BECAUSE God is at work in you to will and do of His good pleasure (Phil 2.12-13)
Sure is...but it takes a lot longer with the disobedient and stubborn...waiting on their participation !

Actually the main purpose of the Sabbath was to cease from work. That is what is enjoined. It was of great benefit to slaves.
You don't think we are still spiritually enslaved to the devil ? resting from our own work is not going to get us free...we need 'more instruction and help from God to defeat that deceiver. God tells us How it's done but We have to DO IT !
See what James says ch 1v22...WE must be DOERS of the Word and not hearers only thus deceiving ourselves (thinking God will do it all for us). Too many Christians have been fooled with that false belief.

Amen! Believers are to "work out" their salvation (in regards to ongoing sanctification) and not work "for" their salvation (in regards to salvation by works).
It should NEVER be about WORKS for salvation because there is NOTHING that we can do to make ourselves RIGHTEOUS before God. All our RIGHTEOUSNESS that we do APART from Christ is filthy and full of SIN. The KEY however is FAITH in God's WORD to accomplish what it SAYS it will DO in US WHO BELIEVE. The NEXT verse is INDEED the KEY.....

FOR IT IS GOD THAT WORKS IN YOU TO WILL AND TO DO OF HIS OWN GOOD PLEASURE and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Philippians 2:13; Ephesians 2:8-9)

The part that we have to work out with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12) is our FAITH in the GIFT OF GOD'S WORD (Jesus) because we are to LIVE by EVERY WORD that PROCEEDS OUT of the MOUTH of GOD (Matthew 4:4).

IF we REJECT God's Word then we BECOME an UNBELIEVER and UNBELIEVERS have NO PART in the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.
This is because if we become an UNBELIEVER we are STILL in our SINS because we have REJECTED the GIFT of GOD'S dear son (Hebrews 10:26-27)

This is the same as there is NO scripture in ALL the bible that says that God's 4th commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are to follow Sunday worship in it's place.

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) and like any of the ten, if we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

The main purpose of the Sabbath NOW is to receive instruction. Mankind has grown out of Baby-stage when he needed much rest and sleep...now it is time to go to school and assemble before Christ our Teacher come from God - on the Sabbath ! read it in scripture.

in context, ( something that you and others have no use for ) James said earlier in that letter -let every one be slow to speak, quick to hear, and slow to anger, then he said what you posted after this. was not referring back to the law and Sabbath.

you're trying to be clever. But the first three commandments were between a man and his God. The last seven were to do with outward behaviour. And all were mentioned except the Sabbath injunction.
LOL if it had been you it wold have been mentioned first,
Actually this is NOT true at all. The first four commandments are our duty of LOVE to GOD ( Deuteronomy 6:5; Matthew 22:26-40 ) and the next six are our duty of LOVE to our NEIGHBOR (Leviticus 19:18; Matthew 22:36-40; Romans 13:8-10; James 2:8-12)

Jesus is quoting from the Old Testament ( Deuteronomy 6:5 and Leviticus 19:18)

Matthew 22

36, Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37, Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38, This is the first and great commandment.
39, And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40, ON THESE TWO COMMANDMENTS HANG ALL THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS.

Compared with ..............

Matthew 19
16, And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
17, And he said unto him, Why call thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: BUT IF YOU WILL ENTER INTO LIFE KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS.
18, He saith unto him, WHICH? JESUS SAID, THOU SHALT NOT MURDER, THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, THOU SHALT NOT STEAL, THOU SHALT NOT LIE, HONOR YOU MOTHER AND FATHER AND THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF
20, The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? 21, Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

NOTE: Jesus showed the rich ruler that he may have fulfilled His duty of love to his neighbor but not to God breaking commandment 1 and 2 loving HIS riches more than God. He went away sorrowful because he knew he did NOT obey God and loved his riches more then God.

Well Jesus makes it very clear that what he is talking about it, is the 10 commandments of God's Law.

What about James................................................................

James 2
8, If ye fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF, ye do well:
9, But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
10, FOR WHOSOEVER SHALL KEEP THE WHOLE LAW AND YET OFFEND IN ONE POINT, HE SHALL BE GUILTY OF ALL.
11, FOR HE THAT SAID, DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY SAID ALSO DO NOT KILL. NOW IF YOU DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY AND YOU KILL, YOU HAVE BECOME A TRANSGRESSOR OF GOD'S LAW.
12, So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

NOTE: Well James makes it very clear what he is talking about when he talks about the Royal Law of love. He is talking about the 10 commandments. So Jesus and James both agree that they are talking about God's 10 commandments which also include the 4th commandment which is one of the ten.

