly parallel to the passage in Romans 4:25 : 'Who was delivered for (διά dia) our offences.' Compare 2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 9:28; 1 Peter 2:24. Here the sense is, that the reason why he thus suffered was, that we were transgressors. All along the prophet keeps up the idea that it was not on account of any sin of which he was guilty that he thus suffered, but it was for the sins of others - an idea which is everywhere exhibited in the New Testament.

Also keep in mind that “impute” does NOT mean “transfer.”
Philemon 1
Plea for Onesimus, a Free Man

10I appeal to you for my child Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my imprisonment, 11who formerly was useless to you, but now is useful both to you and to me. 12I have sent him back to you in person, that is, sending my very heart, 13whom I wished to keep with me, so that on your behalf he might minister to me in my imprisonment for the gospel; 14but without your consent I did not want to do anything, so that your goodness would not be, in effect, by compulsion but of your own free will. 15For perhaps he was for this reason separated from you for a while, that you would have him back forever, 16no longer as a slave, but more than a slave, a beloved brother, especially to me, but how much more to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord.

17If then you regard me a partner, accept him as you would me. 18 But if he has wronged you in any way or owes you anything, charge that to my account; 19I, Paul, am writing this with my own hand, I will repay it (not to mention to you that you owe to me even your own self as well). 20Yes, brother, let me benefit from you in the Lord; refresh my heart in Christ.

Romans 5
10For if while we were enemies [OF GOD, NOT SATAN] we were reconciled to God [NOT SATAN] through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

12Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned— 13for until the Law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who had not sinned in the likeness of the offense of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come.

Your denial of total depravity would imply that the natural man is capable of living perfect holy life without the sovereign work of Christ and salvation is not by the God's grace.
You err in connecting the denial of an "inborn sin nature" with a "denial of grace." Augustine of Hippo accused his oppenants in a similar vein. His opponents realized that he was teaching things that were rooted in Gnostic Philosophy and thus called him out on it.

One of his opponents was Julian of Eclanum and he made this statement,

"We maintain that men are the work of God, and that no one is forced unwillingly by His power either into evil or good, but that man does either good or ill of his own will; but that in a good work he is always assisted by God's grace, while in evil he is incited by the suggestions of the devil." Julian of Eclanum.

The major problem with the teaching that one is BORN totally depraved is how it completely redefines sin from being a moral choice to that of being a natural condition. Take the time to think about that for a minute.
Under the doctrine of Original Sin, the actual sins committed by a sinner are understood to be necessitated by the natural condition of the sinner which therefore cancels out individual responsibility for one's own sin. Sinners will claim, “I was born that way.”

Look at this perfect example from this thread,

Jon4TheCross said:
It is not my fault that the old man sinned, but it can be my fault if I approve of evil. I don't approve of evil and still have the motivated free will to love by the power of God.

See how Jon clearly denies he is at fault for his sin. He is saying that he “doesn’t approve” of his “old man sin” nevertheless he denies he was responsible for it. Under such a belief it is simply impossible to truly repent because true repentance is wrought by godly sorrow. Godly sorrow is where YOU take responsibility for your rebellion as opposed to blaming the way you were born. The Prodigal Son WAS NOT born in the pig pen, he WILLFULLY CHOSE to leave the Father and thus ended up there.

I urge you to contemplate that "the denial of one’s own culpability for one’s own sin makes it impossible to truly repent."

This dangerous teaching lies at the root of the majority of what is taught as Christianity today. Take a look at what the Westminster Confession where it teaches in Article 6...
I. Our first parents, being seduced by the subtilty and temptations of Satan, sinned, in eating the forbidden fruit.[1] This their sin, God was pleased, according to His wise and holy counsel, to permit, having purposed to order it to His own glory.[2]
II. By this sin they fell from their original righteousness and communion, with God,[3] and so became dead in sin,[4] and wholly defiled in all the parts and faculties of soul and body.[5]
III. They being the root of all mankind, the guilt of this sin was imputed;[6] and the same death in sin, and corrupted nature, conveyed to all their posterity descending from them by ordinary generation.[7]
IV. From this original corruption, whereby we are utterly indisposed, disabled, and made opposite to all good,[8] and wholly inclined to all evil,[9] do proceed all actual transgressions.[10]
V. This corruption of nature, during this life, does remain in those that are regenerated;[11] and although it be, through Christ, pardoned, and mortified; yet both itself, and all the motions thereof, are truly and properly sin.[12]
VI. Every sin, both original and actual, being a transgression of the righteous law of God, and contrary thereunto,[13] does in its own nature, bring guilt upon the sinner,[14] whereby he is bound over to the wrath of God,[15] and curse of the law,[16] and so made subject to death,[17] with all miseries spiritual,[18] temporal,[19] and eternal.[20]
http://www.reformed.org/documents/wcf_with_proofs/
Original Sin completely negates the free-will agency of man. Men are thus victims as opposed to criminals.

