Genesis 12

At the beginning of this chapter God tells Abram to migrate and he will bless him and make him a great nation. So he leaves Haran when he is 75. So once again, we are told about a faithful servant of God when he is old. We don’t know anything about him before. And he moves with his family to Haran. But he has to go to Egypt because there is a famine in Canaan. As Sarai is beautiful so he fears the Egyptians will kill him to get her. So he tells her to say that she just is his sister. And Sarai is brought to the house of Pharaoh who treats Abram well because of Sarai. But then God strikes Pharaoh with severe plagues because of Sarai. So Pharaoh sends Abram away.

And Abram told the truth when he said that Sarai was his sister. Such a union was still possible at this time without any consequences. And Abram was intelligent and wary. That’s what we get at this time of Abram’s history.

Genesis 13

Abram leaves Egypt to go to the Negueb with his wife and Lot. He is very rich in livestock, silver and Gold. He camps from place to place. He goes to a place between Bethel and Ai where he had previously built an altar and there he calls on the name of God. The land is not sufficient for Abram and Lot because of their livestocks. So they decide to separate. Abram lives in the land of Canaan and Lot lives among the cities of the district. He finally chooses Sodom. There the men are wicked, gross sinners against God. And God promises to give Abram this land of Canaan.

- This chapter tells us to be careful to where we go and who meet!

- The next chapters will enhance this reality!

- The price may be really high to pay!

Genesis 14

There is a war and Sodom and Gomorrah lose. And Lot is taken by the victors. Someone escapes and tells Abram. So he mobilizes his trained men (318 men) and pursues the victors. And he defeats the victors and recovers all the goods and Lot and the other people. And he meets Melchizedek king of Salem who is priest of the Most High God and Melchizedek blesses him. And Abram gives him a tenth of everything. And he gives back everything to the king of Sodom.

- We see Abram as a man of action who doesn’t lose time and reacts all at once to save Lot!

- He knows what belongs to God by giving a tenth of everything!

- And he is not greedy because he could have kept everything but he gives back to the king of Sodom what belongs to him!

- We can easily understand why he was chosen by God!

Genesis 15

Abram is childless and god tells him he will get a son. And he makes the promise to give him the land of Canaan. Then Abram makes an offering to God. Then a deep sleep falls upon him. In his sleep, God tells Abram that his offspring will be foreigners in a foreign country and enslaved and afflicted for 400 years. But after that, God will free them. And Abram will die old. And his offspring will come back to canaan. And God makes a covenant with Abram and a promise about the promised land.

- Here we get an important and essential promise for Abram about the promised land of Canaan!

- And a son too!

Genesis 16

Abram and Sarai have no children So Sarai tells Abram to have relations with her servant Agar to get a child. So Agar becomes pregnant and she begins to despise her mistress. As a consequence, Sarai humiliates her and she runs away from her. But god’s angel tells her to go back to Sarai and humble herself under her hand. And he tells her that God will make a great nation. She will have a son and she must call him Ishmael. Abram is 86 when Ishmael was born.

- This situation reminds us of Elkanah, Samuel’s father and his two wives!

- Sarai shouldn’t have done that!

- Why make it easier when it is possible to make it more complicated!

- Human beings are really strange especially when they oppose God!

Genesis 17

Abram is now 99 and god tells him he will multiply him. And he changes his name in Abraham because God will make him a father of many nations. And he makes an everlasting covenant and his offspring will get the entire land of Canaan and God will become their God. And every male must be circumcised. Anyone who refuses must be killed. And Abram’s wife becomes Sarah. But Abraham begins to laugh because he is 100 and his wife 90. But God tells him he will have a son with his wife and he will be called Isaac. But Ishmael will also be blessed. So Abraham and all the men of his household get circumcised.

- Well, think about it: having a child at 100 for Abraham and 90 for Sarah!

- What a miracle!

Day one :

- Light
- A division between light and darkness
Praise be to God the Father for bringing the light to the darkness, for bringing us the light of the world, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord!

Grass and seed-bearing plants and trees yielding fruit along with seed on the earth
God is the Creator of all things. He created us in His image. We must thank Him every day for that.

The greater luminary to dominate the day
- The lesser luminary to dominate the night
- The stars
According to scientists, there are over 200 billion galaxies in the observable universe. Each galaxy contains up to 100 trillion stars. In addition, scientists believe that these stars are often made up of planetary systems like ours.