What about Paul? He wrote a lot of books in God's Word...........................

Romans 13
8, Owe no man any thing, but to LOVE ONE ANOTHER: for HE THAT LOVES ANOTHER HAS FULFILLED THE LAW.
9, For this, THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, THOU SHALT NOT KILL, THOU SHALT NOT STEAL, THOU SHALT NOT LIE, THOU SHALT NOT COVET; and IF THERE SHALL BE ANY OTHER COMMANDMENT, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF.
10, Love works no ill to his neighbour: therefore LOVE IS THE FULFILLING OF THE LAW.

Paul makes it very clear what he is talking about as well when he is talking about God's Law. It seems like Jesus, James and Paul all agree together what it is they are referring to when talking about God's Law. They are all referring to God's 10 commandments which includes the 4th commandment which is one of the ten ( E xodus 20:1-17)

So now that God's Word shows us what it is referring to. No need to guess, what are talking about, it is God's 10 commandments.

What does God's Word tell us about God's Law (10 commandments).........

The Law of God (10 commandments) which includes the 4th commandment is the work of God ( Exodus 32:16 ) whatsoever God does is forever nothing can be added to it or taken away ( Ecclesiastes 3:14 ). God's Law is perfect converting the soul ( Psalms 19:7 ). It is the very standard of the Old and New Covenants ( Exodus 20:1:17, Hebrews 8:10-12 ). God's La w was spoken by God himself to His people (Exodus 20:1-22). Jesus says Heaven and earth shall pass a way, but my words shall not pass away (Matthew 25:35). Gods Law is still in force today (Psalms 111:7-8, Revelation 12:17, 14:12, 22:14, 1 John 3:5-8, 1 John 2:3-4 etc.). The Law of God reveals sin to us so we can see ourselves as we truly are sinners in need of a Saviour (Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4). It is the great s tandard of the judgement (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, James 2:10-12, 1 John 3:4, Acts 17:31). God's Law is our teacher revealing sin and the character of God and brings us to Christ at the foot of the cross that we might be saved by faith by Him who loves us and washed us in His own blood (Galatians 3:24; Revelation 1:5).

What did the Jesus and the Apostles teach about God's Law....................

Jesus taught the 10 commandments…..

1. Jesus kept God’s Law (10 commandments) and said the Law and the prophets would not pass away (Matt 5:17-18)

6 Paul reaches all Christians under the NEW Covenant that God's LAW as known i n Jer 31:31-33 i s "written on the heart and mind" Heb 8:7-11
7. Paul tells all Christians that the OT text is to be used for Doctrine 2Tim 3:16
AND He never claims that "if I did not write it -- it is not scripture for us today" -- as one or two have imagined for us.
8. Paul tells all Christians that the 5th commandment is the "FIRST commandment with a promise" Eph 6:1-2 and is binding on all Christians.
9. God's Law (10 commandments) are holy, just and good(Rom 7:12)
10. God's Law gives us a knowledge of what sin is (Rom 3:20; 7:7)
11. The penalty of breaking God's Law without Jesus is death (Rom 6:23)
12. If we break God's Law we dishonor God ( Rom 2: 23)
13. If we sin we are "under the Law" and guilty before G od ( Rom 3:19)
14. We are saved by faith but our faith establishes the Law in us ( Rom 3:31)
15. If we are saved by grace we should not break God's L aw (Ro m 6:1-7)
16. We should not break God's Law if we are under grace (Rom 6:15)
17. We are to serve the Law of God through the mind because that is where sin starts (Rom 6:17; 7:25; 8:4; 12:2)

19. God's salvation frees us from sin so we can be obedient to God's Law and live a life of holiness (Rom 6:22)
20. We will be judged by God's Law and only those that are obedient will be justified because of their faith (Rom 2:4-13)
21. God's Law can only be obeyed through love and a changed heart which comes by faith in God's Word (Rom 2:21-29; 13:9-10; Heb 8:9-10)
22. If we break God's Law and are in unrepentant sin we will be lost and will received God's judgements (Heb 10:26-27)

John affirms the 10 commandments……

1. John says it is only by keeping God’s 10 commandments that we know that we know God (1 John 2:3)
2. If someone says that they know God and do not keep God’s 10 commandments they are lying and not telling the truth (1 John 2:4)
3. We should purify ourselves as Jesus is pure (1 John 3:3)
4. Sin is the breaking of God’s 10 commandments (1 John 3:4)
5. Whoever is abiding in Christ does not commit sin (1 John 3:6; John 15:4-10)
6. If you are in unrepentant sin you have not seen Jesus or know him (1 John 3:6)
7. John warns us that only those that are obedience to God’s Law are his true followers (1 John 3:7)
8. If someone is committing unrepentant sin they are following the devil and not God (1 John 3:7)
9. If you are born of God and abiding in him you will not commit sin (1 John 3:9; 1 John 3:6; John 15:4-10)
10. It is the keeping of God’s commandments that is the difference between those that are following God and those that are not following God (1 John 3:10; 1 John 5:3)

12. God’s true believers in the end days will keep all of God’s commandments through faith in Jesus (Rev 14:12; 22:14)

Peter affirms the 10 commandments……..

7. God has given us his precious promises and as we believe them God will grant us his divine power to live a life of Godliness (obedience to God’s Law; 2 Pet 1:2-4)

10 God is not willing that any should perish but that everyone should come to repentance and turn away from sin to follow God’s 10 commandments because those that do not will receive the judgements of God (2 Pet 3:5-14)

What did Jesus and the Apostles teach about the Sabbath in the New Testament?

1. It is lawful to do good on the Sabbath (Matt 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56)
2. Jesus made the Sabbath for all mankind (Hebrews 1:2; John 1:1-3; 14; Ephesians 3:9; Colossians 1:16-17; Mark 2:27)
3. Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath (Mark 2:28)
4. If you do not believe and follow God you cannot enter His Sabbath rest (Hebrews 4)
5. It is one of God’s 10 commandments we break it we are guilty or breaking all (James 2:8-12)
6. Breaking it is sin (1 John 3:4)
7. God’s true followers keep it Holy as God commanded (Rev 14:12; Rev 22:14; Eze 20:20)
8. Jesus is our example and he kept the Sabbath (Matt 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56; John 2:6; Matt 16:24; 1 Cor 11:1; Eph 5:1-21; Pet 2:20-22)
9. The Apostle kept the Sabbath (Acts 13:14; 13:27; 13:44; 15:21; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4; Rev 1:10)

Now the scary part for UNBELIEVERS is that the scriptures in this post are not exhaustive we have hardly touched the topic of SIN AND RIGHTEOUSNESS, THE JUDGEMENT and NC, LOVE which are all linked to God's Law (10 commandments) which includes the 4th commandment which is the 7th Day Sabbath....

I wasn't speaking of Salvation. I was speaking of Righteousness and Justification before God. I know you don't understand either one. But it just seems like basic reading comprehension to me. Which the legalist and judaizer apparently do not have. Its ok. You have to purposely twist scripture in order to promote your SDA philosophy.
You are not the first circular logic SDA legalist that I have spoken to. Righteousness is not by the law. You ignore that. You apparently don't care about Righteousness. Justification is not by the law. You ignore that. You apparently don't care about Justification. Salvation is not by the law. You ignore that. It appears all you really care about is working at the law.
Why do you serve the law? You don't know. You just think you need to. Because the vail is over your heart and mind and you are under the curse. Because I say so? No. Because the bible does.
Hello Grandpa,

Now there is no need to be nasty now and call people names is there? Do you think this is the fruit of LOVE? Why are you upset? Is it because you have been told we BELIEVE we are saved by Grace through FAITH and NOT by WORKS?

Even after telling you that we BELIEVE we are ONLY saved through FAITH in Christ (the WORD) you still post the above about the Works of the LAW? AMAZING.

Well now it is between you and God as you know now that you have been told what others BELIEVER you are only making things difficult for yourself by saying things about others that has no basis in truth. How sad for you.

Well that has no basis in truth whatsoever. Seems like you must of missed these......

Where does it say in all of God's Word that God's 4th commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now required to keep Sunday as a Holy day?

There is NO scripture in ALL the bible that says that God's 4th commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are to follow Sunday worship in it's place.

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

Romans . whole letter. Galatians whole letter. i'll take Paul over you.
Here you go do you really BELIEVE Romans the whole letter?

