how can we distinguish the true church, from the bad church?
we have to to look at the foudation. we must compere the doctrine carefully,
if that particular churh teaches the trinity which is not in the bible, and teaches that
mary is the mother of God, run as fast as you can from that church.
if a church teaches that you go to heaven at death, and that you are born again, and
saved forever without conforming to the comandmets of christ and stay with it,
and that all you need is go to church every sunday, and that we dont have to worry
about the prophesies, because it is all negative. run as fast as you can.
the doctrine must harmonise with all the scriptures.
remember Jesus has warned us concerning the last days, dont ignore his warnings.
God judges the quality of our worship,he sees how sincere we are in worshipping
him. Jesus adviced us to learn of him, mat.11:29. to learn of him only proofs
that we are realy serious, in wanting to know him. anyone luke warm, he will spew
out. many christians will have to go through the grind(trib.) because of this.
choose your church very carefully, i know that there isnt too many good ones out
there. stick to the scriptures. may God bless, and assist you.

Can I ask what denomination you are a part of, or at least most closely affiliate yourself with? Thanks.

Anyone who does not follow the Holy Spirit is not of the True church. Doctrine doesn't distinguish. Some people even now listen to doctrines of demons. Man synagogues are not the true church.

i am a follower of Jesus christ and non denominational.
i found them all in error in their doctrines, and that puts me right off,
so i just focus on the scriptures and have been doing it for 41 yrs. i have gained so much knowledge in the last 10 yrs everything sort of opened up,thank GOD.
i dont have a church to defend, i defend the truth. thank you for your question.

do you know who the holy spirit is?
dont judge the holy bible because men has abused it.
you should blame men. you recieve the holy spirit by searching the sriptures
you only can find the truth through the scriptures.
may i suggest you read john6:54. 55.56.
you have to eat the flesh of christ,he is the word ,and we eat the word(search).
regards.

i said i dont belong to any organisation(church)

Consider the first century church started by Peter and the apostles. Do you want to take a gander at proving that they were not the true church? These people fellowshipped with each other almost constantly, showering each other with acts of love. They shared a communion every sunday. None of them chose to withdraw from each other and say, "I know better".

Of course, that was the "true church". Evidently you have been unable to find the "true church".

This I know. We do not find God, God finds us. If you are having trouble find the "true church", perhaps you should be praying that the church will "find you".

Of this I am sure. The true church is not spending time alone in your room, telling everyone else in an electronic medium, that unless they believe as you do, that they are all in the wrong church.

The Holy spirit should be our guide. churches like the people who make it up are not perfect we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. we must alert them of their sin and allow for repentance and renewal. God loves all His children let us not fight amongst our brothers and sisters in Christ.

lets just let our light Shine to lead the lost to God

God is spirt and his church is not made of brick and mortar.

I agree that we know a real church by whether its teachings line up with the scriptures, and whether it lives them out. If both of those things are true, then it is a true church.

It is, at least in my experience, very difficult to find churches of this sort, but that's not to say that they don't exist.

Did it ever dawn on you that the words that Christ spoke when He said concerning the last days, "Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many," that He had you in mind? You deny the Trinity, but you offer no exegetical work that disproves Jesus is true God, or that God is multi-personal. In fact, I've been hoping that you would offer up some sort of presentation of your doctrinal beliefs, and a defense of them, rather than random assertions. There's nearly 7 billion people world-wide, and each claim they have "the truth." So show us and tell us the truth in all things, if indeed you have it.

a good church is the one where you go and only focus on Jesus and not too much with how they run the house.
We go to church to praise and worship our King, He should be our sole focus.

martha martha ............... mary chose the better part - JESUS

Read the Creed of 381 AD in Greek, Latin, and English, if you want the truth. If you can't read Greek and Latin, rely on an Orthodox Christian translation in English. Get an Orthodox prayer book, and look at the Creed. It exists in pure, pristine, holy form, without the FILIOQUE heresy. There is the definition of the Church. God will take care of any chaff (weeds) along with the what and sheep of the Church. You won't find a definition of perfect or sinless for any definition of the true church. Just the "I confess one baptism for the remission (forgiveness) of sins". In Erie PA Scott R. Harrington

Anyway who follows this litany of grief against what he perceives as errors doesn't deal with the possibility than 'wakeup" himself may be in error, and in need of correction by the Scriptures he professes to understand. No one is infallible in interpretation of the Bible, but some people may be more correct and more biblically-literate and informed than others, so these have the ability and right to correct the errors of others. When I err, someone who has more correct knowledge of Scripture may, of course, correct me. And show me where I fall, if I have fallen into heresy: God save me from heresy. Take care.

The GOC does teach that after a Christian is born again in baptism, he must continue to live by and keep all the the commandments of Christ (Christ didn't do away with the ten commandments), and we must stay with HIM until the end of life. In Erie PA Scott R. Harrington GOC = Greek Orthodox Church one holy catholic and apostolic church

the true church consists of them that follow Jesus where ever he goes.

God the father,God the son, God the holy spirit?

where is God the holy mother of God?

why is she left out of the picture? is this not dishonouring the mother of god?
