Savedandhopeful,

there is a lot that we all can still learn. The reason why it is so important to discuss the issue over the different bible versions out there. Is because the modern versions change vital doctrines of the Christian faith. They remove whole verses, change words, omit words, add words and so on. Just the NIV alone has removed somewhere around 64,000 words from the text of the Bible. And Jesus Christ warned those who would add or take out words from His Book:

18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. - Revelation 22:18-19 (KJV)

And if you want to know how important and the level of value that God places on His word. Well then let's read this verse:

138 I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.
2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. - Psalm 138:1-2 (KJV)

God places His word above His very name. And if God values His word that greatly. Then we Christians also ought to have reverence and great regard for the word of God.

Another important thing is that you believe God and His word. As a Bible believer, I simply believe that God kept His promise to preserve His pure words. And I have them. And you can know that you have them to.

Don't let anyone destroy your faith in God's holy word.

If there are passages in the Authorized King James Version that you cannot understand, well then seek the Lord in prayer about it and spend more time studying the Scriptures. Remember the Bible is a spiritual Book. It is spiritually discerned (1 Corinthians 2:14).

Another thing you may want to consider doing, is purchasing the Alexander Scourby App or DVD. And as you are listening to Alexander Scourby read the King James Bible to you, you can have your King James Bible open and follow along in reading. Well it's a suggestion.

I hope this was a help to you Savedandhopeful. And if you are still unsure about which side is right on the Bible Version Issue. Then I encourage you to pray about it to God, and pray that He would open your eyes to see the truth regarding this important issue.

..
Thank you for your suggestion.....I can see how that would be helpful..but I do not own a KJV at this time, and won't be purchasing one right now..

Peace be with you, please start using an easier version you would understand not on your own but by the help of the HOLY SPIRIT the anointing in you. Let this be your faith in the true Teacher who will guide into the full truth.
As it is written; "Not by might nor by power (of men and women) but by My SPIRIT says the LORD."
It is not by what men and women claim about the versions but by the HOLY SPIRIT who will lead us in revelations through these versions which GOD has allowed.
Basically we need to know who is in full control of Heaven and earth even now that it is written; "HE will not leave us nor forsake us."

I got baptized for the first time as a child, later in my young adulthood I truly understood who Christ is and what he had done for me on the cross. I found a bible called the Transformer NKJV , a bible that through the Holy spirit , Taught me God's word.
The word of God is spirit, your flesh (body) is an enemy against God's word. You are also spirit which needs and desires to be filled with His presence and word.
So, when I picked up my bible I would ask God to show me His word through the Holy Spirit, to reveal Himself to me.
As I began He was faithful and the Holy Spirit taught me.
I would Highlight words as they became clear and the revelation of God's Son was amazing.. As I came across scriptures that I was unclear about, I would underline and then later I would go back and read again and again God's word became clear.
[h=1]John 14:26[/h]26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

Bibles that help in my opinion... ;o) The transformer / young adults and the ESV study bible

God Bless You
