Give us explicit and clear verses. Do not speak about catholics or about what "many" will do or will not do, who read bible from first page to the last page...

Get to the topic.
there is no topic for them to go to. that is why they keep conjoining verses to create something that is not there.

Indeed.. each proposing our Beliefs.. receiving rep and likes does not equate Truth .. it is superficial.. we can use them to interact with each other and agree.. but mounts to 0 with GOD who is not a respecter...

yet we Contend for the Faith sharing freely.. and we that speak in the name of GOD and share by the witness of the Holy Spirit are more accountable for what we proclaim.. so I speak not to be right as an individual.. for itchy ears are easily scratched..

So all I have is all I share as I receive... as I’m sure all do..

Of course I cannot post something that is not there. Thats why you cant post even one verse saying we are required to observe weekly sabbaths or that we are under the Old Testament law.

But I can post something that is there:

"It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything [from the Law] beyond the following requirements:
You are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things. Farewell."

(Acts 15:28-29)

-> These 4 things are the only things from the OT Law for Christians. And Paul even later said that we can eat food sacrificed to idols, if we do not have a problem with it, so, actually, only three remain.
It is not OK to eat food sacrificed to idols;

Acts 21:25, "But as for the Gentiles who have believed, we have sent a letter with our judgment that they should abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from what has been strangled, and from sexual immorality.” (ESV)

Revelation 2:14, "But I have a few things against you: you have some there who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, so that they might eat food sacrificed to idols and practice sexual immorality." (ESV)

Revelation 2:20, "But I have this against you, that you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and is teaching and seducing my servants to practice sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols." (ESV)

the instructions of Acts 15 to the gentiles- for it has seemed good to the Holy Sprit and us to lay on you no greater burden than these requirements - that you abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols, and from blood and what has been strangled, and from sexual immorality. if you keep yourselves from theses , you will do well. v.28, 29.
so there. nothing about Sabbath. remembers, gentiles did not know the law of Moses, that was the purpose of the meeting, to decide if and how to address them.
Well gb9,

Like your friends just ignoring all the scriptures and in the posts and questions sent you and repeating the same thing over and over and not even attempting to address my posts and the scriptures and the questions in them does not magically make what you say come true.

Please read posts # 806; Post # 809 and post # 811. You have not responded to any of these posts in regards to Acts 15 but just continue to say..... but ACTS 15; ACTS 15; ACTS 15 does not even mention God's 4th commandment therefore we do not have to keep it.

You have been shown in the posts above that the context of Acts 15 is...........

(1) New gentile converts having the Jewish BELIEVERS come to them insisting they must be CIRCUMCISED in order to be saved instead of faith (Acts 15:1-5)

(2) The chapter is talking about the Mosaic laws written in the book of Moses for the remission of sins with the focus on CIRCUMCISION which were a SHADOWS of things to come in the NC; But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God (Romans 2:29) There is a difference between; God's 10 commandments and that there is a difference between the two Old covenant laws which both have different roles; God's Law being the standard of SIN if you break it and RIGHTEOUSNESS if it is obeyed through faith and the Mosaic laws written in the book of Moses for the remission of SIN. These were all Shadows fulfilled in Christ (Col 2:14-17; Ephesians 2; Hebrews chapters 7; 8; 9; 10)

(3) Then we looked at the way you and your friends interpret Acts 15 using the same argument of; because God's 4th commandment is not mentioned in Acts 15 therefore we no longer need to keep it; and applied it to all the other TEN commandments showing that your interpretation is saying that OBEDIENCE is NO LONGER required to most of the other commandments as well; so its now ok to go out and steal' lie; murder, have other Gods; make idols etc etc....

(4) When a gentile believer is converted they are NO LONGER a gentile but are grafted into God's Israel (Galatians 3:16; Galatians 3:28-29; Colossians 3:11; Romans 10:11-13; Romans 2:28-29; Romans 11:17-24)

(5) These Gentile converts in Acts 15 where NEW converts v19, Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: v20, But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollution of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. v21, For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day. The Gentiles being grafted in have the laws of Moses being read in every city for further instruction so they can grow in faith

Now my friends you have had a LOT of scripture provided to you. It is up to you to be like a faithful Berean and study God's Word to see if these things be so. You have not been able to show anything from the scriptures that disagree with what has been provided to you in the posts above. Holding your hands over your eyes and ignoring God's Word does not make all the scriptures magically disappear and make what you repeat magically come true.

