The Spirit of God and the Word of God matches up...if something is going on that don't match up to the Bible and the Word of God then you know for sure that it is not of God.

Charity is the most important thing...And I'm sorry but name calling and feuding just ain't gonna cut for anyone.
Please point out where I was “name calling” and “feuding”, thanks!

That's why you should know more about who you are talking about and what doctrines they hold to as well.
Actually, I’ve done quite a bit of research. I do know quite well who I’m talking about. I also have family and friends caught up on some of what I was referring to.

I've never been to a Pentecostal church where people were barking like dogs and doing things like that. If I did walk in to a church where that was going on then I would walk out. Knowing that it was not the Spirit of God.
I’m glad to read that. Nowhere did I say all Pentecostal churches have such “manifestations”, many do and I know this very well.

Not everyone that calls themselves Pentecostal are really Pentecostal. There are many out there that do things that are not of God and not of the Spirit of God. But you can't judge all people by what some of them do.
Where did I say I was judging “all people”? In fact, it’s not the people I am speaking against; our battle is not against “flesh and blood”. What concerns me are the lying signs and wonders and the heretical and sometimes blasphemous things being done in the name of the Holy Spirit. If you haven’t, I encourage you to do some careful research into this topic.

There is a real genuine Spirit of God and there is a fake.
Obviously, I never said otherwise.

As for the fake, it's easy to recognize, but you can't throw off on all Pentecostal because of there some bad ones out there.
Once again, I did not say I was “throwing off all Pentecostals.” People are not our enemies, we are in a very real Spiritual battle and we are called by the word of God to test all things and be discerning.

Many are indeed deceived in so many churches today by these “manifestations.” As I already wrote, I personally know people I love and care about who are. You may think discernment in these matters is simple, it’s not. We must pray for guidance every single day.

I grew up among two denominations Baptist and Pentecostal. From what I witnessed the Pentecostals in my family where the ones who had to take the most flack, and got called names because of their beliefs in speaking in tongues.

From my experience, I never saw one of the Pentecostals telling one of the Baptist family members that they were less than them or headed to hell because they didn't speak in tongues or worship the same way. But you can believe me when I say the Pentecostals were constantly made fun of and persecuted. So I guess, I saw them as the ones having a more contrite spirit. But I am sure this is not the case all the time with all Baptist and Pentecostals, but that is why I said people should love one another and not slander and call each other negative names just because of denomination.

I grew up seeing the slandering and it is ugly and I don't think God is happy when any denomination does this kind of thing. We should all love each other and pray for each other is all I'm saying.
While agree with the last statement .My experience is that they do say others do not have the whole gospel filled with the Holy Spirit unless we seek after a signs and wonders gospel . With wonders representing a another source of faith other than Christs alone, the kind that comes from hearing God through the scriptures . In that way sign seekers make the cross without effect. the kind that Christ sait of those who seek after requiring a sign before they would believe they are filled with the Holy Spirit Jesus call them a evil generation (natural unconverted man) . Big difference

For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;1 Corintians 1 :21-23

They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work? John 6:30

Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe. John 4:48

The first part of that was something I had written before and not to you and I edited it.

As for the rest, what I am saying is there are too many people out there giving Pentecostals a bad name because they are faking it and doing things that are not biblical and referring themselves as Pentecostals or even Christians for that matter (the fakers).

And then there are the others that are giving them a hard time because they don't agree with them doing things which are biblical such as what's talked about in Acts and Corinthians.

So yeah, it's a really ugly situation for some Pentecostals when all they are trying to do is follow the Bible and then get met with so much criticism and persecution over it.

And yeah, I do agree that there are many out there that are deceived and that is a sad situation. And yeah, we should pray for them that God opens up there eyes to the fact that they are deceived.

Thanks for the reply. I have to go for now, but will read this later and try to get back to you on it.

Okay, thank you for clarifying.

As for the rest, what I am saying is there are too many people out there giving Pentecostals a bad name because they are faking it and doing things that are not biblical and referring themselves as Pentecostals or even Christians for that matter (the fakers).
Many of these churches belong to official Pentecostal branches. And, to be honest, although I’m sure there’s fakery, I don’t believe it’s all fake. I do believe there is something actually going on. Many of these “manifestations” are exactly like those seen in Eastern religions.

And then there are the others that are giving them a hard time because they don't agree with them doing things which are biblical such as what's talked about in Acts and Corinthians.
That is not what I am referring to. I don’t believe in just giving people a “hard time.”

So yeah, it's a really ugly situation for some Pentecostals when all they are trying to do is follow the Bible and then get met with so much criticism and persecution over it.
Again, this is not what I am referring to. I have no issue with people trying to “follow the Bible”, obviously.

And yeah, I do agree that there are many out there that are deceived and that is a sad situation. And yeah, we should pray for them that God opens up there eyes to the fact that they are deceived.
I agree. And we should be humble as well and realize that we too can be deceived. Which is why we must cherish and respect the word of God and earnestly pray for and seek discernment.

You have not read all of the post. It points out just how ridiculous people are in judging how others worship God....... I do go into detail in the OP. You really should reread it.

If you do not read the entire post when you reply it is written that you are not wise........you are responding without hearing.

Here is a very good example of not getting the message due to not factoring in all the words there of.

In Isaiah, God tell us, "Bring your argument to Me, that you may be proven correct."

Boy, did i EVER HAVE THAT ONE WRONG FOR SEVERAL MONTHS, THINKING this would be possible.

God was referring to bringing your argument fro your idols and false gods so that one may be proven correct..........impossible, and totally taken out of context....praise God.

I get the hot and cold it applies to the doctrines of God that fall from heaven like drops of rain .And God does the scoffing (stammering or mocking lips) as a sign against those who refuse to beleive the word of God.

How would that apply if not a doctrine of God but rather a doctrine of men ? like in Charismaticism? The word sign as a gift that men must seek after in order to be filled with the Holy Spirit is not a doctrines of God.

Jesus said its an evil generation (natural unconverted men) that say "seeing is believing" .They have no faith just the imagination of their own desperately wicked and beyond cure heart

Yep, I used to call myself a Bapticostal...For some reason, I can't find a song to post about it....It must be some kind of rare bird or something...LOL...JK

I really don't like to call myself by a denominational name anyhow...:)