I believe our known universe is the size of the head of a pin to God, which He holds in the palm of His hands. We cannot see Him because He surrounds us with His spirit. He is all-encompassing and will only reveal himself when He is ready.

well said!

Researchers dubbed this the eXtreme Deep Field. All in all, Hubble reveals an estimated 1:0 billion galaxies in the universe or so, but this number is likely to increase to about 200 billion as telescope technology in space improves, Livio told Space.com.1 févr. 2022

I also like to think about the human brain:

- I like when you say he will reveal himself when he is ready!

- I would add when the demonstration of man's inability to govern himself is complete, he will throw away the devil and lead the earth!

- No one will be able to discuss his governance anymore!

Genesis 18

God appears to Abraham and he sees three men standing some distance from him. So he runs to meet them and bows down to the ground; And he offers them to wash their feet and some bread. So he tells his wife to make some bread and prepare a tender good young bull and also brings butter and milk and the three men eat. Then one of them tells Abraham that he will return to him next year and his wife Sarah will have a son. Sarah is listening and she begins to laugh to herself because her husband and she are to old to get a child. So God asks Abraham why Sarah is laughing because nothing is too extraordinary to God. Bud Sarah is afraid so she denies having laughed. God says that Sodom and Gomorrah behave really bad so he sends his angels there but he remains with Abraham! Then Abraham has an argument with God about possible righteous men there. And he tells god he can’t destroy these cities if there are righteous men there starting from 50 and going down to 10 (50,45,40,30,20,10). And each time god says he will not destroy the cities in case he finds righteous men.

- When we hear Abraham, he seems to be at the market trying to sell or buy a product and discussing the price!

- But in fact he speaks to God!

- And God answers patiently to Abraham!

- It seems to be unreal!

- A simple man arguing with god!

- But this man is special to God!

- He is so special to God that he can speak to him in such a way and God patiently answers him!

Genesis 19
The two angels arrive at Sodom by evening and they are received by Lot in his house. Before thy can go to bed, the men of the city – the men of Sodom from boy to old man, all of them – surrounded the house in one mob. They want Lot to bring them so they can have sex with them. But Lot offers his two daughters because the two men have come under his shelter. The two angels take Lot into the house and shut the door. And they strike the men who are at the entrance of the house with blindness. Then they tell Lot to go out with his family because they are going to destroy the city. But his sons-in-law don’t listen to Lot. And they force Lot and his wife and his two daughters to go away and they tell them not to look behind them. But Lot’s wife doesn’t care and looks behind her and she becomes a pillar of salt. His two daughters decide to give wind to their father and then lie down with him to get children because there was no man available in the area. And Lot isn’t conscious of what is happening. So they become pregnant. The two children become fathers of the Moabites and of the Ammonites.

- The men of Sodom from boy to old man!

- Is it possible to be more explicit?

- The whole population is contaminated!

- That’s why God decided to destroy whole cities and to exterminate the populations!

- Only Lot and his two daughters survive because they follow scrupulously what is told to them!

- Lot’s wife doesn’t care, she makes her own cooking but it doesn’t work, on the contrary!

- Same for us, may we listen scrupulously or not, they won’t be any surprise!

- God has warned human beings in his Bible!

- When he cleanses the earth, it will be like in Sodom and Gomorrah!

- No excuse!

Genesis 20
Abraham moves his camp and says that Sarah is his sister instead of his wife. So the king Abimelech takes her but God tells him in a dream at night that he is nearly dead because he takes a woman whereas she is married. But God prevented him to touch her because he didn’t know she was married. And he tells him to return Sarah to Abraham because he is a prophet and Abraham will make supplication for him otherwise he will die, he and his household. So he does according to what God tells him. And Abraham explains he did it because he was afraid of being killed because of his wife. And in fact, she is really his half sister, so half sister and wife. After Abraham’s supplication for Abimelech, the women of his household can become pregnant again because God had made them barren because of Sarah.

- God protects Abraham!

- He calls him a prophet!

- Abraham always let know that Sarah is his sister to save his life!

- Sarah is a beautiful woman!

- And God obliges the king to send her back to Abraham if he doesn’t want to die!

- And Abraham must makes supplication so the king can be saved!

- And everything goes back to normal when everybody does his part according to God!

- And not according to man!

- In the Bible, the this principle is always put ahead!

- But men don’t care, they keep doing according to their will and they get into trouble!

Good.

- God gave simple information for simple people!

- it is always difficult for people to adapt to another time!