ROMANS

Chapter 1
v5 By whom we have received GRACE AND APOSTLESHIP, for OBEDIENCE TO THE FAITH among all nations, for his name:
v16, For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the POWER OF GOD UNTO SALVATION to every one that BELIEVES; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
v17, For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Chapter 2

v4, Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and long suffering; not knowing that the GOODNESS OF GOD LEAD YOU TO REPENTANCE?
v5, But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasure up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
v6, WHO WILL RENDER EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS:
v7, To them who by patient continuance in WELL DOING seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life:
v8, But unto them that are contentious, and DO NOT OBEY THE TRUTH, but OBEY UNRIGHTEOUSNESS ,<sin>, indignation and wrath,
v9, Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that does evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
v10, But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that WORKS GOOD, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:2
v11, For there is no respect of persons with God.
v12, FOR AS MANY AS HAVE SINNED WITHOUT THE LAW SHALL PERISH WITHOUT THE LAW: and AS MANY AS HAVE SINNED IN THE LAW SHALL BE JUDGED BY THE LAW;
v13, For NOT THE HEARERS OF THE LAW ARE JUST BEFORE GOD BUT THE DOERS OF THE LAW SHALL BE JUSTIFIED.

Chapter 3
v3, For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?
v4, God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou might be justified in thy sayings, and might overcome when thou art judged.
v27, Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
v28, Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
v29, Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
v30, Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
v31, DO WE THEN MAKE VOID THE LAW THROUGH FAITH? GOD FORBID: YEA WE ESTABLISH THE LAW.

Chapter 6
v1, What shall we say then? SHALL WE CONTINUE IN SIN, that grace may abound?
v2, God forbid. HOW SHALL WE THAT ARE DEAD TO SIN LIVE THERE ANY LONGER?
v6, Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that HENCEFORTH WE SHOULD NOT SERVE SIN.
v7, For HE THAT IS DEAD IS FREED FROM SIN.
v10, For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he lives, HE LIVES UNTO GOD.
v11, Likewise RECKON YOU YOURSELVES INDEED DEAD TO SIN, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
v12, LET NOT SIN THEREFORE REIGN IN YOUR MORTAL BODY, THAT YOU SHOULD OBEY IT IN THE LUSTS THEREOF
v13, NEITHER YIELD YOU YOUR MEMBERS AS INSTRUMENTS OF UNRIGHTEOUSNESS UNTO SIN: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of RIGHTEOUSNESS UNTO GOD.
v14, FOR SIN SHALL NOT HAVE DOMINION OVER YOU: FOR YOU ARE NOT UNDER LAW, BUT UNDER GRACE.
v15, What then? SHALL WE SIN BECAUSE WE ARE NOT UNDER LAW, BUT UNDER GRACE? GOD FORBID.
v16, Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to OBEY, his servants ye are to whom ye OBEY; whether of SIN unto death, or of OBEDIENCE UNTO RIGHTEOUSNESS?
v17, But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
v18, BEING MADE FREE FROM SIN, YOU BECAME THE SERVANTS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.
v19, I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now YIELD YOURSELVES SERVANTS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS UNTO HOLINESS.
v20, For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
v21, What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for THE END OF THOSE THINGS <sin> IS DEATH.
v22, BUT NOW BEING MADE FREE FROM SIN, and become servants to God, ye have your FRUIT UNTO HOLINESS, and the end everlasting life.
v23, For THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH; BUT THE GIFT OF GOD IS EVERLASTING LIFE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD.

Chapter 7
v7, What shall we say then? IS THE LAW SIN? God forbid. Nay, I HAD NOT KNOWN SIN BUT BY THE LAW: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
v8, But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
v9, For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
v10, And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
v11, For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
v12, WHEREFORE THE LAW IS HOLY AND THE COMMANDMENT HOLY AND JUST AND GOOD.
v13, Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
v14, For we know that THE LAW IS SPIRITUAL: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

Chapter 8
v1, There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, WHO WALK NOT AFTER THE FLESH BUT AFTER THE SPIRIT.
v2, For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
v3, For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
v4, That THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF THE LAW MIGHT BE FULFILLED IN US, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
v5, For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
v6, For TO BE CARNALLY MINDED IS DEATH; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
v7, Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
v8, So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
v9, But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
v10, ¶ And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
v11, But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you.
v12, Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
v13, For IF YOU LIVE AFTER THE FLESH YOU WILL DIE <sin>: but IF YOU THROUGH THE SPIRIT MORTIFY THE DEEDS OF THE BODY YOU SHALL LIVE.
v14, For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Chapter 13
v8, Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loves another hath fulfilled the law.
v9, For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
v10, Love works no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Seems like there is lot's to BELIEVE.....

There is NO scripture in ALL the bible that says that God's 4th commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are to follow Sunday worship in it's place.

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

Romans . whole letter. Galatians whole letter. i'll take Paul over you.
1. Paul was a Pharisee. A teacher of God's law. He continued to
call himself a Pharisee even after joining the church.