A denial of the gnostic doctrine of Original Sin is not a denial of grace nor is it a denial of Jesus Christ and the cross being the only road to salvation. Such charges are scarecrows which are utterly fallacious and false.

The grace of God has appeared to ALL MEN teaching us how to live and it is through this leading of God that all men may be saved.

Tit 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
Tit 2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
God works within the individual to WILL AND TO DO of His good pleasure.
Php 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

The believer responds by WORKING OUT their salvation with fear and trembling.
Php 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
Work Out - katergazomai
From G2596 and G2038; to work fully, that is, accomplish; by implication to finish, fashion: - cause, do (deed), perform, work (out).

The above is a clear representation of how faith and grace work in regards to the salvation of the soul. It is the grace of God which brings salvation and grace teaches men how to live. It is “by faith” that Christian’s APPLY what God teaches to their life. Faith is the working dynamic of action. Faith = Doing = Obedience.

In regards to Php 2:12 you will NEVER find one of these “not of works” heretics, who populate the pulpits today, define “katergazomai” for their listeners. If they were to do so they would expose themselves.

It is by God's grace that He pardons those who come to Him through repentance and faith and it is by God's grace that the blood of Jesus Christ is applied to those who WALK in the light. Don't be deceived by the false doctrine of inborn depravity and the false charge brought against which states that “those who reject inborn depravity deny grace.” The Patristic Church DID NOT teach inborn depravity, they upheld the moral nature of sin and also the moral nature of righteousness and they defended the free will of man.

On the contrary, according to the scriptures, everyone is born with a corrupt nature and is far from righteous until they are redeemed by the blood of Christ.

The scripture does not teach that man is born with a corrupt nature. You won’t find a single verse of scripture saying such a thing. Men read this Gnostic philosophy into the scriptures because they approach the Bible already biased towards the doctrines of men.
The scripture teaches that man is created upright and they turn from God and go their own way. If you claim that men and women are “born evil” then you are actually blaming God for the sins of men. Whether the evil nature is implanted in the soul at conception (Federal Headship/Creation Theory) or whether the evil nature is passed down via seminal means in the male seed (Natural Headship/Traducianist Theory) it really does not matter. It really doesn’t matter how you cut it, instead of sinners being responsible for CHOOSING to sin and thus being condemned CRIMINALS in the eyes of God, the sinner becomes a VICTIM whose sin was NECESSITATED by their inborn sin nature.
The doctrine of Original Sin is a true masterpiece of satanic deception. Inborn sin is a satanic teaching rooted in Gnostic philosophy, it is very easily proven. Look it up! Anyone can read the early church writings, the problem is people don’t want to, they would rather remain in their delusion because they are accustomed to it. While it is true that a few of the Latin Father’s hinted at a “vice of origin” they did not teach inborn depravity, it was Augustine who managed to cement that heresy into Augustine in the 4th century. One must really LOVE THE TRUTH in order to come out of this mess.
I urge you to read the early church writings for yourself. Don’t read what people write about the early church writings, actually read through them for yourself and make up your own mind.
Ante-Nicene Father – Vol 1-9
Ante-Nicene Fathers – VOL I – IX : HolyBooks.com – download free ebooks

Nor do I teach that man is born righteous, that is another false charge many people will bring without really examining what I am actually saying. Babies are neither righteous nor unrighteous, they are actually in a neutral state yet subjected to the natural passions and desires of the flesh which ARE NOT sinful. Morality can only exist with the knowledge of doing what is right.
I’ll repeat myself because it is so important, babies are born in a state of ignorance and are naturally subject to the passions and desires of the flesh. If Paul was “born dead and depraved” he would not have written that sin took occasion by the commandment and slew him (Rom 7:9-11). Paul clearly states that he was ALIVE without the law and it was only through violating the law that he died. Adam and Eve died the moment they yielded to temptation and violated KNOWINGLY a direct commandment of God. Spiritual death (dead to God) is a result of willful iniquity.