Take heed my friends that you do not become like the mainstream religion of the day where the scriptures are fulfilled in saying;

Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers, Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive: For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them and the Holy Spirit depart from you because of an evil heart of UNBELIEF. Those who are UNBELIEVERS in God's Word have no part in the Kingdom of Heaven

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

This includes the 4th commandment which is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11). If we break one of God's commandments we stand guilty before God of breaking them all (James 2:8-12)

There is NO scripture in all the bible that says that God's 4th commandment has now been ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to keep Sunday in place of God's 4th commandment.

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

May God bless you as you seek him through His Word.

Yet you ignore 200+ scriptures that disagree with, ignoring all my posts and questions in order to hold onto your traditions that break the commandments of God.

There is only deception in the teachings of man. Only God's Word is true and we should BELIEVE it. I have only shared God's Word with you, that you have chosen not to BELIEVE or look at in order to hold onto your traditions that break the commandments of God. Yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, that you might be justified in your sayings, and might overcome when thou art judged. You reject God's Word at your own peril because it is written............

For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

At these times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commands all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

If any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejects me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Let it be known to you that and others here that UNBELIEVERS have no part in the Kingdom of Heaven and the Word you reject will become the head of the corner and will witness against you on the day of judgement. Time is short. Seek him while he may be found. Tomorrow may be too late. Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at Hand. If the blind shall lead the blind they shall both fall into a ditch. God's sheep hear His voice because it is the Word of God.

Acts 20.7?

Do you really do as it says in verse 7.

Care to explain why they keep the "days of unleavened bread in verse 6 ?
Do you also keep the days of unleavened bread mentioned?
or only what mans teaching as told you.

the Sabbath had just passed, they where there eating a meal.
Nothing is said to be done all the time every week day here.

This was in the evening time, do you go to weekly church at night time ?
Do you eat your meals in the evenings, at church like they did?
Paul was working in the morning, do you work also this day at first light?

Nothing in those verses say to do this church service every week on sunday morning.
It was not even morning when those events occured.

Sunday morning worship is a tradition and teaching of man

well, I do agree with the Bible, just not your twisting and cutting and pasting and conjoining verses together , all the while ignoring history, chronological order, and context.

faith in the Lord Jesus Christ saves. not Torah, not Sabbath. i'll take what the Bible says as God's word. i'll take the words of Jesus and those who walked with Him. I'll not take your wrong opinions on what the Bible says. because that is what they are. opinions. wrong ones.

In word you say you agree with God's Word but when God's Word is shared with you and it does not agree with your interpretation of if then you do NOT agree with it and cannot say why you do not agree with it, but choose rather to ignore God's Word in order to hold on to your traditions that break the commandments of God.

Jesus says many are the same. They choose darkness rather then light because their deeds were evil. If you were from God you would believe His Word but you do not know Him who loves all because it is written He that says he knows him and does not keep His commandments is a liar and the truth is not in them.

He is calling you out of darkness, but you have chosen not to hear Him speaking to you. This is your decision and all of us are only accountable to God for the things that we do on the day of Judgement.

The light shines in darkness; but the darkness does not understand. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. Light is come into the world, but men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. Every one that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that does truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. Who can know the Word of God when there is no Word?

Time is short. Seek him while he may be found. Tomorrow may be too late. Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at Hand. God's sheep hear His voice because it is the Word of God.

God's voice says believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. not keep the Sabbath. 1st John 3, whole chapter. or the whole letter of Romans. or Jesus Himself, saying the work of God is to believe in the One He sent.

God's voice does indeed say BELIEVE in the Lord Jesus. It seems you do NOT KNOW what it means to BELIEVE.....

John 1
1, In the beginning was the WORD , and the WORD was with God, and the WORD w as God.
2, The same was in the beginning with God.
3, All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4, In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5, And the light shines in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6, There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7, The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8, He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9, That was the true Light, which lights every man that cometh into the world.
10, He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11, He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12, But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13, Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14, And THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth

Jesus IS THE WORD OF GOD and he tells us we ONLY HAVE LIFE by LIVING and BELIEVING EVERY WORD that proceeds out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4). If we DO NOT BELIEVE ALL His WORD we are NOT BELIEVING on the Lord Jesus who IS GOD'S WORD. UNBELIEVERS have NO PART in the KINGDOM of HEAVEN (Hebrews 10:26-27).

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) and like any of the ten, if we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

sounds like someone needs to stop making an idol out of a day. we are saved by grace through faith, for good works. it does not say we are saved by Sabbath, through Sabbath, for the keeping of the Sabbath.

the center for Christianity is the cross and the empty tomb . not Sinai and the tablets of stone.

He is calling all who have ears to hear and eyes to see. These are they that are blind and deaf. In times of ignorance God winks at and he is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

It is hard to kick against the pricks. Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For why will you die when he offers you life?

If the son shall make you free you shall be free indeed but if you are still in your sins you have neither seen Him or Know Him. Only the mirror shows the way. If your mirror is lost or broken how will you find the way when the road is narrow? you will be as the blind that have eyes but do not see and as those that have ears but do not hear and if the blind lead the blind both shall fall into a ditch. Only God's Word is true and we must BELIEVE Him who LOVES all so we can be FREE to LOVE as HE first LOVED us

I agree with all this. but keeping the Sabbath is not part of it. Israel only was given the Sabbath. not the whole world.

and by the way, since the Sabbath was based on the sacred calendar, and we have been on the Gregorian calendar for about 431 years, are you 100% beyond a shadow of a doubt sure that you have the right day. it would be pretty insulting to God to claim to keep the Sabbath as laid out at Sinai, but really have the wrong day.

Well the bible says "The sabbath was made for man"

Isaiah 66:23 (KJV)
And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another,
and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me,
saith the Lord.

and by the way, since the Sabbath was based on the sacred calendar, and we have been on the Gregorian calendar for about 431 years, are you 100% beyond a shadow of a doubt sure that you have the right day. it would be pretty insulting to God to claim to keep the Sabbath as laid out at Sinai, but really have the wrong day.
These people where sure about it, so am I sure of the right day of the week.

-Astronomy observence

"The human race never lost the septenary [seven day] sequence of week days and
that the Sabbath of these latter times comes down to us from Adam, though the ages,
without a single lapse."—Dr. Totten, professor of astronomy at Yale University.

"Seven has been the ancient and honored number among the nations of the earth.
They have measured their time by weeks from the beginning. The origin of this was
the Sabbath of God, as Moses has given the reasons for it in his writings."
—Dr. Lyman Coleman.

"By calculating the eclipses, it can be proven that no time has been lost and the
creation days were seven, divided into 24 hours each."—Dr. Hinkley,
The Watchman, July 1926 [Hinkley was a well-known astronomer].

"There has been no change in our calendar in past centuries that has affected in
any way the cycle of the week."—James Robertson, Director American Ephemeris,
Navy Department, U.S. Naval Observatory, Washington, D.C., March 12, 1932.

"It can be said with assurance that not a day has been lost since Creation, and all
the calendar changes notwithstanding, there has been no break in the weekly cycle."
—Dr. Frank Jeffries, Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and Research
Director of the Royal Observatory, Greenwich, England.

There is no question about which day the seventh day of the week is.

The weekly cycle
The break between the shift from the Julian to the Gregorian calendar?
There was a well known break of 10 days.

In 1582, that Thursday the 4th was followed by Friday the 15th.
The weekly cycle was not interrupted. Now take a look at 1752, Wednesday
the 2nd was followed by Thursday the 14th. Again, the calendar had to be
adjusted to correct it to the seasons but the weekly cycle remained unchanged.

The Origins of the Seven-Day Week, Eviatar Zerubavel

"Days, months, and years were given to us by nature, but we invented the week for ourselves.
There is nothing inevitable about a seven-day cycle, or about any other kind of week; it represents
an arbitrary rhythm imposed on our activities, unrelated to anything in the natural order.

But where the week exists—and there have been many cultures where it doesn't—it is so deeply
embeddedin our experience that we hardly ever question its rightness, or think of it as an artificial
convention; for most of us it is a matter of 'second nature.'

Interesting post Proveall,

The other thing and is what all the above is saying anyways is that any calendar changes have only ever effected the number of days and weeks in the year as well as the day names, it has never affected the number of days in a week and its why the Jews have always kept the Sabbath which is the same today as when it was first given which is also recorded in so many countries around the world.

God bless..........

Well we each in good conscience Keep the Sabbath Holy.. not all believers around the world can keep it at the exact appointed time.. I believe we go by where we abide... not by the letter.. you could actually fly to another time zone and it be Sabbath again which Highlights our freedom in the Lord to Love and worship GOD in Spirit and Truth without condemnation.. Faith that worketh by Love thanks to Our Gracious GOD.

btw.. what time are you at where you abide LGF? Nearly 4:00 an here

It is not OK to eat food sacrificed to idols;

Either you willingly ignore verses that you know are there or you read your bible very selectively.

"So then, about eating food sacrificed to idols: We know that “An idol is nothing at all in the world” and that “There is no God but one.” ...
But not everyone possesses this knowledge. Some people are still so accustomed to idols that when they eat sacrificial food they think of it as having been sacrificed to a god, and since their conscience is weak, it is defiled.
But food does not bring us near to God; we are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do."

1 Cor 8

If somebody believes in "gods" and is weak in his conscience, its sin for him.
