I'm reminded of the story about someone who said to a Bishop - 'I don't believe in hell' to which the Bishop replied - 'Don't worry my son, you will when you get there.' Just a thought.

I know its a real place.
OK. I can see why. You have embraced the verses that say "cast into" literally as being cast into a location. But, just for the argument's sake, lets agree that it can also mean, cast into a situation. Example; "the death of my wife CAST me into deep depression". Example; "The money policies of central banks have cast the economies of nations into disarray".

If we take the first meaning, we have to have a LOCATION. Now Isaiah 66:22-24, speaking of the New Earth, says;

22 "For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh."

  • Verse 22 addresses Israel on the New Earth. It promises that the "seed", or the offspring, or the people of Israel will never again be cut off.
  • Verse 23 introduces geographical phenomena of the moon in 28 days, and solar phenomena of 7 days. This shows a physical earth, and not heaven, for cycles of the moon and sun affect the EARTH. And the requirement is that "all flesh" must come to worship before God. Now, since on the New Earth we have "all flesh" (since all men are resurrected - Rev.20), the Lord must be living on earth in Jerusalem as Jesus Emmanuel.
  • Verse 24, if taken literally, says that once they have worshiped Emmanuel (God with us), the worshipers will leave Emmanuel and "go forth". And in "going forth", "all flesh" will "look upon" men in the Lake of Fire. This places the Lake of Fire next to Jerusalem. And since it is literal, then right next to God's Residence is a LOCATION of screaming men and literal smoke ascending day and night. Even worse, next to God's residence is a LOCATION that that contains "an abhorring to ALL Flesh". Now ask yourself, is there any king who ever lived, who would set up his palace next to Lake of Fire that is full of screaming men and women, IN SIGHT all the time, with the sky full of smoke, and a putrid stink reaching the noses of all flesh?
But if we take the second meaning, that of living men suffering INTERNALLY - tormented in their bodies and souls, as Matthew 10:28 and Mark 9:43-48 say, there is no stink to disturb the tranquility. On any one day one can walk through Central Park, New York, and walk past people suffering immensely, but without a sound or smell of their torment. A divorce, a bankruptcy, the death of a loved one, depression, mental illness are all present in the people who walk through Central Park. Yet do you notice? Only if they are marked! If New York introduced a tattoo across the face of pedophiles, then, to the passerby thy would become "an abhorring to all flesh"

I think that if we take all the evidence, then the Lake of Fire, which is described by the Greek word "perdition" is place where an individual can be, but it is a "place" of immense and unending physical and psychological suffering. The term, "LAKE" gives the connotation of the earth's two floods when God judged the earth before Adam (Gen.1:2) and at Noah's time. That is, the sufferers will be IMMERSED in pain. The term "FIRE" gives the connotation of continuous agonizing flame. True to all God's examples, the Lake of Fire conjures up, in one short phrase, all the suffering and misery fo those "who transgressed against God".

Hell is the sufferings of the wage of sin. It began in the garden when man sinned and the glory of God departed. Death according to the letter of the law had begun its work . Like many doctrines the foundation is revealed in Genesis . Cain is used as a example one one who could not bear it and desired to die because of the sufferings.

Genesis 4: 13 And Cain said unto the Lord, My punishment is greater than I can bear. Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.

Cain found out he did not get to choose the death penalty but his sufferings without the rest of the gospel would be applied .God sealed it with a mark 666 .Natural unconverted mankind suffering the wage of sin in a living body..

Its not a place we go to .Or a sufferings after the grave. Dead bones will not be raised and judged. (Catholicism)

Wherever a person goes there they are. Hell if the living sufferings we experience in these bodies of death the sufferings we experience when we harden our hearts and do not receive rest being yoked with Christ.

Yes, this is what I was referencing.
Empty as in the letter of the law death has not been cast ? Not one jot or tittle will be removed until the last day .The letter of the law will not rise up and again destroy a whole creation by corruption, causing the living sufferings of hell .

Yoked with Christ makes the burden lighter .

Its not dead bones tossed in to it .the Pope Formosa trial. That's a Catholic doctrine the foundation of necromancy .No one dies. .They have many things going on after the possibility of spirit life has disappeared . Raising up dead man bones and declaring them guilty was debunked as well as purgatory. . .They are still passing around dead body parts to be venerated worshipped .

Pointing the finger ... he's guilty !

Dead flesh returns to the dust and the temporal spirit subject to the letter of the law will not rise .

Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

No life after death with those who did not received a new born again spirit . They will not rise on the last day

No you can not see why.
Our knowing God goes beyond words on a page.
Yes the hidden things of God (faith)

As it is written reveals the understanding that goes beyond the page.

Its called the law of faith, or law of believing God. No mixing of faith . .no vision . No vision as a law people perish .Both laws work as one perfect law .They cannot be separated.

Amen Derek.
Sorry for not introducing yet, but this topic drew my attention. Hell is real and demons already walk as humans with us. This world is shaped in the image of the devil and we are consuming it on a mass scale. You don’t need to be a religious person these days to see which evil forces have taken over the human race. Our food, our meds, our healtcare, educational system. There’s a hierarchy at play not serving mankinds best interest. The numbers and symbols are constantly in our face but when you address these to most people, they’ll laugh this away. But when we do our research right, we can clearly see there are evil forces at play that are beyond mankinds control. Something has infected our minds several thousand years ago and we’ve been building satans empire ever since. This “infection” has only grown worse while the “elect” have only learned how to control it better and Better. And I am not talking about corona but about sin.
People laugh at RFID, neuralink and all these other stuff. But time will show them there’s a genuine battle for our mind and they have already erased a lot of peoples mind. Just show some images in a row and their hate is a trigger to murder anyone wearing a shirt supporting X or Y. It is so easy to fuse ones hate and ignite a city if you just sequence the right images in a row and cut some here and there, paste some here and there.

We have seen these ingredients before haven’t we? And we know where it’s heading to. It’s like we are looping as mankind and the next “reset” is to come. Costing millions if not billions of human lives probably. But having faith in the bible it will. Let us keep our eyes on Jesus.

Hardening of the heart.
Do you see Gods dynamic in this.

Pharaoh chose to harden his heart first
Then God hardened it the rest of the way.
Works both ways.
Choose to soften your heart and God softens it also.

Speak the word continually to those who don't want to hear and it will harden them to it, for judgement.
Tell them once then keep you mouth shut and look for the right time to speak again and their may be a chance for them
Apples of Gold in setting of silver.

We work with him the power is not of us.

I would offer. Like repentance and all things God in us must do the first works i to both will and empowers us. In that way he performs that which is required us. God with us. making the load lighter by giving us a new spirit and soft heart.
Without him we can do nothing.

God alone can make our hearts soft. Not softening the Pharaoh heart only confirmed unbelief, no faith .

Job 23:13-16 But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth. For he performeth the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him. Therefore am I troubled at his presence: when I consider, I am afraid of him. For God maketh my heart soft, and the Almighty troubleth me:
