Doing that would soon get you locked up, and rightly so.

I'm wondering if I need to put gun lovers on my ignore list on the grounds I don't trust their ability to rightly understand scripture.
What scripture are you suggesting those who own firearms arent understanding
What are you gonna do when the Mark of the beast gets issued and you cant buy sell or trade without it?
Do you understand that scripture?

Several pages back...
The OP admitted the thread topic was a ruse... and that "guns and God" was acceptable.
Now it appears the thread is about "Christian or coward", "Men or Mice", "smart or stupid", "taking action or pacifism", "sound theology or misinterpretation"...
and I also notice most participants have demonstrated fairly plainly which side of the "OR" they are standing on...
...............just sayin'

"Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things. And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?"

This is a good example of what I mean about rightly discerning scripture. Clearly I do not do the same and neither will people escape the judgement of God. I suggest people think about it.

Let me quote the scripture back to you. You who is in favour of guns is judging another incorrectly which according to that verse is inexcusable.

I don't have a gun because I don't want to have one. I'm not against them totally, but I believe they should be better controlled and monitored than they are. If I had one, it would be for self defense. It would be locked away when I didn't need it. I doubt I'd ever go to a shooting range, as I don't think I'd ever have much of a real use for it.

I do believe they should be better regulated and I don't think it's a sin or wrong to own one.

The 2nd amendment right to own fire arms, like all constitutional rights, was given to free people from God. The constitution is a legal document that enumerates the rights that God has given to the free people.
