What is showing this kind of love people throw around.

I mean Jesus tells us how he expresses his love for those he actually loves this way

Rev 3:19 As many as I love,
I rebuke and chasten:
be zealous therefore, and repent.

Lots of folks believe as many as he loves he blows kisses to and gives ya a hug for your sins or something.

I see what you mean. I have a bad habit of sticking my foot in my mouth so I apologize to anyone if I say something that offends them in anyway

And God sends His Spirit to us to reprove the world of sin...

John 16:7-8[SUP]7 [/SUP]Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

God commands His Students, Disciples, followers to make 'Righteous Judgment' unfortunately the devil has taken this and ran with it making it 'truth' that no one can making any Judgment because Jesus said 'judge not'.. those Words are aimed at the Stage Player, the hypocrite, who hold out the truth in un righteousness.. man made religion, His Spirit will guide you in making Righteous Judgment, its done in Truth, and In Meekness, and In Mercy and Love...

Judge not according to the appearance, but judge Righteous Judgment. John 3

I think somebody wanted a little too much power when they concluded that the Holy Spirit was sent "to us" to promote us to the status of being righteous judges of other people.

I think you will find that verse meant "to mankind" in order that they would be convicted in their hearts, NOT so that we would have a "Holy" club to beat them over the head with.

No HolyClub here, but I will tell you there are main line Pentecostal 'groups' denominations that are HolyClub in nature just as they will be used to 'make the DNA 'gospel' proliferate during Daniels 70th week... the gospel of 'man'.. those coming along with another Gospel, we are to 'judge' those 'fruits'.. the wicked on the outside.. these God will Judge, unfortunately satan has been alive and well sowing his 'judge not lest ye be judged' theory.... I heard this from so many back in 1994, when Making Righteous discernment, and then the weeds tares wolves in sheep's clothing would come attacking you for doing What Jesus commanded you to do, when discerned and their fruit tested, false, yet professing a perverted love and truth in christ.. WRONG... alot of those that got in my face during that time, they are no longer walking on top of the earth, but below the earth....

I think you will find if all "mankind" had the Spirit of Truth they would confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, but we who have the Spirit know this is not true, as the whole world lieth in wickedness and is under the influence of another spirit.

1 John 4:6
We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Be very careful what boundaries you are overstepping. You and I were BOTH called by the Spirit long before we HAD the Spirit inside us. The Holy Spirit was sent to the entire world, to initially convict them (us, back then) of their sinful condition. The Holy Spirit is not some private possession of Christians.

There is nothing so vexing, it seems, to today's Christian than the widely discussed, debated, and stated "confusion about sexual orientation" -- whether or not such confusion is real or not is beside the point. The issue is obviously at the forefront of many Christians' objections to the secular world view that mostly embraces LGBT lifestyles and people groups. But we forget these are people no different than the adulterer, the liar, the thief, the murder ...

... no different than us at one time, in other words.

All need Christ, and all can have Christ before the devastating trial of any of those sins becomes apparent in their lives.

Regardless of who we are, there are needs that are certainly common to all people, regardless of the sexual practice they espouse. The need for salvation and the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit are the same for them as for anyone in the world today.

However, I do see other needs that, while not unique to their experience, are felt more intensely than most feel them. They have the need to be humanized and not objectified. They have the need to be loved and not hated. They have the need to be embraced and not shunned. They have the need to be invited and not picketed. They have the need for a gentle conversation and not angry shouting.

Jesus would do none of these things to anyone identifying as LGBT. He would love them while at the same time reaching out to them where they are at, reproving, correcting, admonishing, teaching. But no matter what, He would always love them.

If we do not emulate Jesus, even in regards to the members of the LGBT community -- perhaps especially toward them -- do we really have a part in Christ?

Matthew 22, NASB
37 And He said to him, " 'YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.'
38 "This is the great and foremost commandment.
39 "The second is like it, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.'
40 "On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets."

Yes, God condemns homosexual behavior. But He condemns it no more strongly than any other sin. There are some here who need to think about that.

Not really. The Holy Spirit has another task, too. With prayer to Him, you honestly WILL re-read some of these posts, and say, "Oh, I see now!"

that spirit that influences mankind , outside God's Own People, His Elect, would be the spirit of disobedience, the spirit of error, spirit of lawlessness, Paul called it the Mystery of Iniquity, the whole world lieth in it, Paul said the prince of the power of the air, the god of this world, satan, reigns over it.......... Even though its darkness and error, God still sits Sovereignly Over it, Working Out His Plan of Redemption out as Foretold in the Word of God and Decreed before time and dirt were created....... Seeking and Saving His Own, within the Darkness, 'thy Will be done on Earth', and outside the Darkness, this coming from His Decreed Plan set down before Dirt and Time were created... 'as it is in Heaven'.. God stands outside of time, He created Time thru Christ, Sits outside of it, yet controls it and CAN move within time itself, A Supernatural God , that has no beginning and no ending.. He Has Always Been! God is the ONLY one that can pull a person form the Mystery of Iniquity, its tentacles, its power, (satanic) and set them down In God's Will and Light.. Only He can do that. man tries to attempt on his own.. but he fails.. God DIDNT FAIL, Christ was Perfect in His Act of Redemption, the Propitiation!

That is true, good verses

1 John 5:19 And we know that we are of God,
and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

And Jesus said the same in this manner

John 8:47
He that is of God heareth God's words:
ye therefore hear them
not, because ye are not of God.

To be honest. All I know now is God has shown me great love and understanding and I want everyone to feel that way. Its a rather naive notion but I can pray for it.

Son, becoming a Christian means a transformation of thought, speech, and behavior. One cannot claim to be a Christian and continue in the same sins that have characterized his life. Repentance means putting one's old life behind with its sinful practices and becoming a NEW creature. If you are suggesting that God accepts one as a Christian while still willingly living in homosexuality then you have a rather misconstrued understanding about the love and patience of God.

Because I speak the Truth I need to be careful? It is you who needs to be careful, not knowing the Truth.

John 14:17
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

You are absolutely right. While we are obligated to challenge sin in ALL its forms we are also obligated to respond in love.
