Faith comes first, but an obedient faith will produce good works=good fruit. Remember these, we are saved by grace
through faith, and also grace reigns
through righteousness, and a proof of this conversion is that sin will have no rule over your life if you are truly
under grace.
Here's an old post I wrote which explains how Grace, faith, and even righteousness is imputed to us as a gift, but
the proof of this being active in a person who claims to be in Christ will be in the fruits they produce.
The grace and the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ is a gift as is shown here….
Romans 5:17 “For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)”
Romans 5:21 “That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Galatians 2:21 “I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.”
But if we are to reign with Christ by the grace of God, and to also abide in His righteousness, do we then walk in unrighteousness? For all unrighteousness is sin. (1 John 5:17)
Romans 6:13 “Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
2 Corinthians 5:21 “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Again if we are truly made a new man in Christ, and Christ is truly in us, do we continue to walk in unrighteousness?
1 Peter 2:24 “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”
So truly you will know who is, or who is not, in Christ by their fruits.( Matthew 7:20)
1 John 2:29 “If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.
1 John 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
1 John 3:10 “In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.”
1 John 2:6 “He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
Don't forget that GOD does not need to see your faith In a
physical way.