- You just have to think about different cultures and how it is difficult to understand for each culture!

- How easy it is to miss one element and misunderstand the whole!

- Then if you add personal interests and then it gets crazy!

- Do we live in modern times or in the Middle Ages!

- Humanism used to go back to the sources because translations were influenced by different factors!

- Take into account that during so many centuries the Bible was only available in Latin which was understood only by a minority!

- Take into account that people would be murdered because they wanted to translate the Bible into languages understood by the majority!

- Take into account that the Bible is the world's most printed, most sold nonfiction book. Because so many copies are given away, sales figures vary widely. Guinness World Records says the total number sold is likely five billion Bibles. Wow!

- How many people really read the Bible today?

- How many people really care about the Bible today?

Genesis 21

As promised, Sarah becomes pregnant and gives birth to Isaac who is circumcised when he is eight days old. Hagar’s son keeps mocking Isaac so Sarah asks Abraham to take them away. And God tells Abraham to listen to Sarah. So he he gives food to them and sends them away. And God will be with the boy as he grows.

- God always keeps his promises as far as the people concerned play their parts!

- God blesses Hagar’s son because of Abraham!

- And he does the same with Isaac!

- The Bible always tells about special relationships between God and faithful individuals!

- But of course, the two parts must play their parts!

- And the human part is often weak and more than weak!

- And it is even worse with the descendants!

- So giving a good education to a child based on the knowledge of God is important but not a guarantee!

- It’s always up to each individual to make the final decision!

- But if there is no good education based on the knowledge of God, you can’t expect anything!

Genesis 1:1&2

The word Genesis simply means generations or creation. In the Hebrew manuscripts it just simply says in the beginning. Very simply put.

Many people will teach that this earth is only 6,000 years old. They do not realize there was an earth age before this one. Both Gods word and science documents that fact.

Verse 1. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Period end of the story. When did it say God did this? In the beginning. When was the beginning? That is the real question here.

Why would someone to say that this earth is only 6,000 years old? I have been to the La bra Tar Pits, The Grand Canyon, Yellowstone and other places that are millions of years old

Many a saber-toothed tiger, dire wolf, mammoth, and ground sloth had the misfortune of “discovering” the La Brea Tar Pits some 40,000 years ago. Excavation on the ice age fossil site—formerly the city’s natural history museum—began in 1915 and continues to this day right in the heart of Los Angeles.

Ash Falls Na.

Of the eighteen species of vertebrates recovered from the Ashfall site, twelve are mammals. The barrel-bodied rhino and five species of horses are the most common skeletons. The variety of species found at Ashfall were common in North America ten to twelve million years ago.
Natural environment
Geology

Yellowstone is situated in a region that has been volcanically and seismically active for tens of millions of years. Tectonic movement of the North American Plate has thinned Earth’s crust in the area, forming a hot spot (a place where a dome of magma, or molten rock, comes close to the surface). About 2.1 million years ago a subsurface magma dome that had been building up in the Yellowstone area blew up in one of the world’s most cataclysmic volcanic eruptions. Some 600 cubic miles (2,500 cubic km) of rock and ash were ejected, equivalent to about 6,000 times the amount of volcanic material that was released during the eruption of Mount Saint Helens in 1980. (Observations made in the early 21st century indicated that this single eruption actually consisted of two events about 6,000 years apart: one very large and a second much smaller one. Subsequent massive eruptions occurred about 1,300,000 and 640,000 years ago—the last event (consisting in large part of lava flows) producing about two-fifths as much material as the first one.

2nd Peter 3:1This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: 2That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: 3Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 5For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

Peter wants you to be be mindful of the words that were spoken of before by the prophets, and the commandments of himself and the other apostles of the Lord and Saviour: Knowing that there will come scoffers walking after there own lusts, asking” Where is the promise of His coming? It has been for ever He talked about it from Noah, to Abraham, David, and all the other prophets, He has been talking about this sense the beginning of creation” Do not take offense at what Peter says next. People that thank this way and do not understand this are willing ignorant: That the heavens of old (In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth) that were standing both in and out of the water, being overflowed perished.

2nd Peter 3:7 That the heavens and the earth which are know by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

Do not thank that his flood was Noah's flood.

Jeremiah 4: 22For my people is foolish, they have not known Me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge. 23I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.24I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.25I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. 26I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger. 27For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.

Verse 22. God is not happy with My (His) People that would be His people at the time of Jeremiah, The time Peter wrote 2nd Peter and today. They are foolish(they despise wisdom) They are sottish children (foolish and kinda stupid) They don't understand Me at all They are only wise at doing evil but to do good they have no knowledge of that at all. Again I will say God is not happy with His people that do not understand this.

Verse 23.I beheld the earth: I God looked at the earth. And, lo, it was without form, and void: It had gone from a beautiful fruitful place It was now and empty wast land. And the heavens, and they had no light. The stars in heaven, the son, the moon, and the light of God Himself was gone from it. I am going to give you verse 23 from the Strong's Concordance copied from Biblehub.com.

Verse 23: I beheld the earth: Strong's Hebrew 7200:1) to see, look at, inspect, perceive, consider. And, lo, Direct object marker
Strong's Hebrew 853: 1) sign of the definite direct object, not translated in English but generally preceding and indicating the accusative. It was without form and void: Strong's Hebrew 8414:1) formlessness, confusion, unreality, emptiness1a) formlessness (of primeval earth) 1a1) nothingness, empty space. wasteland, wilderness (of solitary places)1d) place of chaos1e) vanity and empty;Conjunctive waw | Noun - masculine singular Strong's Hebrew 922: 1) emptiness, void, waste. the heavens, Article | Noun - masculine plural Strong's Hebrew 8064: 1) heaven, heavens, sky 1a) visible heavens, sky 1a1) as abode of the stars 1a2) as the visible universe, the sky, atmosphere, etc 1b) Heaven (as the abode of God) and they [had] no lightConjunctive waw | Adverb Strong's Hebrew 369: 1) nothing, not, nought 1b) not 1c) to have not (of possession) adv 1d) without w/prep 1e) for lack of life 1h) light of prosperity 1i) light of instruction 1j) light of face (fig.) 1k) Jehovah as Israel's light

Verse 24: I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. This was not Noah's flood, it did not move the mountains or split the plates of the earth.

Verse 25. I beheld, Who beheld? God beheld and what did he behold? There was no man! That is right there was no Noah, no 3 sons, and wives. I want to go back to the Strong's here: man was left; (hā·’ā·ḏām) Article | Noun - masculine singularStrong's Hebrew 120: 1) man, mankind 1a) man, human being 1b) man, mankind (much more frequently intended sense in OT) 1c) Adam, first man 1d) city in Jordan valley. And all the birds of heaven were fled.

Genesis 7:2 Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female. 3Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth. How many of every clean beast was Noah to take 7pair = 14 not just the birds but all clean animals

Genesis 7:13. In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark; 14They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort. 15And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life. 16And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.
Verse 17:And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in. And they went in male and female of ALL FLESH That mean 2 men and 2 women of every race went into the ark. Unless the flood did not cover the whole world. Do not take this as any type of a racial remark; I do not care how many couples from what ever race you want to pick they can only make a child of that race. Noah and his family were of the line of Adam from Noah came Abraham and from Abraham came David and from David came Jesus. There is no way a couple from India could have a Filipino child, nor could a Japanese couple have a Caucasian “white” child and so on and so forth. So All Flesh had to include all the races.

I will finish this up but I have used up almost all my caricatures I am sure.

About the creation:

- We are given a PROGRAM of God’s creation!

- Everything is well-organized!

- Each period ends when all the elements of the period are created!

- That’s the ESSENCE of the old testament: ORDER!

- Yes God is ORDER!

- And everywhere in the Old Testament is ORDER!

- That’s probably why it is so difficult for man to understand it!

- God is ORDER and man is DISORDER!

- And it is worst with modern society which is TOTAL DISORDER!

- And above all there is NO PILOT ON THE PLANE!

- In fact, I hate the words Testament, Old and New Testaments!

- Thus it presents the two parts of the Bible as if they were things of the past!

- But that’s not the case, we have GOD’s MESSAGE and this message is ALIVE!

- We are given INSTRUCTIONS TO LIVE FOREVER BUILDING UP A NEW SOCIETY WE CAN’T EVEN IMAGINE!

- A society based on GOD’S JUSTICE!

- BEING ABLE TO WORK UNDER GOD’S CONTROL EVERY DAY AND LEARN FROM HIM CONTINUOUSLY!

- THE CONTINUOUS FIREWORKS OF LIFE!

- PERPETUAL KNOWLEDGE!

- But for the majority, the Bible is just an old book covered with dust!

- Poor humanity!

- The waking up will be so brutal but logical for those who sleep spiritually!