Jas 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Jas 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Condemnation is only wrought on an individual through their exercise of their free moral agency, when right and wrong are understood , and they CHOOSE TO SIN. Sin is BROUGHT FORTH when the lusts of the flesh are yielding to in disobedience to God.

Such yielding is what happened to Eve.
Gen 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Such yielding is what happens to people today.
Rom 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Many people HATE what I write because I tell them that ALL WILLFUL SIN MUST STOP in repentance. Grace IS NOT a “cloak” for ongoing rebellion. The goodness and forbearance of God (one aspect of His grace) it to lead men to repentance, it is not God's approval.
Rom 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
Rom 2:5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
Rom 2:6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
Rom 2:7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
Rom 2:8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,

Now back to Original Sin. Original Sin defies the following statement made by Ezekial.
Eze 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

Original sin teaches that the son indeed bears the iniquity of the father and that all souls sinned in Adam. Scroll up and read the Westminster Confession again as that is what it plainly states.

There is nothing the natural man can do to meet the holy standard of God; this is why Christ had to offer Himself to atone for sins. To say that the fall of man did not affect humanity means that we do not need Christ's redemption.

Again another misunderstanding on your part. I have never once claimed that "natural man can do something to meet the holy standard of God." What did Abraham find pertaining to the flesh? (Rom 4:1) Without the grace of God man can do nothing. A light bulb cannot shine without a source of power and likewise a human being cannot shine without the power of God. Yet men are not light bulbs because God has granted us the ability to choose. The grace of God has appeared to all men (Tit 2:11) yet we have WORK TOGETHER (2Cor 6:1) with God so that we receive this grace effectually to the saving of the soul. After all we have to receive the implanted word and thus be doers of the word (Jam 1:21-22) and it is through obedience to the truth that we are made clean (1Pet 1:22).

Regarding the effects of the sin of Adam, it affected humanity very much so, we are all “subject to physical death,” the ground was cursed and thus men have to work hard to eat and woman have much pain in child-birth.
Read Genesis 3 for yourself. We are born into a world of trials and tribulation. Yet you will not find any mention of any type of a corruption of nature coming upon the descendents of Adam due to Adam's sin. People read that understanding INTO the Bible.
Gen 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
Gen 3:17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
Gen 3:18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
Gen 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
Gen 3:23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
Gen 3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

Augustine of Hippo was the individual who brought the doctrine of Original Sin into Christian Orthodoxy through his prolific writings. He misapplied Romans 5:12 due to using the Latin Vulgate and thus read “in whom all sinned” instead of “because all sinned.” Augustine taught the Natural Headship theory whereby all the souls of mankind were in Adam and thus, in his view, when Adam sinned all mankind sinned. A few preachers, John MacArthur being a good example, hold to this teaching while most Reformers today hold to the alternate of Federal Headship where they see Adam as the “representative” of all men and thus due to Adam’s sin they teach that God “imputes” sin to the soul at conception.
Look these things up, do your homework. Watch my video on Original Sin where I thoroughly document it.

Inbred sin explains why no one comes into this world seeking righteousness but is inclined to sin (Psalms 58:3). Salvation is through Christ alone.

No it doesn’t, children are born IGNORANT with no knowledge of good or evil and are more like beasts who are simply subject the natural passions of the flesh. It has NOTHING to do with inbred sin. SIN IS MORAL it is not some sort of substance indwelling in flesh.
Read Psalm 58:3 carefully. It is clearly hyperbole. Do babies SPEAK?
Psa 58:3 The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.

Shall their TEETH BE BROKEN?

Psa 58:6 Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD.
God created man upright and THEY have sought out many schemes.

Ecc 7:29 Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions.
I don’t doubt that sinners go wayward very early in life but they do this because they CHOOSE to do so. Remember a young child when they first sin will not have an understanding of the consequences of what they are doing therefore why would not every sin? It is easily the path of least resistance, yet it has nothing to do with some sort of “inborn sin.” If rebellion to God has nothing to do with the free will choice of man then man CANNOT BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE for his rebellion. The Bible even teaches this in Romans chapter 5.
Rom 5:13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

While it indeed can be said that “all unrighteousness is sin” and that “all have fallen short of the glory of God” it is only WILLFUL TRANSGRESSION which brings condemnation. Where there is no law (no knowledge of the right thing to do) sin is not held against an individual.
Rom 5:14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

This is because God has given all men (when they come to the age of reason) a conscience (Joh 1:9, Tit 2:11-12.
Rom 2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God.
Rom 2:12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
Rom 2:13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
Rom 2:14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
Rom 2:15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
Rom 2:16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

The bottom line is that Original Sin is an EXCUSE to keep sinning. Original sin is an EXCUSE as to why people sinned in the past. Original Sin redefines repentance to simply being sorry for being a sinner and negates the aspect of FORSAKING or STOPPING SIN. Thus an entire FALSE GOSPEL has been created which teaches that men can be SAVED and yet REMAIN IN REBELLION. It is SATAN’s Gospel and it is leading MILLIONS OF PEOPLE TO ETERNAL RUIN.

