The only Bible I have ever gotten rid of is a Good News Bible I had never read, and I didn't know where it came from. It got water damage, and was basically unreadable, so after about 15 years, I finally burned it. I didn't want it being used for evil purposes and I couldn't think of what else to do with it.
I have more Bibles than I can count. Different translations, different languages and study Bibles. I tend to gravitate to one version for English for a while, till the spine breaks and the notes section is too full to add anymore. I do use on-line Bible quite a bit, but for nightly devotions, I like the feel of paper, and being able to underline and make notes in the margins.
I do keep new Bibles to give away. I want someone to start fresh, and not deal with all my scribbles and notes!