(Acts 23:6) Then Paul, knowing that some of them were Sadducees and the others Pharisees,
called out in the Sanhedrin, "My brothers, I am a Pharisee, descended from Pharisees.
I stand on trial because of the hope of the resurrection of the dead."

2. Paul loved God's law. It was a delight to him.

(Romans 7:22) For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being,

3. Paul called God's law holy.

(Romans 7:12) So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy,
righteous and good.

4. Paul knew that breaking God's law is the very definition of sin.

(1 John 3:4) Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law:
for sin is the transgression of the law.

5. Paul said that we don't nullify the law of God by our faith in Jesus Christ.

(Romans 3:31) Do we nullify the law by this faith? By no means!
Rather we uphold the law.

6. Paul often read from the scriptures on the sabbath (which is kept by the apostles 84
times in the book of Acts). And the only scriptures at that time was the old testament.

(Acts 17:2) As was his custom, Paul went into the synagogue,
and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures.

7. Paul was accused of forsaking the law of Moses when he first joined the church.
(And ironically, he's still being accused today.)

(Act 21:21) They have been informed that you teach all the Jews who live among
the Gentiles to turn away from Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children
or live according to our customs.

8. These accusations were shown to be false.

(Acts 21:24) Take these men, join in their purification rites and pay their expenses,
so that they can have their heads shaved. Then everyone will know there is no truth
in these reports about you, but that you yourself are living in obedience to the law.

9. When Paul was accused of forsaking the law of Moses, he always denied this,
and said he does live according to the law.

(Acts 24:14) But this I confess to you, that according to the Way, which they call
a sect, I worship the God of our fathers, believing everything laid down by the Law
and written in the Prophets,

10. Paul said that those who refuse to submit to the law are "carnal minded"
and hostile to God.

(Romans 8:7-8) The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit
to God's law, nor can it do so. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

11. Paul continued to travel to Jerusalem to celebrate God's feast days
after joining the church.

(Acts 18:21) But bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this feast that
cometh in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if God will. And he sailed from Ephesus.

12. Paul often quoted from Moses's writings, and cited it as authority.

(1 Corinthians 9:9-10) Do I say this merely on human authority?
Doesn’t the Law say the same thing? For it is written in the Law of Moses:
“Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain.” Is it about oxen that God
is concerned? Surely he says this for us, doesn’t he? Yes, this was written for us,
because whoever plows and threshes should be able to do so in the hope of sharing in the harvest.

13. Paul claimed that ALL scripture is good for instruction in righteousness,
and given through inspiration of God. He never singled out Moses' writings.

(2 Timothy 3:16) All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking,
correcting and training in righteousness,

14. Paul mentions that the levitical priests are still offering sacrifices to God
even after Christ's death on the cross.

(Hebrews 8:3-4) Every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices,
and so it was necessary for this one also to have something to offer.

If he were on earth, he would not be a priest, for there are already priests
who offer the gifts prescribed by the law.

15. The most well known teaching in Paul's letters is the one where he says
"you are not under law but under grace".

Millions of people quote this scripture, they almost always leave out the scripture
that immediately follows it. Watch what happens when you add the context....

(Romans 6:14-16) For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under
the law, but under grace. What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law
but under grace? By no means! Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to
someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey--whether you are
slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?

16. Paul told the Colossians not to let anyone judge them because they were observing
God's sabbaths and feasts because these appointed times are "a shadow of things to come".

Meaning they reveal future events, just like the passover foreshadowed Christ's
sacrifice on the cross.(Colossians 2:16-17)

17. Paul never repremanded anyone for obeying God's law. Instead, he repremanded
new gentile converts, the Galatians, who were trying to be justified by the law,
instead of faith in Jesus Christ.

(Galatians 2:16) Know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith
in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by
faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.

18. The Galatians, who Paul was repremanding for trying to be justified by the law,
were going back to serving other gods after they were circumcised. This is why Paul
had to explain that the works of the law can't earn your salvation.

(Galatians 4: 8-11) Formerly, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those
who by nature are not gods. But now that you know God—or rather are known by God
—how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable forces? Do you wish
to be enslaved by them all over again? 10 You are observing special days and months
and seasons and years! I fear for you, that somehow I have wasted my efforts on you.

- those weak and miserable forces where not Gods convocation

19. Paul understood that obedience to God's law is a natural result of salvation.
Once you become a true christian, God writes His law on your heart and mind,
and causes you to walk in them.(Hebrews 10:16)

(Hebrews 10:16) "This is the covenant I will make with them after that time,
says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds."