People accuse me of all sorts of evil, the responses in this thread clearly demonstrate that yet, when examined, they ALWAYS present a STRAWMAN VERSION of what I say. My words are veiled to their eyes and they simply cannot comprehend the simplicity of the message due to the strong delusion found in the doctrines of men.

Many accuse me of denying the cross which is a lie. Once under condemnation a return to obedience cannot undo past sin. That is why we need the propitiatory offering of Jesus Christ as Rom 3:25 says.
Rom 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
The nation of Israel was totally apostate when Jeremiah and Isaiah were warning the people that they needed to repent or perish. The religious system in the time of Jesus was thoroughly corrupted and it was them who persecuted Jesus and His followers.

It is no different today, the church system is completely apostate and devoid of the true Gospel message. Those beholden to the lie will often viciously attack those who call people to a genuine repentance and faith, those who call people to holiness, those who call people to crucify their flesh with the passions and desires.

BE NOT DECEIVED!

Sin is a fatal disease ( Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:) that's why we cant be saved by works because it is there regardless of how well we live; that is why we need Jesus as the only cure..... HOWEVER, it does NOT negate the responsibility for crucifying the flesh..... in fact if anyone be in CHRIST he is a new creation; therefore that sin nature is no longer a sustainable excuse for continuing in sin for we have been empowered by the same SPIRIT that raised Christ from the dead to have victory over it. Many people failed to realise that when CHRIST came to earth, He did not depend on His deity, he lived as a man and depended on the HOLY SPIRIT; thereby showing us that we can depend on the HOLY SPIRIT to be our help..... Its a matter of putting speech in proper context.

Skinski7, you quoted me in the previous post, and it's clear that you misunderstood the tongue I was speaking in. Who am I? From the perspective and tongue of the flesh I am Jonathan Winters, sinner, dead from the beginning. From the perspective of the spirit, I do not know my name, have never sinned, am not male or female, do not have a family of my own that is not yours also, and am less than an hour old.

I just wanted to clarify, cause sometimes I speak in a spiritual tongue/understanding which is not picked up by some.

When does every baby commit their first sin, Mr. Skinski?

So, ignore your hatred for all men falling in Adam for a moment.

Please solve this problem if you can:

9What then? Are we better than they? Not at all; for we have already charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin;

10as it is written,
“THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE;

11THERE IS NONE WHO UNDERSTANDS,
THERE IS NONE WHO SEEKS FOR GOD;

12ALL HAVE TURNED ASIDE, TOGETHER THEY HAVE BECOME USELESS;
THERE IS NONE WHO DOES GOOD,
THERE IS NOT EVEN ONE
.”

Does God say all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God?
Does all mean all?
So what difference does it make, Mr. Skinsky?
All means every single one. Including you.

Morality can only exist with the knowledge of doing what is right.
1Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 2“Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘If a person sins unintentionally in any of the things which the LORD has commanded not to be done, and commits any of them, 3if the anointed priest sins so as to bring guilt on the people, then let him offer to the LORD a bull without defect as a sin offering for the sin he has committed. 4‘He shall bring the bull to the doorway of the tent of meeting before the LORD, and he shall lay his hand on the head of the bull and slay the bull before the LORD - Leviticus 4

Why is a blood atonement needed for sins committed in ignorance, or unintentionally?

It is you and your kind who hold such a shallow view of sin. And such a high view of man.

And what about your doctrine of devils which claims Christ died to pay a debt to Satan?
Monstrous heresy.

Marrianna,

Mar 10:17 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
Mar 10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

Mark 10:18 does not prove Original Sin. God is the source of all that is good and without him there are none good and that is what it appears Jesus is clearly teaching there. Compared to God there are none good thus we all need God. Or perhaps Jesus is making an allusion to the fact that He is God. What is sure though is that He IS NOT teaching Original Sin with His statement, nor is Jesus teaching that none can be good. The Bible is full of allusions to good people.

Pro_12:2 A good man obtaineth favour of the LORD: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.

Was Jesus illustrating an impossibility with the following statement?

Mat_12:35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

You also raised Rom 5:12 as a proof text for Original Sin. Let's examine it...

Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Death passed upon all men because all HAVE sinned. That verse DOES NOT SAY that "sin passed upon all men" it says DEATH.

Augustine used that verse as his primary proof text for Original Sin because he read it like this...

Wherefore as by one man sin entered into this world and by sin death: and so death passed upon all men, in whom all have sinned.

]propterea sicut per unum hominem in hunc mundum peccatum intravit et per peccatum mors et ita in omnes homines mors pertransiit in quo omnes peccaverunt
Latin Vulgate Bible with Douay-Rheims and King James Version Side-by-Side+Complete Sayings of Jesus Christ

"in Quo" is an error. Augustine did not use the Greek when he framed the doctrine of Original Sin but used the Latin Vulgate.

Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Augustine viewed sin as some sort of SUBSTANCE which was passed down in the male seed and that teaching was taught by the Manichean Gnostics. Augustine was schooled in this philosophy for 9 years before he converted to Catholicism.

When you quote Rom 5:12 as proof for Original Sin all you are doing is repeating Augustine's error.

SIN IS MORAL!

SIN IS NOT A DISEASE!

Jas 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
1Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

You are right though for Judaism did not and still does not teach the doctrine of Original Sin, they taught free will. They taught the concepts of Yetzer Tov (moral conscience) and Yetzer Ra (evil desire/concupisence/temptation). Sin unto death was when the Yetzer Tov was willfully violated in order to satisfy the Yetzer Ra.

The natural passions and desires of the flesh ARE NOT sinful. It is only sinful when they are YIELDED to in order to gratify the flesh in disobedience to God. For example the sexual desire is not evil in itself, only when it is abused either in lusting in the mind, fornication or adultery. The natural desire is simply natural.

Marianna,

I have also NEVER CLAIMED that Jesus died to pay a sin debt to Satan. It was Origen in the early church who first proposed that the ransom was paid to Satan and from what I have read this was not a very popular view.

I personally reject it simply because if a ransom was paid to Satan that supposedly set men free from the power of Satan then that would mean that no-one would be in bondage today. It simple doesn't make sense in my mind.

While I don't claim to understand the ransom view completely it is clearly taught in the Bible. My understanding is that the ransom was paid to us in the sense that Jesus Christ gave up something on our behalf, suffered on our behalf, was an example on our behalf, and that He calls us to die with Him.

So while Jesus Christ offered Himself to God as a sin offering whereby our previous sins can be washed away He also died as an example for us so that we can die with Him. We die with Him and are raised up to newness of life with Him. The Scriptures clearly teach this.

It is true the Ransom View is not widely accepted. Not since Anselm proposed Satisfaction and then the Reformers added the judicial element to it and invented Penal Substitution.

Penal Substitution is pure heresy for it teaches that God does not forgive sins but rather punishes the innocent in order to excuse the guilty. Not only that it is a view of the cross which twists it into a CLOAK for ongoing rebellion.

Penal Substitution deals with the condemnation of sin for it completely eliminated where we die with Christ which is where one is truly freed from the bondage of sin. Satan has masterfully deceived millions of people that they can be granted entrance into the kingdom while REMAINING workers of iniquity.

It one of the most deadly deceptions I have ever born witness to and people swallow the lie so easily.

You then quote Philemon as to refute the statement that "impute does not mean transfer."

Phm 1:18 If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account;
Phm 1:19 I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it: albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides.

That is Paul writing to Philemon in the context of telling him not to hold anything against Onesimus. That is a huge stretch to try and imply that somehow support that the righteousness or obedient track record of Jesus Christ is transferred to the believers account.

Jesus DID NOT OBEY FOR YOU. Jesus Christ commanded that YOU OBEY. He said KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS.

Who does God RECKON as righteous?

Rom 4:11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:
Rom 4:12 And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.

There is no magic transfer like many teach today. When one truly repents and thus forsakes all known rebellion to God they can then approach God with a genuine faith and receive the implanted word thus yielding to God from the heart. God looks at the heart and those who have been purified by an obedient faith are COUNTED or IMPUTED righteous by God. He washes away their past misconduct and treats them as if they never rebelled.

The "magic cloak" or "blessed exchange" sure is comforting to those who refuse to forsake their rebellion to God because it gives them a false assurance that they can enter into the kingdom in their iniquity. It is Satan's age old lie of "Ye Shall Not Surely Die" given a modern spin.

Don't be deceived!
