How do you deal with multiple people calling someone who witnesses a bigot for saying that Christianity is the right way?

In other words, if you say that Christianity is the right way and there is no other way, there are people who want to call Christians bigots for that.

You kindly tell them that they have mistaken your utmost confidence, as intolerance.....

Obviously the people who think you are wrong believe they are right, so that makes them about as bigoted as they claim you are. If there is absolute truth, and it can be known even if only in part, then some will necessarily be right about those parts that can be known, and others wrong or simply not in the know. Truth is exclusive by nature. Why should you care that bigots think you are a bigot?

Usually when people start a fight like that, they can make it personal and you have lawsuits and the sort.
It is also difficult to communicate the truth to people who start fighting you.
And there are public speakers who give advice and tell their readers that you should never defend yourself as a public speaker but have someone else defend you.
There are pastors that won't have two people debate a topic in their church unless they can rise above name calling and having a debate disintegrate into that lower level stuff that you might find on the street. There has to be order because you can't control crowds in church when you have 2,000 people.

I went over my neighbor's house because I wanted to give my neighbor the gospel and once she heard the word "repent" she started throwing stuff at me which hit me, calling her friends to make me feel ashamed, having them call me to make me feel ashamed, and she went on the warpath attacking me on the phone for a long time.

Because that it the best response they have and the media trains them to be like that....you never hear of islamic or buddhist people who also feel their way is the only way and do evangelize others about their faiths being called bigots, yet Christians are called bigots because like I say "The Truth Hurts but it's good for you" The other religions are lies so it feels comfortable for the flesh but when The Truth of the Gospel confronts a person, it's like a bright spotlight on all their sins/fleshiness that they get hot under the collar due to the radiance and light of the Gospel exposing their dark deeds...

She sounds like a very abusive person. You could have had her charged with assault and battery. No doubt she has reasons for her behaviour which in her mind are rational justifications for how she reacted, but that does not make it any less criminal. And getting her friends to harass you on top of all that? Certainly makes me curious to know her story. Remember Desiderata? There was that line about listening to the dull and ignorant but avoiding loud and aggressive people because they are vexatious to the spirit. Still, there is a story there...

Maybe, just maybe, not all who are called bigots are actually bigots. Have you ever thought that was a possibility? I've been called a bigot many times for lovingly opposing gay marriage etc. and for believing that Jesus is the only Way, the only Truth, the only Life and that He's the only One to find salvation in. I'm sure that's true of the situation many Christians find themsleve in on a regular basis. Does that actually make them bigots? Heck, no!

And now I am curious to know also, all those times she held you captive on the phone, was she just spilling out her toxic waste all over you, or were you able to get any questions in, and explanations from her without all the added verbal abuse?

If they spat on and insulted Him, why would they treat His servants any better?

I don't care who it is, if you oppose gay marriage, cohabitation before marriage etc....you will be called a bigot....that does not mean to stop standing for the truth...

If I tell the truth to an unbeliever and he doesn't like me and calls me a bigot(s)-- I am because I'm BIG On The Savior ....yo!!!!

And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD; for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Jer 31:34

A person who own their own property has the right to believe what they want to believe. Since Christianity is the prevalent faith in the US [?] issues are usually going involve them which doesn't reflect upon all Christians.

However, I had a Christian minister using his position with the city was allegedly telling a neighbor he could dump trash on my property and ended up with my going to the city to address the situation; talk about having people laugh in your face hard and patiently waiting till they got it out of their system and then showing them documents, pictures that show the trash pile getting larger and plain sight of items he is issuing me citations yet doesn't mention or cite those which it was alleged he was participating in. Not to mention the anonymous letters threatening the gathering of the tares. Good thing the LORD told me what was going on before I knew it because if I hadn't been prepared they had actually dumped a 10,000# of solid waste which could have carried a 2 year state jail sentence since you are automatically guilty whether you did it or not if it is dumped on your property. So you might see what some people get offended when you encounter those who think their opinion is the Gospel.

I dont have a problem with standing up what you believe but most christians lack the maturity to understand that others are not obligated to follow your beliefs.

understand that the world Hates the word of God because it testifies that sin is sin. all you really can do is pray for them. lies, homosexual activity, greed, lust ect.....each is sin. a liar will hate being told that lying is sin. an adulterer will hate being reminded that it is sin ect......the world itself those who follow darkness will always hate the light of Gods word. Jesus Christ is the absolute only way. I have lost nearly everyone because of this, but I pray that someone else may reach them all. there isn't a way to avoid the worlds hatred for Jesus, or righteousness but He already warned us it was coming to those who hold to the truth. God bless you remember your life, the truth and the purpose you are sharing His word. even if someone rejects it or attacks you.....someone may just accept a seed that God will cause to grow.

Most Christians? That's quite the generalisation. Some, I can believe though.