20. Paul's letters come with a warning label attached to them.

(2 Peter 3:16-17) He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these
matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant
and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.

Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you
may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position.

Romans 7 v. 4 " therefore my fellow believers , you died to the law through the crucified body of Christ, so that you might belong to another, to Him that was raised from the dead, in order that we may bear the fruit of God. v.5 when we were living in the flesh (trapped by sin ), the sinful passions , which were awakened by the law........

v.6 but now we have been released from the law and it's penalty, having died ( through Christ ) to that by which we were held captive, so that we may serve in the newness of the sprit, and not the oldness of the letter ( of the law).

so there you go. unlike ya'll, who have to pluck conjoin, there is Scripture, actual direct quotable Scripture, about not being under the Law, so stop lying and saying that Scripture like this does not exist.

Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only,
but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
Philippians 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
how about that?
And grieve not the holy Spirit of God,
whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

-
But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore
he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.

-
For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of
the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance;seeing they crucify
to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God
hath given to them that obey him....

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name
of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Repent ye therefore, and be converted
, that your sins may be blotted out, when the
times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord

We are not/no longer under the law 'contained in ordinances/.works which Yahshua/Jesus dealt with on the cross Eph 2v15; Col 2v14'....but all men still have to answer to the law of Love....loving God and each other...that is spiritual and eternal...or does that law no longer exist for you ?

Hello gb9,

There is nothing wrong with the scripture you quoted it is just your interpretation of it.

ONLY BELIEVERS ARE NOT UNDER THE LAW OF SIN AND DEATH .............

If you are living a life of known unrepentant SIN you are indeed UNDER THE LAW.......

Romans 3

9, What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: FOR WE HAVE BEFORE PROVED BOTH JEW AND GENTILES, THAT THEY ARE ALL UNDER SIN.

Romans 3
23, FALL ALL HAVE SINNED AND FALL SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD;

Romans 3
19, NOW WE KNOW THAT WHAT THINGS SO EVER THE LAW SAYS, IT SAYS TO THEM UNDER THE LAW; THAT EVERY MOUTH MAY BE STOPPED AND ALL THE WORLD BECOME GUILTY BEFORE GOD.

Romans 2
6, He will repay each one according to his works:
7, To them who by patient continuance in WELL DOING seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life:
8, But unto them that are contentious, and DO NOT OBEY THE TRUTH, but OBEY UNRIGHTEOUSNESS, INDIGNATION AND WRATH,
9, Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that does evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
10, But glory, honor, and peace, to every man that works good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
11, For there is no respect of persons with God.
12, For AS MANY AS HAVE SINNED WITHOUT THE LAW SHALL ALSO PERISH WITHOUT THE LAW: and AS MANY AS HAVE SINNED UNDER THE LAW shall be judged by the law;
13, For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

Romans 8
1, There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2,
FOR THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE IN CHRIST HAS MADE ME FREE FROM THE LAW OF SIN AND DEATH .
3, For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, CONDEMNED SIN IN THE FLESH: <Why?>
4, THAT THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF THE LAW MIGHT BE FULFILLED IN US WHO WALK NOT AFTER THE FLESH BUT AFTER THE SPIRIT.

Romans 6
12, Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
13, Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
14, For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law <SIN AND DEATH>, but under grace.
15, What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
16, Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
17, But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart <NEW heart> that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

You are under the LAW OF SIN AND DEATH IF YOU ARE LIVING A LIFE OF KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN!

If you have accepted God's gift of Grace by FAITH you are FREE from the LAW OF SIN AND DEATH meaning you are NOW FREE NOT TO SIN because you have been forgiven and now have the POWER to walk in NEWNESS of LIFE........

Those living in known UNREPENTANT SIN do NOT KNOW Him who LOVES all and need to SEEK Him in REPENTANCE and CONFESSION of SIN because they do not KNOW God and are NOT FREE from SIN.

1 John 3
3, And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
4, Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
5, And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
6, Whosoever abides in him sins not: whosoever sins hath not seen him, neither known him.
7, Little children, let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8, He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9, Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
10, In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever does not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loves not his brother.

If you have KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN in your LIFE you are INDEED Still "UNDER THE LAW" and an UNBELIEVER. It should be also made CLEAR that UNBELIEVERS have NO place in the KINGDOM of HEAVEN until they REPENT, CONFESS and BELIEVE the WORD of God. Faith is the VICTORY.

Hope this is helpful....
